My photo is Karen Gillian as Amelia Pond with the Tardis on Doctor Who. I don't use Doctor Who references anywhere else on the internet, so I feel safely anonymous with this username.

Also, I do love Doctor Who and the Ponds are my favorite companions, with Rose Tyler a close second.

My photo is clearly a stock the Bump one, mostly because I never got around to changing it and I didnt want to change it to myself or my DD because of stranger danger.

My username felt appropriate because I'm married to a merchant marine and that whole crazy MM maritime lifestyle.

My screen name is part of the name of an album and song by Emery called In Shallow Seas We Sail. My avatar is an alternative/punk version of Ariel because it sorta kinda looks like me and I just liked it. It's kind of me as a Disney princess lol.

I'm a big fan of David Tennant because he's a fantastic actor. I like his stage and film (I liked him as the Doctor, but it's definitely not my favourite role of his!) the most but really enjoyed him in Jessica Jones, which is the origin of my screen name. He plays the villain in a Marvel universe TV show. He has the power to make people do whatever he wants, and he can make them enjoy it. He does a good bad guy.

Similar to @MissAmeliaPond, my username is a reference to Doctor Who. "Come along, Pond," was an ad-libbed line by Matt Smith (the Doctor) talking to Amy Pond (it's hilarious and cute up until the moment it shatters your heart). I nicknamed our first baby "Pond" because saying, "Come along Pond, let's go see the doctor," in my head was too awesome to pass up.

Baby A this pregnancy is also a Pond (River Song/Melody Pond), Baby B got a hasty water themed nickname when I found out he/she was in there...contemplating changing to something else to fit the theme...

My display pic is a pic my DH took of me in Vancouver standing on a rock staring out at the water. Fairly anonymous since it's only my back!

My name is my dear husband's dearly departed family dog. She was the sweetest! It's also a holdover from my time on the Knot. The numbers are my high school graduation year. My avatar is my favorite player (oh my god you guys Kris Bryant is so hot!) on my favorite team- the Cubs. I found out I was pregnant with my loss during the heart of the MLB playoffs so I wanted to pay tribute to the Cubs. This is their year, guys!!

My screen name is from middle school when a strange friend of mine decided I was trying to "destroy" him and started calling me Shiva (Hindu god). This was pre-google so I misspelled it when choosing an AIM screen name, but I stuck with it anyway. CC was my initials before getting married.

My avatar was taken when pregnant with DS so I'll probably update it one of these days.

Mine is the YMCA Indian maiden name my mom picked out for me when I was 5. I think folks (rightfully) called the whole Indian maiden thing racist, and they became the YMCA adventure maidens. The early 1980s were some different, backwards times.

My username is a line from the Beck song Hotwax. I'm a HUGE music fan and pre baby basically went to a concert every weekend. Still love music but just don't get to go to as many shows. My photo is a jello city because weird art is cool and I'm a super proud NYer who loves her city.

I've been meaning to tell you Dr. Who fans. I live walking distance from a famous Dr. Who themed bar called the Way Station. They haves a TARDIS. I've never seen Dr. Who so I don't know what that is but apparently it's a big deal? It looks like a phone booth. But I've been to the bar many times for their awesome live music and it's pretty cool.

OP, I was totally thinking of the same GTKY question just yesterday—I've been so curious about a bunch of them!

Smith is my last name, and I'm a major homebody who loves cooking, baking, knitting, crafting, and many other matronly things, so I've adopted "Granny Smith" as a fitting nickname.
My avatar is me on my wedding day. My flowers were one of my favorite parts of the wedding, so I like showin' em off!
Not a particularly "cautious" combination, I know, but I figure there's quite enough Smiths out there to make me personally quite hard to find! Also there's very little public information available about me online. Also I'm just notoriously careless.

I posted about it recently but H calls me B, so when we got engaged we joked he was Fianc-A (instead of fiance) and I was Fianc-B. Seemed like a good name for TK, then I was too lazy to change it.

Avatar is our ferret Ruxin. It was the dude dressed up in some unicorn porn getup with the words "I fart glitter", but I accidentally changed it and was too lazy to change it back. He might have to make a comeback though.

Re: the internet safety thing. The Bump has had quite a few catfishing scandals over the years and stranger danger is real, ya'll. This is a public forum, and literally anyone with an internet connection could be reading this right now. All discussions outside of private groups (i.e. any of TB's regular discussion boards, like this one) are also searchable via search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc). Just watch out for data miners and people asking for too much personal information! And try not to volunteer too much identifying personal info, either! Apparently around due date time, creeps like to come on TB and start asking for your location, your birth date, baby's birth date, and other creepy things that internet strangers have no right to know.
