I when to the bathroom this morning, and what I clean myself it was like a was just going to start my period. Iam very concern and scare. Did I have to go to emergency right now?
No. I think it's something like 3 pads in an hour then go. Does your doctor have an after hours line you can call or leave a message that's what I would do. Sorry, I know bleeding can be scary.
I would put in a call to your doctors office after hours line. They'll tell you want they want you to do. In the meantime Put your feet up and drink some water. Take it easy today.
This happened to me yesterday. I'm so sorry it's happening to you, I was petrified.
I went to the bathroom and found my underwear covered in blood and I freaked out. I have never had any spotting before. I left work immediately and drove to the emergency room. I was panicking. My DH works nights and was sleeping at home and I didn't want to wake him until I KNEW something was wrong, and the hospital is 45 minutes from home so I knew he wouldn't get there anyway.
I was sobbing as I got to the ER and a very sweet nurse took me back and prepped me for a bedside US and a pelvic exam. A very kind Doctor explained what could be happening (I knew, obviously) and told me what he was going to do. First, check on baby, second check my cervix for dilation.
Thankfully, as soon as he put the probe on my belly we saw my babe dancing, swinging their arms and bouncing all around. What a sweet relief! Then, he looked at my cervix, which was thankfully closed, but bleeding at the Os.
I have a repeat US on Monday to see where my placenta is and/or if there is anything more concerning (SCH, previa, etc.).
The ED doc consulted with GYN and they told me that I can always come to my clinic without an appointment to Doppler and/or bedside US my baby for concerning situations like this. Had I been in my right mind, That would have definitely been the more rational (and cheaper) choice for me yesterday, but I needed reassurance and answers and I think I went exactly where I needed to go for.
they did say that I shouldn't be too concerned unless bleeding is very heavy (>1 pad per hour) or accompanied by severe pain.
Finding that blood yesterday was one of the scariest experiences of my life, I do hope and pray that your experience is similar and that baby and you are healthy and thriving despite this scary thing!
Sorry to take over with such a long post, but I was literally just there and I hope it brings you some comfort.
Honestly, the ER won't do much for you unless you are bleeding very heavily (>1 pad/hr). They'll do an ultrasound, diagnose you with a "threatened miscarriage" and send you home. It would be better to just stay in contact with your OB. If it is a miscarriage, unfortunately there isn't anything they can do, but if it's bleeding from an SCH or something then they may put you on bedrest. The bleeding can be a concern, so again if you are bleeding very heavily, feel dizzy and/or your heart is weak and racing, definitely go in.
I'm sorry this is happening. Sometimes heavy bleeding can happen and it can still be nothing but it's always really scary.

I'm so sorry I've been through a missed miscarriage and I know it's really confusing and angering to find out you haven't really been carrying around a baby. Will be thinking of you.
