Re: PGAL Check-In | 5.9
Weeks: 12+1
Next milestone/appointment? NT scan tomorrow. Still awaiting the results of my Panorama.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm a freaking basketcase for my NT scan tomorrow. My few pregnancy symptoms are all pretty much gone, so I'm worried that there's won't be a heartbeat or if there is a heartbeat that there will be issues for concern. Trying to calm myself. I've asked DH to stop trying to calm me by telling me that everything will be ok, but rather whatever happens that I am strong enough to handle it.
Questions? No questions. Just good vibes requested!
GTKY: Favorite sport/sports team?
I hope everyone's ok with this one, because I'm going with it. My favorite sport is football and I'm a huge Green Bay Packer fan. I have to say though that I'm pretty obsessed with my Cubs these days though! I find baseball boring when my team isn't winning, but the Cubs are on fire this year!
Next milestone/appointment? 12 week check up this Thursday, wont have my NT scan until next week
Rant/Rave/Anything else: nothing much, just hoping to sail past these next couple appointments with good news and finally feel like I'm in the clear.
Questions? nope
GTKY: Im not really big into sports :-/
Next milestone/appointment? NT scan on Wednesday! I'm really nervous and I just want baby to be growing and everything to be normal. @chloe97 good luck with your scan tomorrow!
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I woke up this morning feeling particularly not pregnant. I'm freaking out. My boobs aren't sore at all, and I just feel normal... I'm hoping this is just the start of the "feeling awesome in second tri" going on, but PGAL brain is worried about MMC. Especially since I had a good amount of dark brown spotting a couple of weeks ago. I haven't had any spotting recently, baby looked good at the 10 week scan, but I'm still worried. I really want this baby, and I want it to be healthy.
Questions? Is anyone else losing first tri symptoms?
GTKY: I don't like sports so I'll give you a random fact about me. I used to surf and kiteboard in high school.
Weeks: 14+6
Next milestone/appointment? A/S is booked for 6/10.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I had a rough weekend. I've had vasovagal syncope since I was 2. Basically I will encounter something that triggers my blood pressure to drop and then I pass out. I usually lose consciousness only for a minute or two, but my heart rate drops dramatically as well. It was really bad in my teen years and I was having episodes weekly, I had a loop monitored implanted for a year to track my heart rate. My cardiologist wanted to put in a pacemaker, but my parents and I decided against it. Since about age 20 I've been able to manage it really well with no medication or medical intervention and I usually only have an episode once a year. I was really worried about how my body would react to pregnancy.
I never had an episode with my other two pregnancies and I was in the clear until about week 12 this time around. I've had 5 episodes in 2 weeks all triggered by vomiting (2 just this weekend). I mentioned it to my OB when I saw her last week and she is sending me to a medical disorders in pregnancy clinic to see a specialist. I'm really worried as to why all of a sudden I'm having episodes like this again. I won't be able to see the specialist until I get back from my trip to the States in a month. I am hoping I don't have more episodes while I'm gone.
Questions? None
GTKY: Favorite sport/sports team? I was raised to love all New England sports teams (Pats, Celtics, Sox and Bruins). Although I have become a Calgary Flames fan since moving here. I kind of stopped watching US sports closely except for playoffs. I usually just keep up with the CFL.
@EDK2010 I'm so sorry to hear about your issues the last few weeks. Hopefully you get answers soon. Good luck!!
Next milestone/appointment? Next appt. is 6/2
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I had a great 12 week appointment last week. They found the heartbeat on the doppler right away and all of my testing has come back normal up to this point. We also found out that we're having a girl and couldn't be more excited. I was feeling pretty okay last week and over the weekend with the exception of a mild headache that just wouldn't go away. Now the headache is gone and I am beyond exhausted. I actually just fell asleep at my desk at work. Yikes! I'm hoping that I just overdid it this weekend with traveling and not sleeping well, but I haven't been this tired my whole pregnancy. I would leave early, but I'm meeting with my boss at the end of the day and telling her that I'm pregnant, so I really need to stay.
Questions? None
GTKY: Favorite sport/sports team? Ohio State Football and Duke Basketball. I'm not a big pro sports fan, but I really enjoy college basketball and football.
Next Milestone/Appointment: NT scan and genetic test next week. Sooooo nervous.
Rant/Rave/Anything Else: My new doc totally talked down to us at our 1st appointment with him. DH almost got in an argument with the doc over it. Plus he told us supplement advice that was outdated. DH and I both are from dietary supplement R&D.
I liked my old dr's approach better. First thing he asked us was our professional background so he could tailor the dialogue.
Questions: Only rhetorical ones.
GTKY: DH grew up in Pittsburgh, and it's a requirement for household peace that I have no loyalty but to Steelers and Penguins. Pirates apparently I'm free to be neutral.
Luckily, I had no preexisting loyalty. I grew up in a household with only mild sports interest.
Unexplained infertility
NTNP: 10 years!
TTC: Since 2014
5 IUI: BFN
IVF 1: MC
IVF 2: BFP! DD 11/20/16
Next milestone/appointment? Next appointment is 5/24, my last loss milestone is May 31 (my due date). I am not sure how I am going to feel that day.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I had a really great weekend. We had our moms over for an early dinner yesterday. My mom got me a couple cards, one was a mother-to-be card and one was a loss card. I read the note from the loss card later in the evening. It was sweet, but sad. My mom wasn't the best during/after my loss. By no means did she do anything on purpose but she just said and did the wrong things. Mostly because no one really knows what to do and say in these situations. I had talked to her about it per the advice from my counselor. Now I read her note in the card and I think she feels really bad. Thats not what I wanted. We will have to sit down to talk sometime soon.
Questions? nope
GTKY: What's your favorite sport/sports team? Green Bay Packers!!!

TTC#2 April 2019Weeks: 12+5
Next milestone/appointment? Tomorrow, with my Perinatologist to check cervical length & overall condition leading up to my loss milestone (16w). I literally have an appt. every week for the next 8w-- I'm being watched like a hawk right now, which is both comforting and nerve-wrecking.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: As some of you mentioned, my symptoms are starting to fade/change. This happened with my last pregnancy as I cam up to 13w, so I'm guessing it's just want my body does? A new symptom is that I cannot get comfortable in bed. I've tried my snoogle, pillows, no pillows, no covers, lots of covers and nothing is really helping. I think I'm also just very anxious right now-- just adding to being uncomfortable. Fingers crossed that this will fade, just like everything else.
Questions? Nope.
GTKY: What's your favorite sport/sports team? Baseball. SF Giants-- We've been season tix holders since before I was born (now my husband and I have our own seats, too, but they're not quite as good as my Dad's, LOL), when they were at The Stick.

Next milestone/appointment? Genetic testing blood draw on Friday
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I told my mom last night and was disappointed in her response. Basically "make sure this one doesn't run off!", this after my sister saying she wouldn't be telling her kids right away this time just in case. You'd expect better when one dealt with IF and the other two losses, but they are both exceptionally good at fellating their own feet, so I really shouldn't be surprised.
Questions? @MissAmeliaPond mine have begun to calm a bit too. I figure my boobs have done their growing for the time being, and 2nd tri is around the corner.
GTKY: From @chloe97 ;What's your favorite sport/sports team? Not big into sports but I'm originally from the PNW so it does make me happy when the Seahawks win. And my ex was a Packers fan so, sorry, but it's an exceptionally good day when the Seahawks beat the Packers XD I now live in MN so I should care about the vikings but nope. Actual sport I care about: all the equestrian. Cross country jumping is fun to watch even if I'm too chicken and poor to ever do it myself.
BFP #2 3/21 EDD 11/28/16
Next milestone/appointment? Geneti My next appt is May 26th. Time passes so slowly between these appointments! @MissAmeliaPond - My early symptoms have subsided too. Particularly the nausea. I remember the same thing happening with my girls, but it is still a bit nervewracking.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I told my my 4 year old about the baby this weekend. I was going to wait til after the next appt, but it was hard to hide with my belly being huge. She was super excited, and is talking about the baby a lot. But it's making me more impatient for the next appt so I can have reassurance that things are OK.
Questions? None
GTKY: What's your favorite sport/sports team? I'm not big into sports.
BFP 3.8.16 EDD 11.20.16
Next milestone/appointment? Wednesday is my 12 week apt, ultrasound and genetic testing! This first tri has gone by so so fast!
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I wish this sickness would decide what to do. I wasn't sick for two weeks and the last two days I've thrown up multiple times a day. Maybe it will all pass soon.
Questions?
GTKY: From @chloe97 ;What's your favorite sport/sports team? I'm not a die hard sports fan but I cheer for the Steelers and the Astros
Weeks: 11+2
Next milestone/appointment? NT scan on May 20th
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm just so exhausted allllll the time - it's so frustrating...
Questions? None
GTKY: THE Ohio State Buckeyes! Football is my fav, but I'll watch and cheer them on in any sport.
Weeks: 12 (13 tomorrow!)
Next milestone/appointment? Friday I have a cervical length check. I kind of just don't want to move, or sneeze, or breathe for the next few weeks just in case.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm starting to get my energy back. And definitely having fewer food aversions, which is freaking wonderful.
Questions? Nope!
GTKY: From @chloe97 ;What's your favorite sport/sports team? I'm not really a sports person, but I do love how excited people get around here whenever the giants or the 49ers or the warriors do well. I'm agnostic to the sport and the team, but I like yelling and getting excited with other people. So you tell me who to cheer for, and I'm there.
Next milestone/appointment? NT scan a week from today (good luck to everyone having theirs this week!)
Rant/Rave/Anything else: The lower back pain has been horrible this week. I have to buy a pregnancy pillow on the way home from work tomorrow!
Questions? Why can't I sleep through the night anymore??? (That was rhetorical... Just venting)
GTKY: What's your favorite sport/sports team? Miami Dolphins. I went to my first game at 10 days old (what were my parents thinking???). My dad is so excited to watch football in his mancave with his 1st grandchild. My mom reminded him that he can't jump up and down and scream anymore but he insists that there is nothing he'd rather do then sit in my grandfather's rocking chair, holding his grandkid, while watching football. This makes my heart melt.
Unless this scan is crystal clear, it looks like we are going to have to opt for the CVS or Amnio. As my Dr said, this has been a confusing pregnancy from the beginning when my HCG levels severely plateaued right before 6 weeks.

Next milestone/appointment? Next appt is June 7.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I passed my biggest milestone last week at 10w6d which is when I had an u/s for my last one and found out it had stopped growing weeks before. Needless to say, I was a bit of a wreck last week. I had an appt with my midwife Thursday and though she wasn't planning to do a heartbeat (apparently it can be hard to find before 12w), she knew how much I needed it and tried it anyway with a back up plan to do an u/s if it didn't work. And she found the heartbeat in seconds. Nice, strong, 165bpm. It was such a relief and made me comfortable with finally telling my family and boss.
Questions? Nope
GTKY: I'm not actually a big sports fan, but my heart will always belong to the Buffalo Bills due to many football parties growing up in western NY! If I had to choose a sport to watch regularly, it would be soccer (Sounders) or hockey (Sabres).
Update: The ultrasound was extremely concerning. Baby is now measuring 10 days behind (based on o-dates and dating ultrasound), head is extremely large, placenta is very very small. I had a CVS, but because the placenta is so small, they aren't sure they got enough product from it. It's pointing towards the fatal chromosomal abnormalities- the Dr thinks it's most likely triploidy, but could also be T-13 or T-18. It will probably not be Downs. Though there is a chance, the baby could still be chromosomal lay normal, what the Dr saw on the u/s looks very concerning.
We are beyond devastated.

Rant/Rave/Anything else:
Questions? Anyone else on oral progesterone.
GTKY: From @chloe97 ;What's your favorite sport/sports team?
I don't care much about sports BUT I was born and raised in Ohio and a close friend of mine who was a HUGE Buckeyes fan just passed away. So the Buckeyes are in my heart.
