I blew a scab the size of half my pinkey finger out of my nose yesterday and it felt like the biggest relief ever. I managed to clear the other side later and got the best sleep I've had in weeks last night.
Last night was awful. I woke up around 1am in pain. My belly was hurting, like I ate something bad. It was our "healthy dinner" night and we roasted sweet potatoes, butternut squash and brussel sprouts... It must have been the brussel sprouts. I thought SO was going to have to take me to the hospital! I got nauseous, and in addition to a bellyache, it also felt like I needed some antacids. So I had some TUMS and half a glass of water. 10 minutes later, I puked everything out: undigested sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts and squash. So gross. Just really glad it wasn't anything serious, just indigestion?
I knew there was no ultrasound scheduled, but I had a little spotting last week and sorta hoped the OB might want to take a look just in case when I told her that. Instead, when I told the nurse she was like, oh, she might want to do a cervical check in that case. Of course my husband and I had morning sex like right before the appointment, which would have been pretty embarrassing for an unexpected exam, but the doctor asked a few questions and reassured me that without itching, pain or cramping, and since it resolved on it's own that she wasn't worried and no exam necessary.
So I learned my lesson, no trying to manipulate the OB into extra ultrasounds.
@NoraAurora I'm dying with that gif! But I get it. hahahah
I'm starting to think I have a yeast infection. Things are just really uncomfortable down there... meh.
and, i think this was in the randoms thread, but oh my gosh the backne! Gah! DH was like "what is even going on on your back!" jeeez thanks for making me feel good about it.
@NoraAuroraI thought this was just a weird thing happening to me lately that I didn't want to admit out loud. Is this a real effect of pregnancy?? What is the deal? Makes me feel a little better though that I'm not just suddenly really bad at wiping...

So my doctor explained that while baby is growing, the smooth muscle in our uterus... uteri? our wombs... becomes still, or doesn't contract, which slows down all the smooth muscle in the neighborhood, including the intestines, which is why we get constipated. So without the usually effective movement of peristalsis, our bowel movements are likely not totally complete and thus the... Andy from Parks and Rec effect. Incomplete BMs.
Also glad I'm not the only one, thanks @NoraAurora and Chris Pratt.
