Those of you whose LO's have experienced sleep consolidation, how has it been? What were his/her napping patterns before, what are they now, and how did the transition happen?
My LO is 14 weeks. He has been a 45-55 minute napper with 1.5-hour awake intervals for weeks and weeks, but in the last week or so his morning nap has intermittently been much longer (2-2.5 hours) but it's not consistent and I don't see it correlated to longer periods of wakefulness yet. Afternoon and evening look the same as always. So basically we've dropped from 5 short naps to 1 long and 3 short.
I'm interested to hear others' experiences, especially those of you who are ahead of me in the process.
Re: 3-4 month daytime sleep
He still only has maybe 1.5-2 hours of an awake period, before he's ready for some kind of nap. Whether that be a short one or a longer one.
I was doing some random googling and found this article that really helped out line what sleep should look like based on age. No idea at all how valid or credible it is but it gave me a simple idea of what the goal should be. Obviously all babies are different and could not be comparable to what the article said at all but at least for me it was spot on and I found it super helpful!

Mum having. Major nap issues with my baby. He sleeps like an angel through the the night but refuses to nap unless being held. Trying to find the right approach to help us both out!
Thought this was an interesting podcast and helpful with sleep schedule as we are now approaching the 4 month mark.
He usually goes down in his crib for bed around 9:30, sleeps until 2ish, eats, sleeps until 5ish, eats and then sleeps until around 9. He pretty consistently takes a nap around 10:30AM for an hour and half or 2 hours. Then the rest of the day are sporadic cat naps 20 minutes here and there.
Im curious as well to see if anyone has more consolidated naps patterns yet.
Ugh, but seriously, Brynlee sucks at daytime sleep. She pretty much just won't... unless she's being held. And preferably by my mom, for whatever reason.
