  • Weeks: 6 weeks 3 days

Next milestone/appointment? Last week in May, looking forward to heartbeat on Doppler.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: we are completely public. And my m/s has started!

    Questions? -

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? Camping trip somewhere beautiful in a super nice RV.

  • Weeks: 9w2d

Next milestone/appointment? This Wed, another early u/s which should be my first (new ob appt.) but it really is my 4th! We saw and heard the heart twice so I hope everything continues to progress smoothly.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: Rant: I crossed my last mc milestone (9w) so I am pretty nervous about this upcoming u/s. Also, my first mc was at 10w5d so I probably will also be nervous for my NT scan at 11 weeks. Secobd trimester cannot come soon enough! Trying to stay positive! Rave: we shared the news with my immediate family and 2 best friends so I have a few people to be excited with me.

Questions? Anyone else eligible for the NIPT or have more info? I am finding out this week whether I can have it covered due to my last mc being caused by Turners. It would mean that we could find out the sex around 11-12 weeks...wow.

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? Oh man, that's hard, I am a travel junkie, I want to go everywhere. I would definitely hit 3-4 countries, maybe an Southeast Asia trip or spend several days in China.

  • Weeks:  6weeks 1day

Next milestone/appointment? TOMORROW Morning!  I am excited...yet I am terrified at not seeing or hearing what I want to hear or see. I am trying to stay optimistic and say that there is a lil one in there and they want to stay.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: THE BLOAT. I am so bloated..ever put on an outfit and say man bad decision. I am wearing a pencil skirt and I look like I ate a whole large pizza for breakfast! ACNE as well..is horrible.

Questions?  How about request. Ladies keep me in your thoughts tonight..maybe just a lil please let her squish say hello. Creepy internet hugs to all.

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? Seychelle islands...probably alone. Hubs hates the sun. Probably cause he is full Irish and just burns from the very sight of sun.

    Next milestone/appointment?
We have an ultrasound on Thursday. Hoping to see something, very excited but alittle nervous too.

    Rant/Rave/Anything else:
I had ms with both my boys (worse with my second) but I forgot how horrible it is! I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here but I hate feeling like I have to vomit all day...hoping it's temporary.

    Questions?
    Nada

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be?
I've always wanted to visit Maine or travel to Italy again but this time with dh.

  • Weeks:  9w4d

Next milestone/appointment? my 1st Ob/Gyn appt after the RE is on May 4th. I hope they do more than a consultation since my RE will be forwarding them all my preliminary work-up and records.

Rant/Rave/Anything else:  baby measured 1 day behind but sac was bigger and HB was strong but I'm still freaking out. RE said that 1 day is within a margin of error....and the baby was moving a little....I'm still just panicky and I know my OB won't do an U/S at every visit like the RE did so i'm just anxious.

Questions? Those of you who graduated from an RE, what was your first OB appt like? Did they just do a pap and send you on your way?

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? Tbh I'd just go to Florida to see my friends and family. Being pregnant and cranky and tired I don't feel like an exotic vacay at this time

  • Weeks: 9 weeks

Next milestone/appointment? Saw my OB this past friday, after graduating from my RE. She still has to review my file from the RE so she won't give me a set due date yet and either did my RE. Both have said I'm further along then my baby app (8w 3d) so I guess I just have to be patient until I see my OB again this Friday.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I got to see little arm and leg nubs on my ultrasound Friday, just the most perfect thing ever. I'm not sure how I'll make it through the weeks when I don't have an ultrasound every week, its been so reassuring.

    Questions?

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? I'd love to go to Scotland and Ireland, but I'd definitely settle for nice long vacation were I can disconnect and just relax in the Maldives.

    Weeks: 6 weeks 2 days

Next milestone/appointment? I have my first ultrasound a week from tomorrow!

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm excited and nervous about next week's ultrasound. I had to go earlier than scheduled for my u/s with our m/c because of my symptoms and then had one more after that, so the last two ultrasounds I had were the bearers of bad news. I'm trying to stay optimistic but my brain isn't helping!

Questions? What are you guys eating for breakfast? I have been feeling super dizzy/faint in the mornings because I think my breakfast isn't right.

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? I'd love to go back to Charleston, SC. I've only been once but it was so beautiful!

Next milestone/appointment? I have another u/s and appointment on May 19. I'm really glad my Ob is being so proactive with seeing me frequently. I <3 her.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: Symptoms have been kicking my ass the past few days. Today is going to be rough because I was at the hospital with DH almost all night last night. Long story short...he is fine, but he was having chest pains, so we erred on the side of caution and called 911. It was a long night and I'm now at work. :( Thanks for letting me rant.

    Questions? I'm good for now.

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? Bora Bora, or anywhere with those romantic over-water huts.

  • Weeks: 9w 4d

Next milestone/appointment? Next appointment is next Mon!  Hoping to hear a heartbeat on Doppler.  If all goes well, we will schedule our early risk assessment after that appointment.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I have to work 9-6 everyday this week, which is unusual and I'm not looking forward to it but hoping it makes the week go by quickly.

    Questions? None

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? I'm with @cjt121413 - Bora Bora or Tahiti in an over the water hut.  Sandals in Jamaica is actually opening some in the winter and I investigated how much they cost - $8500 per night!  And no, that's not an extra zero.
  • Weeks: 8+5 weeks

Next milestone/appointment? Last pregnancy I experienced a miscarriage, not really sure how to classify it but I didn't miscarry until 9 weeks even though baby stopped growing at 5+4 weeks. Really excited to be surpassing the 9 week mark soon, it'll definitely put me more at ease.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: Might be having to switch OB's to someone who can see me sooner since FI has a skin condition that is genetic and the only way I have heard to detect if baby has it is through a fetal skin biopsy. So worried about the implications of that and hoping to hear back from my OB soon about what our next steps will be. My current first scan is set for 11 weeks on May 20 but I am worried that it's not early enough considering my last loss and my FI's genetic condition. I really feel like an earlier appointment to discuss a plan of action for genetic screening would be more beneficial for us.

    Questions?

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? France. I would love a beach vacation but that's a no go for FI, his skin condition would make swimming in an ocean unbearably painful. We both love European history though :)
  • @queenklau - I called my insurance about the cell free DNA testing and they sent me some form saying that they cover it if it's medically necessary but don't give concrete criteria for what that means.  Assuming all goes well at my next OB appt, they will refer me to do an "early risk assessment" at one of the local hospitals, where I believe we get the NT scan and then the option of the regular blood screening vs cell free DNA.  My OBs office told us that the genetic counsellor would probably know if the insurance will cover the cell free DNA or not.  We may pay out of pocket for it if not.  But it sounds like they only send out for Trisomy 21 and 18, which isn't comprehensive enough IMO.  But we'll see I guess.

@beff12 - I have a new morning routine, because I find that I need to eat earlier and more than I used to but if I eat too much at the same time I get nauseated.  So now I get up, take my DHA (if I don't take this on an empty stomach without food I get reflux), take a shower, eat a yogurt, get dressed and finish getting ready for work, then eat again (usually a piece of fruit or a rice cake with PB or some crackers). Then of course head to work with lots of snacks.

FX for all of the appointments this week! Hope to see some good u/s pics posted :D

    Weeks:  8+5

Next milestone/appointment? Appointment tomorrow with my GP

Rant/Rave/Anything else: So, when I first found out I was PG I saw my GP and had her do betas and she though it would be nice to CC the OB that handled me through my previous mc/cp's. WELL he called me and essentially gave me heck for her sending copies to him because if anything was to happen "there's nothing he can do" and in "a normal pregnancy I don't see him until 24-28 weeks" (Canadian thing).. I was all "well excuuuse me I haven't had a normal pg so I wouldn't know"...anyway long story short his office called me today to set up an appointment for 3 weeks from now... WHAT?! I explained to the secretary I don't want to inconvenience him if he doesn't need to see me for another 20 weeks but apparently the RE referred me back to his care instead of my GP...*shrug* I'm so confused..also I just realized its past 1....and I forgot to call back to make an appointment *facepalm*

    Questions?

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? Bora Bora, Grenada, St. Lucia, Curacao, Panama, Columbia, Spain, France, Italy...anyone of those would be awesome...preferably an island. I'm going to miss our annual island trips but it'll be worth it :)

Next milestone/appointment?  I have one today. I'll be getting another US. I had one last Thursday and they think I am a few days later than 7 weeks. So we will see. Fingers crossed.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm still a nervous wreck. I lost one in August 2015 and one in February 2016. This little bean was a total surprise! Great surprise!!

    Questions? not at the moment.

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? DISNEY! Maybe a nice beach somewhere too.

  • Weeks:  7w3d

Next milestone/appointment? Second ultrasound today! At my ultrasound last week my OB had a tough time finding the baby. He said it was tucked up in a corner, but we did get a little partial look measuring 6w3d and saw what we think was the heartbeat but due to the angle was hard to really tell. I am hoping that today's appt. goes perfectly and we can clearly see our little one with a beating heart.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: Nausea coming in waves, vomited yesterday. Hoping that's a good sign.

Questions? My boobs are still not nearly as sore nor large as they were with my first. Anyone else who has breastfed previously have much less boob issues this time around?

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? We went on our dream vacation in late February to Bora Bora! Stayed in an overwater bungalow and left our 2 yr old with her grandparents. It was heaven. We had talked about going since high school 17+ years ago.

  • @penelope4612 @abrandt31 English muffins are so good! I've found bagels with cream cheese are good too. Morning sickness is the absolute worst.

I've eaten a stupid number of English muffins with peanut butter in the past few weeks.  I wake up so freaking hungry and nauseated and they seem to help.  And go figure, I can't stomach eggs for breakfast but I've been obsessed with them for dinner.

  • *Just leaving a reply on my previous thread so there's not so much of a disconnect*

Talked to my OB and she said the US date will remain the same but we will do as much testing as we can and just through that testing and her talking to us, she will determine the need for a genetic counselor and I may end up getting transferred to a specialized OB 2 hours away. Of course I am hoping this doesn't happen, but whatever the little nugget and I need for a safe, healthy pregnancy, we will make happen. May 20th can't come fast enough!
  • @ashleaf2018 I'm glad you're getting some answers from your OB!
  • @R0824H, I am sorry your ob is being difficult. You would think they would be a little more sensitive due to our PGAL situation. But It sounds like everything is going great. I bet they realized how insensitive they were being so they called to schedule an earlier appt. good luck!

So I feel like I should reintroduce myself...my name is Linda, 28 and DH is significantly older than I am. This is my second pregnancy, I had a blighted ovum in September. I actually completely gave up on this pregnancy on 4/22 when an ultrasound didn't show anything. I had been having spotting and some cramping, but nothing significant since then. I had an appt with my OB today and an ultrasound. I was in disbelief when we saw a gestational sac and yolk and little tiny bean, but the pregnancy is very, very low in the uterus, practically on the cervix...so now we wait and see. Hopefully, I get to stay around with you all!

    Weeks:
5w 6d (a whole week behind my original dates)

Next milestone/appointment? Next Monday 5/9. I repeat my ultrasound to monitor the directional growth of the baby. If he grows up into the uterus, great! If he grows down into the cervix...I'll be very sad again.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I hate Limbo!!! My DH is much more composed than I can ever be. From here on out (hopefully) we'll have weekly ultrasounds to check the growth. A week is going to feel like forever!

Questions? Has anybody had any experience with low interuterine pregnancies? Good or bad outcomes? Any insight into a positive or negative future is welcomes.

GTKY: If money was no option where would your next vacation be? I think I would love to travel through Italy! It looks so beautiful and romantic! @mimi603107 I live in Maine, and I'm a fan! It's lovely here, definitely a different feel than other areas of the country!

ugh I had a scary day today :/ Noticed a bright red gush of blood when I went to the bathroom so I went downstairs to the Emerg Department to get checked out. Bedside U/S done by the ER physician showed a fast strong heartbeat and he said since I was not cramping that there was no need to worry. No mention of an SCH. The bleeding has faded now to brown which is a good sign I think. And my GP didn't seem too worried when she heard that a heartbeat was seen. I know I should be relieved but I have so much anxiety about it all. I've been given 2 days off to rest and relax, so FX this was just a random fluke.

ugh I had a scary day today :/ Noticed a bright red gush of blood when I went to the bathroom so I went downstairs to the Emerg Department to get checked out.
So scary! I'm so sorry that this happened. FX it was a random occurrence and everything is good.
