@harleyquinn0621, and welcome back @ceclarlinetlo: <-- We've really settled into our new house and I absolutely love it. I planted tulip bulbs when we first moved in and they're in bloom now, making it really feel like home.

Re: TTTC Checkin - 05/03/2016

• I'm on day 3 of stims and will go in to the clinic Thursday morning for a follie check. I'm expecting IUI to be on Monday the 9th if my body responds the way it did the previous two times.

How would I survive a zombie apocalypse? Honestly I don't think I would!

• I'm four days into my tww, trying not to go crazy  I've really gotten into acupuncture, and that helps some, but man...it's hard not to get hyper-focused on the wait! I feel like a toddler staring at an oven filled with unbaked cookies and asking every minute if they're done yet LOL

I figure if there's a zombie apocalypse, I will just dress up and act like a zombie and hide out at Bill Murray's house ;-)
• Hi ladies,
BFN last week after clomid, injection and TI. I wanted to give up but DH has kept us moving forward so I go in on Thursday for a Day 4 u/s (since I am travelling for work tomorrow) and will start another clomid round. I also just scheduled an appointment with a reiki master which I have never done before...hoping that if I unblock my chakras babies will come flowing into my life!

Hi all, been MIA for a bit. I went to the re after AF arrived for my baseline for round two and they found two cysts. I went on bcp for a month before going back for another us. The cyst was still there but very small and my estrogen levels were nice and low so they gave me the go ahead for round 2! I am on my last day of letrozole and am going for a folli check on Friday. I'm hoping I actually respond this time and have my IUI on Saturday.

Qotw I would probably board up my house and camp out in the basement. I'm sure my dogs would bark like crazy and give away our hiding spot so I would say we would last 2-3 days.
• WTO here... no new plans for this cycle, but I'm going to see if I can get my progesterone checked this cycle.
We're trying to decide when we want to start IUIs...

QOTW - Maybe build a treehouse to live in? Zombies can't climb trees right?

I received a call from the RE office.... they confirmed my progesterone level indicated I ovulated (unmedicated) this cycle... I tested this morning with a WONDFO BFN 14 dpo- I don't think it will be my time this cycle but at least I am ovulating. I have a follow up appointment tomorrow morning

I'm on CD 3, waiting for CD 5 to start my third round of Clomid. Still no O.

QOTW: What would you do to survive a zombie apocalypse?
Actually, I rather think we're prepared in this household. We live with my husband's best friend from childhood, and he has just about everything you'd need. Guns, survival gear, etc. I would be the person who would make sure we had food, we'd all be about defense and we'd get somewhere safe.

• Not much new here. I'm just waiting and trying to stay optimistic over here! I let my GP know that we were looking at 6 months before seeing the RE and she said she would try calling their office to see if there's anything more we can do. Got my "day 21" progesterone back from my baseline bloodwork and I still can't tell if I ovulate or not based on the result (4.7 ng/mL or 15 nmol/L if that means anything to anyone…). Regardless I'm carrying on with the metformin and am hopeful it will help me out in the PCOS department.

As far as zombie apocalypse goes I definitely would not survive haha! I am a huge wimp.

• Today is a bad day. The results of ICSI #2 are that of the three mature eggs retrieved yesterday, one collapsed and the other two didn't fertilize. Between bad eggs, being a poor responder, and MFI, we're struggling to even get halfway through a treatment cycle. As it was with ICSI #1, we're finding ourselves with 0% chance of pregnancy during the two cycles we're trying the hardest.

This is so disheartening. What to do after two complete failures like this?? ICSI #1 had one fertilization that only lasted one day, and now we have ZERO fertilized??? Please help ladies, this feels like it's my lowest point in 2 years.
• @iloverocksalot I am so so sorry. That's so heartbreaking to hear. My only advice is to just let yourself feel how you feel and be kind to yourself. There is no right way to grieve and I don't think there is any way to move past something like this without moving through it. Don't bottle your emotions up - cry if you need to, eat an entire gallon of ice cream, binge watch Netflix, whatever you need to get through the day and worry about tomorrow when tomorrow gets here.

Ill lol be thinking about and praying for you today. *biggest hugs*

• Hi ladies, I figured I would officially join in now since I've been lurking a lot and have jumped in on a post or 2.

1). We've been trying 9 months/8 cycles

2). Officially diagnosis is still to come, DH and I have been meeting with and working with an RE. My HSG was normal and looked good, and got my CD21 blood work back yesterday and that looked great. DH's SA was not so great based on the initial Dr.s note on the results. We have another appointment with the RE on 5/18 to discuss all results in detail and make a plan.

3) Will have an official treatment plan on 5/18.

QOTW: Hmm, I don't know if I'd just try to hide in our house - we have lots of food or sources since I have a huge garden, or if I would try to run and fight in a zombie apocalypse...
• @iloverocksalot I'm so sorry about this devastating news  Have you talked to the RE about future plans? I've read from some ladies on the IF forum that sometimes things change so drastically from one cycle to the next, so maybe ICSI #3 will be successful. Keeping you in my thoughts <3

• @iloverocksalot I'm really sorry to hear you are struggling and I can attest that the lows are so much lower than I ever anticipated and I am right there with you. I echo the other gals-- allow yourself to feel and to share what you are going through rather than close yourself off from friends and family (what I tend to do). I find the ppl who love me want to be there for me- they just don't know how but I do feel better after connecting with someone I am close to. Just take it hour by hour-minute by minute and keep moving through your routine. I wish I had magic words but the truth is this sucks- and feels really bad. However, moving through difficult times is part of our journey and our growth. Lots of love!!

@iloverocksalot I am so, so sorry. Your heart must have dropped like a rock when you heard that news. I hope you can do something just for you - a massage, spa day, or even just a long bubble bath. Self care is so important when you are in those valleys of this journey. Big hugs to you.

I haven't checked in for a while so I'm going to give a quick update on where we are at. I found out about my low AMH/high FSH 6 weeks ago. We are now two years into TTC, and have had two losses in that time. DH has borderline low morph but his SPA was fine, so hopefully this means his prognosis is good. We couldn't get in to see the RE until July so now we are just waiting. I'm waiting for AF after negative pregnancy tests from 11-14 DPO, and this next cycle is a bust because I'm traveling during my FW. I'm going to use this as a time to take a break from everything TTC.

GTKY: this is a great question! DH has family land in the Upper Peninsula of MI in a remote area. We'd probably head up there with food and supplies and see how long we can last in the wilderness awag from densely populated areas. That is, if we can get out of the city before it really gets bad!

Has everyone seen this video? Oh man I laughed so hard!

• @AL_TwinCities thanks for the update - I had been thinking about you. I came back from a long break and didn't see anything from you and I was wondering how you were doing. I'm sorry you are traveling during your fertile week but I hope you find the break refreshes you.
Also that video is hilarious. I literally lol'd.

@AL_TwinCities July will seriously here before you know it, which sounds crazy but it's already May! How did that happen? We had more 'time off' than I would have liked but it ended up being good for both me and DH. I feel ready to try again, which I wasn't so sure if I would be after two losses. Hang in there :) and I live in Michigan and LOVE the UP! My DH is from Savannah and over the last 5 years I have been able to get him all over the state but he hasn't made it to the UP yet.
• @aera11 maybe you can show him pictures of the pictured rocks or the lake of the clouds in the porcupine mountains and he might be willing to go check it out :)

@ceclarlinetlo glad to see you! I hope you are doing well. Thank you for the support <3

• @iloverocksalot so sorry for the terrible news...I wish I had some words of wisdom for you

@jojomama25 welcome!

im on my third clomid pill tonight, no side effects thus far. It was a difficult day. I spent 5 hours straight (no exaggeration) yesterday applying for a federal gov job to find out it is really hard to get into the fed gov. My partner is crazy stressed about work, my sister is having life threatening medical problems and my best friend texted me a string of professional photos of her beautiful newborn son to cheer me up. I started crying after I saw the photos, it was just too much for me. I just want the weekend to be here already.

I would definitely not survive the zombie apocalypse and to be honest I don't think I would want to!

• @Aera11 I live in Michigan too! You have got to take your DH to the UP! I am not a native born Michigander, but DH is, and I hadn't been to the UP until after we were married - now it's the only place I want to go on vacation! @AL_TwinCities - that's awesome that DH's family has property up there - I'm slightly jealous!

@Ducks&Cats sorry you are having such a rough time - I hope you can take some time to take care of yourself too. I hope that things get better for your partner and that your sister will be OK!

@jojomama25 welcome!!

today I had a follow up with my RE. I've POAS the last three days (14,15 & 16 dpo) all BFNs - had an ultrasound today -Re said my uterine lining looked good and he wants me to test again in a couple of days if no AF....if AF does arrive I'll be starting Clomid 100mg on CD3 .... So it's just a waiting game right now- although he seemed to think I still might be pregnant I'm not sure how much I believe I'll still get a + after 16 dpo ...unless my days were that far off.....

Hi ladies! I didn't want to say anything until I had confirmation but I got a very faint positive on a hpt Tuesday morning. My first beta on Tuesday came back at 19 and even though I knew it was early I was so sad to hear such a low number (I was expecting a little higher because my test said the cut off was 25). I just got my results from yesterday and it nearly quadrupled to 74 in 48 hours so it looks like things are going as well as they can for now, and I have an appointment for an ultrasound June 1. Please keep me in your thoughts as I have never had a good ultrasound and I have never seen a heartbeat. It has been 19 months since we decided to TTC and I'm hoping so hard that this is our rainbow.

This has been a wonderful board to participate on. Goldenkeys you are so wonderful and I truly appreciate the effort you've spent making this a safe and friendly space. I hope to see many of you on another board soon!

@iloverocksalot - That is so disheartening and I am so so sorry to hear that. I know no words can make it better, but please know that I am sending so much love to you right now! <3

@lablover78 - So sorry to hear about your BFN. I hope this cycle goes much better for you!

@Ducks&Cats - I am so sorry to hear that you are having a rough time. Literally that exact same thing happened this week while I was struggling (a friend sent a string of baby pictures with good intentions). It's so hard when other people don't seem to understand....<3

@ceclarlinetlo - CONGRATS!!! <3

UPDATE: This week was a complete rollercoaster for us. We went from thinking that we needed to abandon yet another cycle, to my levels soaring and I have two 17mm follicles and am doing a round of IUI tomorrow and another round on Sunday! This will be our first official cycle of treatment as we had to abandon the last one, and I am feeling hopeful (but I know much too hopeful....it's so hard not to get your hopes up). After this weekend, we will be in the dreaded 2WW. Just did my trigger shot today (CD18), and I'm taking meds to slow down my levels as the FS is worried that they are now getting too high (who would have thought?) Good luck to everyone out there!! xo

We've decided to go for Ivf. Hysterectomy next week. New doc. She did a sonography and said my uterus is a little heavy. Feeling low. At least I had a ruptured follicle. We BD on CD 10 so let's see, today's CD 13.

• @nuttymask I've never heard a doctor describe a uterus as "heavy" what does that mean? I hope you get more info at your hysteroSCOPY ; assuming that's what you meant, since a hysterectomy would be pretty detrimental to the TTC process

• My latest update copy/pasted from the May IUI thread:

I had my follie check this morning and I'm very stimulated. I have 2 mature follies, but 11 total that have a risk of maturing by our IUI on Monday. My follies are as follows: right ovary 14.7mm, 17mm, 13.7mm, 14.6mm, 12.4mm, 14.7mm, and left ovary 14.1mm, 15.4mm, 13.4mm, 13.5mm, 18.4mm. They grow 1-2mm per day so there's a good chance I'll have quite a few. And my estrogen levels are through the roof at over 600, which means my eggs are maturing so they aren't worried about immature eggs. The doctor talked to me about the risk of multiples and selective reduction. With our current sperm numbers, he said we have a 15-20% chance of success (I thought it was lower actually) but the chance of multiples is obviously less than that even so we're going through with it. My IUI is scheduled for Monday at 9:45am (with sperm drop off at 8:45). I trigger tonight at 8pm!

I went ahead and canceled all my clients for Monday (I'm a family therapist in private practice) because I had painful O cramping the days of both my previous IUIs. Just planning to extend my weekend an extra day and take it easy so that my body can do whatever it needs to do! :)

• Hello beautiful ladies!

On friday, after a day of high highs and low lows, we were able to secure financing for the partial ICSI cycle and consolidate some other debt. We also refinanced our house, and after all is said and done we will actually be saving money! So now medically everything is good, assuming the PGD testing comes back that any embryos are normal or balanced (and if none are then I have no idea what to do). The frozen cycle is already paid for, since I didn't transfer last cycle due to Dr recommendation, so I will just have to pay for the travel there, which will, I think, be in August. But that's getting ahead of myself. Baseline for the partial cycle is May 31, and they are starting me on higher doses than last time in hopes of getting a better response.

@iloverocksalot *hugs* I am so sorry. My best advice is put something on netflix thathe you love, and makes you cry. Gives you a good, safe way to let some of that out. Maybe you should also consider talking to a counselor? Know we are all here for you!
