Because I'm tired and want to vent. Let it out, ladies!
We've gotten to the point with LO's sleep fights that it was time to sleep train. I decided on the Pick Up Put Down method because it seemed gentler to me since even though they cry, I pick him up when he starts crying and calm him down each time, then put him down when the tears have stopped so he can figure out how to put himself to sleep. I've explained how to do this with my husband and made it clear that if LO is just fussing and moaning that it's okay to leave him - crying is when he gets picked up. It is a trying process on me and it takes longer to get him down right now but in the long run, LO will get better at putting himself down without tears. (He's actually already getting better in the 3 days we've done it).
Zeke woke early from a nap today and was clearly exhausted so I decided to do PUPD to get him back to sleep. I got Zeke down and went to lay down myself. A few minutes later, Zeke started moaning. DH decided to take it on himself to "help" .... By taking Zeke out of his room and playing with him. So now I have an overtired baby who probably won't go back to sleep now and will be a monster to try to get to sleep tonight.
Re: Stabby Sunday
Rant over. She'll sleep when she sleeps, I guess.
