Re: Beta testing week of May 1st-14th

  • @gatorlorit they actually took the blood test morning of my transfer and then I did the transfer and a few hours they called me with the blood results and that's when I found about that I need PIO.

@MelD17011 I've been very tired this last week but I'm thinking it most likely is due to the progesterone meds. I fall asleep ridiculously early but then I wake up in the middle of the night and have a hard time falling back asleep some nights. I've had a couple days where I've felt a little nauseous but it comes and goes quickly. I go in for my first beta tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

  • @mrshegs good luck on beta let us know how it goes. I have been debating all weekend to take a test. So tired today been sleeping a lot and also feeling nauseous but that could be the meds. Only 4 more days

  • @Joyzie77 how many days post transfer was your beta?

  • @MelD17011 I guess the bloodwork they did at 7 days post transfer wasn't considered my Beta but they did find that my HCG was 63 and told me I was pregnant. My actual Beta is this Friday. Hoping my numbers double so I can be less worried. That's how they did it last time too although they didn't retest me in a week. Maybe the bloodwork at 7 days is really to look at the other levels because they did increase my estrogen patches to 2 patches every 3 days instead of one.
  • Good luck today @mrshegs ! Keep us posted. Fingers crossed!
  • @MelD17011 We did the PGS testing as well. Did you decide to know the sex or keep it a surprise?

@lin681 I had diarrhea a couple days. Wasn't sure if it was something I ate or the meds or what the deal was.

  • Well today was negative IUI#5. 2nd Combination cycle of fermera/gonal f/trigger hot   We have 1 more iui the doctors are willing to do before ivf. My husband and I are going to discuss our options. Either do this last round pray it works or maybe take a break and lose the weight the doctors want to be able to qualify for ivf. Most likely one round of ivf will depleat all our insurance coverage and then we'd have to pay out of pocket. Im leaning toward the last iui.  I have a message in for me to speak with a provider to see what we can do to maximize the last round before ivf to help make our decision.

  • @mrshegs- I'm so sorry to hear that. You are on my thoughts and prayers

@tiffavis12- I'm so sorry to hear the IUI wasn't successful. Hope that the doctor provides guidance and a clear path as to what's best for your family!

Afm- I've felt vaguely nauseous all day, but it got really bad after dinner. I wound up throwing up. Is it weird that I'm Sort of excited to be throwing up?! Also, our fur babies totally know something is up. DH is on a grocery run, and Molly won't leave my side. Cole, my cat, is standing guard on the other end. • Hi ladies – I started a new thread on this, but thought I’d ask here as well…... what day did you get a BFP from a HPT? I took one yesterday 6dp5dt and was negative. I decided to take another test this morning. At first I didn't see anything.... went back later to throw it out and has a very faint line.

  • I would also ask this on either the first trimester board and/or success after IF.....fingers crossed!
  • So just freaked out went to bathroom wiped and had a dark brown discharge. Called IVF nurse cried on phone to her. She said it could be a good sign as long as it's not bright red. I'm still not at ease until Thursday once bloodwork is done. Anyone have this happen?
  • @MelD17011 I got a faint line 5 days after my FET. Since then the lines have been darker.

@ultratomato I have not had this happen, still waiting for my beta day, but after following previous IVF boards I have read about similar things occuring pretty often. My fingers are crossed and lots of positive energy your way!!

I am feeling very conflicted right now. I don't want to know if it worked, but I do. Everything is a sign it has worked, and everything is a sign it has not worked. back to napping!

@laur1212 - It depends on the concentration level of HGC that the test you're using can detect (aka how sensitive the test is).  ETA - Sorry, just re-read your post, you were just asking if anyone else is a compulsive early tester... which I totally am...

Here is the accuracy for FRERs (sensitivity isn't published by ClearBlue, but external lab research has determined FRERs detect ~6-7 mUI/ml):

    By comparison, Wondfo's sensitivity are 25 mUI/ml.

    Me (31) & DH (31) - married 2008; TTC since 2013

  • @laur1212 you're definitely not alone!! I don't start to get really antsy until about 10 dpo. Like every cycle, I'm telling myself I won't test early this time around and since I don't have any HPTs at home, I'm hoping I can hold off ordering more until 2 days before I'm supposed to test. I'm not even planning on testing out the trigger shot this time! (We'll see.)

  • I tested first on the Wondofo then the FRER. They both showed a faint line at 5 days. I did test to see if they are getting darker because I'm a conpulsive tester as well.
