I keep eating salads i keep having to get meals with coworkers at this conference and salads are the only gf things on the menu that aren't loaded with the things I'm most averse to. So I'm begrudgingly eating very healthy. I now however really want a rice crispy treat. One of the real deal brick sized ones, don't give me that Keebler crap (jk id take one of those)
All the honey nut cheerios. That's what I'm craving these days, along with brown cows. I thought spaghetti sounded good last night, so I attempted to make it for dinner. I couldn't stomach the smell or look of the ground beef cooking.
I found a half an open pack of my sons organic graham crackers last night and devoured them with a glass of milk Then I went to bed with a stomach ache because I rarely eat dairy but it was sooo good.

We also had pasta last night. I could not stand the smell of the meat cooking and I really thought when I took the first bite I would gag but it was actually really tasty. I just have to get over the smell first.
All this talk about Olive Garden! DH and I got a gift card from my aunt for Christmas and we have yet to use it! You better believe we'll be going sometime soon. I'm thinking Tour of Italy. Haven't had one since I started my diet last year. Since diet is out the window, time to enjoy some lasagna, chicken parm and fettuccine Alfredo!!!! And of course those bread sticks

And today it's DONATOS!! Nothing else sounded good to me today, and DH is out of town until tomorrow so I'm indulging. I had to run an errand before lunchtime, so I placed an online order and just picked it up. Mmmm I may not make it home before I dig in. lol But then the kids will want to eat some in the car, which would be a disaster, so I will try to have self-control and wait until we get home. Adulting is hard.
The only thing that sounded good today was a baked potato, so I got a ginormous one from Jason's deli with cheese, butter, bacon bits, and chives. Yum.
Taking my grandmother to Olive Garden for mother's day lunch so I will get to indulge in some breadsticks, soup, and salad very soon! So excited!
Also I've heard that being pregnant with a boy makes you crave salty/sour things and all I want are sea-salted soft pretzels and I've already eaten 3 full trays of sour punch straws... Wanna guess what's growing in my belly?? Can't wait to find out!
@ashleaf2018 I haven't been craving candy at all, but Sour Punch Straws are delicious om nom nom. I have some feelings that baby is a boy, but this is my first pregnancy so who knows. Been wanting salty and spicey stuff lately.
Barely eating anything because it all makes me gag after a couple of bites. I had grits and andouille sausage this morning that ended with some gagging. I just ate a spoonful of peanut butter. Life is hard. All food is gross.
@Kristonita12 They sell the Rice Krispies Treat cereal at the Walmart in my area....not sure if you have one near
As with seems like most everyone else, I am all about the carbs/starches. It's the only thing that even remotely sounds edible right now. Today I've eaten oatmeal and popcorn...but I figure the first trimester is about survival so we all get a pass for not eating "healthy".
Does everyone else just love some nice, creamy, steaming hot mashed potatoes with butter and a tiny bit of salt??? Or is that just me? Seems like some days it's all I can keep down, but at least it's delicious.

I love them! Sometimes I'll even add shredded cheese to them. Yummy!

I know it is hard to eat during the first trimester but please do not take a pass for not eating healthy. This is one of the most important trimesters for us to be eating as healthy as possible. Maybe try to incorporate smoothies or juices into your day if you are finding it hard to eat healthy or fit in fruits or veggies especially greens. Also, nothing wrong with eating carbs

Well now I NEED mashed potatoes. This thread is dangerous!

I want to be all like - you don't understand MY morning sickness! Anything I can get in my mouth is a success. The struggle is maddening! But in reality I think this is not bad advice because, for me, I do have Windows where I can eat something and I won't enjoy it no matter what so why not muck down something nutrient rich. Any ways, I was planning to snark but actually sort of appreciate this reminder
I've tried to keep things balanced but I'm taking progesterone, so that does NOT help at all!!! When fast food sounds good, I go to subway and get a vehuge delight (vegetables do not sound good so throw some subway bread in there and I'm good. I've been too tired to cook so Schwan's has really helped with that.
Nothing sounds good. I basically plan my food based on what will be the most unpleasant coming back up. Today, I had a can of black olives for lunch. It was the only thing I could think about without gagging.

I'm still having serious food aversion to pretty much everything. But today I'm craving a turkey sandwich. My husband had one for lunch and I just smelled it. Like a CREEP. It smelled like heaven.

Mac and cheese from the box...but only the shapes kind. I cant stomach the elbows or shells, DH had to eat them after I couldnt. I'm also having blue corn tortilla chips and watermelon...for breakfast.
It's really bumming me out how literally nothing sounds good, and yet I'm hungry. I was doing really well eating super healthy but that's out the window the past few days. Everything seems disgusting!
@dmontgo the thought of drinking straight water is so unappetizing right now. I am drinking a juice/water mixture for now just so I can stay hydrated. I'm hoping this passes though so I can cut out all that unnecessary sugar! I was drinking lots of naturally flavored seltzer, but I think that's what caused my heartburn so I'm staying away from carbonation for a while. Wah.
Pretty much anything sounds delicious right now. Especially meats (steak=yes, chicken=yes, ground meats=Eh... Probably not) and I would kill for a BabyBel Gouda snack right now. I'm also trying to get more water in, but I just can't get over bubbly drinks (non caffeinated) and decaf coffee. So that's an issue.
