There isn’t anything wrong with it, but it does seem a bit, rugged and earthy compared to the lighter, more ethereal names your daughter's have. But if you love it go for it.

We are looking for masculine with a short nick name. But I want something that's 'longer'. For Aurora we call her "Roar" or Rora Kate a lot. Magnolia "Mags" or Maggie Jane. So we wanted a good guys name that is short but goes well with the longer girl names while staying masculine. Was thinking for Everett doing "Rhett or "Evs".
Also like Everett Luke.
We also tossed around the names Elias or Lucas. But seem kind of boring compared to our girl names.
Imogen and Everett are great. But why change the spelling for the nicknames? Why not Rett or Immy? I know those aren't standalone names but they make more sense as NNs for these names. Rhett and Emmy seem like their own separate names. As a person who was given a NN that doesn't quite make sense, requires explaining often and has stuck through to adulthood, I guess I'm sensitive to this.

We have an Everett and he goes by Rett most of the time! This spelling made more sense to me than the traditional Rhett.
After 15 cycles and 3 rounds of clomid (50mg) we got our BFP.
