Re: Weekly Check In 4/29
How far along are you? EDD? 7 weeks - 12/15.
How are you feeling? I keep having on and off light brown spotting which had me bawling at first but now I'm kind of over it because I've read how common it is and that I can't do anything about it anyway. I had my bloodwork done this week and had HGC levels of over 20,000 so that was really good. I will feel much better after our U/S 5/9.
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? Waaay to early
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) see above.
Rants/Raves/Questions: We are moving in three weeks and I keep foraging boxes from work. I am sick of moving, we have moved 4x in as many years. But this time we are settling into what I hope is our forever home. We are two hours away from the closest family so it will be a little tough with our growing family, but we are very independent and so we should be okay.
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?) I have always faced my fears, I am claustrophobic but still tried SCUBA (certified!) and I was really scared to skydive but did that. I have even tried (and spit out) octopus. I think it's good to put yourself out there. I will probably be a lot more careful now that I will have a little one to take care of.

feeling good this week, up every hour at nite needing to 'rotisserie' my body and then if I don't get up to pee, I just think about it, so I'm up every hour, good times. No matter what people say 'it's not preparing me for baby!'
Baby girl is breech so a lot of heavy, shocking sometimes painful kicks down below.
have my non stress test this afternoon, first week of 2 appts almost done. Then only FIVE more weeks, shit is getting real! I'm just obsessing over all time with my son, I know people have 2 kids all the time, but my biggest fear is his awesome personality will change or he'll feel like he's getting screwed without all our attention. Makes me sad.
i wish I wasn't afraid of heights is love to try sky diving, but just looking out the window on a plane sends my heart rate through the roof!
@Wyattnash00 It's only natural what you're feeling about your son, but everyone I know who has two kids said that in the end, becoming a big sibling allowed the older one to blossom in new and wonderful and unexpected ways. Even if there is a rocky transition, I'm sure you'll navigate through it and he will be absolutely amazing!
How far along are you? EDD? 34w3d, due June 7th.
How are you feeling? Pregnant!!! Altogether I feel pretty good, but definitely starting to notice my large belly getting in the way of everything I need to do. A little hip pain when sleeping has been creeping in the past few nights. My DH suggested going for a hike (like, up a big mountain like we usually do) this weekend and I was like "Sure - I'll give it my best!" but I'm honestly a little scared as walking on flat ground has been challenging enough recently. I like the challenge though, so I may take him up on it
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? YES! Almost all the activity seems to be in the right upper quadrant. He squirms and rolls a lot more now compared with prominent kicks a few weeks ago, which is due to running out of space I assume. Sometimes I feel a great big push and a big bulge comes out the upper left, which I think is his butt, and then the kicks are over on the upper right. It's fun to speculate on what I think his position is. I'll be curious to ask my OB if she can determine position at my next appointment. Dunno if they do a quick ultrasound at some point to confirm he's head-down.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Appointment next Wednesday, then weekly ones should start soon!
Rants/Raves/Questions: Everything is making me cry (in a good way!) right now. It's starting to hit me that I'm in the home stretch. I can't believe how far I've come.
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?) I love this question! I'm pretty bold when it comes to doing things physically (weird foods, outdoor activities, etc.) but I'm a shy and guarded person so my answer here would have to be social/emotional rather than physical. I want to challenge myself to reach out more to the people I love, forge stronger relationships, speak my mind more freely, express my emotions, reach out for help if and when I need it. Honestly, allowing myself to fall in love, settle down, and start a family are among the most challenging things I've ever done. It's hard to let go of the desire to shield yourself from loss and pain.

welcome @leksiL! We must have posted at the same time as I didn't see yours this am:)
@redheadbride15If you need some assistance in the meeting people department, let me know. I am a wicked extrovert... I embarrass a lot of my more introverted friends because I will literally talk to just about anybody I meet... provided I am not in a foul mood. That having been said, I am not always so good about having emotionally exposing conversations with people and I really dislike confrontation (see my "How are you feeling" for an example). Sometimes, I can be blunt because I get anxious and just blurt things out! Good luck!
@Wyattnash00 Ooooh the bladder dance! It sounds cute when I type it... probably not so much when it's actually happening...
I recommend you try sky diving. I did it. Once. I am glad I did it, but I am also glad I never have to do it again. It was quite a thrill and the view was amazing!
I so look forward to these updates! I love hearing how everyone is doing and reading the answers to the big questions at the end of each post!
How far along are you? EDD? 30w2d July 6th
How are you feeling? Super emotional, ready to leave my job and have the baby but we still have 2 months! Also, my Dad has been having some emotional and physical health trouble which he insists in taking out on my mom and sisters (yelling, name calling, blowing up at them). I love my Dad but this is something I don't want to expose my kid to. My mom, sisters and DH and I agree he needs to be spoken to and also needs to seek some outside help/work less. I am going to have to talk to him and am having some anxiety about it. I heard him completely lose it on my mom yesterday for no reason. He's always been an emotional, temperamental guy but this is too much. I am very sad thinking about the conversation DH and I will have to have with him but my Dad's health is suffering, and the verbal abuse is not fair to those around him. It's bringing up a lot of emotional crap for me.
Thanks for letting me air that out here.
Other than that, I feel great and am looking forward to a girl's weekend in VT starting after work today!
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? I LOVE feeling baby kicks and I feel her moving almost all the time. She seems to be a very active baby! Sometimes she kicks or punches and I will feel them all over, almost as if she is spinning or swimming around in there. Mostly she seems to enjoy pressing her back and butt into the space right behind or on either side of my belly button. My belly will bulge out as she pushes against my backbone and stretches herself out... at least, I think that's what's happening in there. It's marvelous!
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) No big news as of yet and no big appointments. My next drs appt is in a couple of weeks and then after that I will go biweekly/weekly.
Rants/Raves/Questions: A Rave today! If any of you can schedule and financially swing a prenatal massage... DO IT. I had one on Wednesday and it was glorious! I ended up paying about $80 (including tip) for an hour of bliss. Make sure you drink plenty of water afterwards tho! I always make the mistake of not drinking enough and the next day I am very sore... it happened this time too. I knew it was going to happen and I STILL didn't drink enough! It was worth it for the relaxation of the massage. I will absolutely book another one before I have the baby.
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?) I want to take singing lessons. I have a sonorous, robust, booming speaking voice. I was that kid in school who always got blamed for talking even when all the other kids were talking because my voice carries and it is the "voice the teachers hear." I have been told that I can carry a tune but I'd really love to learn how to properly sing, supporting my voice from the diaphragm. I get wicked performance anxiety tho and have always felt really exposed and embarrassed when caught singing.
Oh and good luck talking to your dad... that's a tough situation.

@lillebowski23 -- I'm sorry to hear about the situation you're dealing with with your Dad. I hope the discussion goes as well as possible. Good for you for being willing to talk with him, though. It sounds really necessary, even though it may well be unpleasant...
@wyattnash00 -- I have moments of panic about what a sibling will do to my kiddo too. But then I remember how much I love my little brother and I am so excited that he will have a little sister to love. I'm sure there will be adjustments and there will undoubtedly be fights. But I like to remember that our love doesn't get divided--it gets multiplied. And I'm sure that will be the case for him too. It's going to be an adventure, for sure!
How far along are you? EDD? 20w 4d Due 9/12
How are you feeling? I'm feeling good! I am definitely having to "rotisserie" myself in bed a lot (thanks for the term, @Wyattnash00 -- it's just right!) and getting some sore hips, but it's okay. I'm also starting to feel winded after normal activities like stair climbing and/or carrying my son (kudos to you for being up for trying a real hike, @redheadbride15 !) I can tell we're entering that "really getting big" phase of pregnancy. I love that phase, but it does come at a price.
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? I do! I mostly feel them on the sides of my belly--often the right side. I think this is because of my anterior placenta (which looked frickin' huge on the U/S!). I also feel rolling--just feels like a lot of pressure right now, but when she's bigger, that's going to be some fun "alien" movement to watch. I don't feel her all the time yet, but she's still little. Excited for when I get to feel her more often.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) We have our follow-up echocardiogram on 5/9. Just 10 days or so to go.
Rants/Raves/Questions: My rave is about all of the support we have gotten here, from in-person friends, and from friends-of-friends since we found out about the concerns the doctors noticed at our anatomy scan. It has been so encouraging and heart-warming. I've been praying a ton for our gal, and I know others have too, both near and far. I can honestly say that, right now, I have a real peace about the situation. I feel concerned, of course, but I don't feel anxious. I feel confident that God's got this and I am praying fervently that she will just be completely healthy and it's been wonderful to hear stories of that being the case. Waiting for 5/9 feels totally do-able. I'm having fun thinking about names and starting to look at clothes, etc. It's been good. We're not in denial about the possibilities, but both my DH and I are super hopeful. The support here has been a big part of that--thank you! (Also--my current front-runner for a name is Willa. It means "resolute protector," which I love. And it's soft without being too soft, I think. Our last name has lots and lots of hard sounds -- "Ks" and long "Es" -- so I want a first name that doesn't have any hard consonants. Anyway. I'm open to feedback. DH is currently mulling it over).
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?) I desperately want to learn to play stringed instruments! I own a guitar, banjo, mandolin, and ukulele and cannot play any of them! It turns out, I'm not one of those folks who can "self-teach" on this particular skill. I can do that with a lot of other things, but not this. I need to get the guts (and finances) together to actually take lessons. I kind of envision doing that with my kids someday--mommy and me guitar lessons sound fun, right?
good for for you going for that hike @redheadbride15! I did a 2 mile hike last week, it was tough. I used to run that, ugh, had to stop many times to catch my breath. But hey, still moving right

Welcome @leksiL! And, hi to everyone else! I feel like I just can't find the time to get on here enough these days...
How far along are you? EDD? 23w Aug 28
How are you feeling? good overall; I can always complain
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? Yes!! I am now consistently feeling kicks throughout the day. They're still pretty chill considering I have an anterior placenta, but baby's definitely a mover b/c I'm feeling a ton nonetheless. mostly feeling the kicks in the center of my belly. Sometimes on the right side and occasionally down low. It still feels mostly like a rolling/fish flopping sensation, but I have started to feel them from the exterior too. Now if I can only get baby to cooperate and give a kick when DP's hand is on my belly. Haven't been able to orchestrate that one yet...
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Just hanging tight until my regular midwife appt. in a week and a half.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
So many people in my life have had babies in the past couple of weeks which, coupled with feeling baby move so much more and my growing belly, is starting to make this whole thing feel awfully real all of the sudden. I think b/c of PGAL brain, I've felt pretty disconnected for most of this pregnancy, but it's finally sinking in. It's making me increasingly excited (e.g., I'm all about researching baby names) and increasingly stressed about how adding another little human is going to impact our lives. Trying to take it one day at a time, enjoy the one-on-one time I have with DS and what will be my last ever pregnancy. Also, had a really good, long sob the other night which felt very cathartic. I guess I really needed the release.
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?)
Mine is kind of similar to @lillebowski23. I used to sing in choirs, take voice lessons, etc. when I was a kid and fell out of it during high school. I still love to belt a tune and would really love to get up the courage to do an open mic night or something along those lines. I'm not a shy person, and I do a fair amount of public speaking related to my job, but there's something about singing in front of people that requires a kind of vulnerability that is terrifying. If I'm being totally honest, I think I've never fully given up my childhood dream of being a rock star
How are you feeling? I'm feeling good. Belly is definitely getting bigger but is still at a manageable size. I'm still able to climb the fabric but not sure how long that will last.
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? Yes - finally! It was hit or miss for awhile, which was sooooo worrisome. But I'm feeling some solid kicks pretty much every day now. He tends to do most of the kicking on my left side. I love it when he kicks my belly button as that's the most sensitive area and I can actually see the skin move a bit. I went to a show last night and when everyone was cheering and applauding he started kicking up a storm. It was so much fun.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) We had our first appointment with the new midwife team yesterday. My clinic offers care by both OBs and midwives and DH and I decided to switch to the midwives. They work in a team so you meet all 7 throughout your visits (a different one each time, not all 7 at once) and that way you know them since you don't know who will be on call the day/night you deliver. I absolutely loved the one we met yesterday! I'm feeling really good about our decision to switch. The gestational diabetes test got moved back until I'm 28 weeks based on the protocol the midwives follow.
Rants/Raves/Questions: My rant is once again about boob issues. I know I've ranted about this many times before but it really is one of the struggles of my pregnancy. I wonder if having PCOS makes things more intense since I didn't ovulate much and my body never really got used to high/consistent levels of progesterone during my pre-pregnancy life. Part of me feels like I'm now going through a second puberty or something!!! Anyway, I'm embarrassed to admit how many bras I've bought (and returned) and how much my quest for a comfortable bra has consumed my life. I mostly live in sports bras now (like others, such as @CarrieandRoy) but there are times that a sports bra just doesn't cut it.
I got properly measured at a maternity store back in March and was told that I was a 34DD! I started off as a 34B/C so this was totally unexpected! I ended up buying an expensive Pea in the Pod nursing bra that seemed to fit perfectly in the changing room but after wearing it several times, I simply hate it. It has underwires and when I sit down my belly pushes upwards and leaves big marks from the wires :-( I can't return it either because on the ride home from the store it fell out of its bag and landed on something on the floor of the car and got a big stain on it. This is just my luck (but I'm hoping I'll feel more comfortable in this bra after baby arrives and my belly shrinks back?).
Anyway, last night I was going to a show with friends and wanted so much to wear one of my nice maternity dresses but didn't want to wear any of my racerback sports bras with it. So I went out on a mission for a comfortable bra, once again. I went to yet another maternity store and got the woman there to measure me. She said I was a 36C, which just didn't seem right. I was pretty sure I was still around 34DD or so since that other bra fit, I was just having problems with the wires. I should've been more pushy/demanding and just asked to try on wire-free bras in the 34DD size but this woman INSISTED I was NOT that size and I was like, "well, she's the expert so I should listen to her." She gave me 36C, 38C, and 36D to try on and none of them fit. I ended up buying a sports bra style bra that had regular straps (so wouldn't show with my dress) but wasn't very supportive and was kind of itchy. I was so frustrated (mostly by this woman's attitude) and it's funny how these experiences practically bring me to tears when really it's not that big of a deal (the hormones are a real thing). I then remembered a friend telling me about a local birth and wellness boutique that had really great nursing bras so I decided to go there. I basically told the woman that I needed all the help I could get. She asked if I wanted her to come into the changing room and adjust the straps and see the bra on me and I was like, "YES!! PLEASE!" She measured me again and said I was around 32/34E! Um, how could 2 different stores come up with such drastically different sizes on the same day? They both measured the same number across my breasts, but the first measured 34 inches under the breasts, whereas the second measured 31. And this was only 2 hours apart! I doubt I shrunk 3 inches in a 2-hour span. Anyway, this woman seemed way more experienced and so incredibly helpful (snapping and tugging at my bra in the changing room). They had some really great styles I hadn't seen in any of the maternity stores and I ended up falling in love with a soft cup one that supposedly grows with you (has a nice elastic band, lots of clasps for different sizes, stretchy material for the cups, etc.). It was $60 but at that point I didn't care. It fit perfectly under my nice dress and it was the first time in awhile that my boobs felt supported and didn't hurt. In fact, it felt like I was wearing nothing at all, but in a good way. So I guess this long story ended up as a rave in the end. I honestly never expected my boobs to be one of my biggest struggles but they are a force to be reckoned with!
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?) I'm with @redheadbride15 in that I'm usually open for anything physical and daring but the whole settling part (as much as I've always wanted it) has been a challenge. Sometimes I miss my wild freedom, such as going backpacking by myself for days on end, meeting new people, going skinning dipping in the middle of the night, etc. But then I feel my baby kick and realize that this new chapter of my life will be exciting in all new ways.

How are you feeling? Feeling good these days, only mild nausea and feeling tired all the time still.
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? Still too early
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I had a tieter done since I was diagnosed with RH Disease for the Big E antigen, but the test came back as too weak to measure. So now they are thinking its possible I got a false positive initially or the baby does not have Big E in its blood. Either way I'm happy for the moment because it means at this time there is nothing to worry about. Ill get another tieter in abort 2 weeks to check again.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I think I need to start working out again next week :-( Boo! BUt since Im not so sick any more I don't have a good excuse not to. Sigh...
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?) Karaoke, I always think it will be so much fun but then totally chicken out.
@Sporty1216 I love Willa! I think it's absolutely perfect! And may 9th will be here so fast. Grow baby girl grow!
@redheadbride15 you are a rock star for saying yes to the hike!
@wyattnash00 enjoy your last few weeks with your oldest LO!!! Exciting and bittersweet is totally the way many new adventures begin.
@lillebowski23 oh man that is rough! Family dynamics are so hard to break through, we all get so set in out ways. Dont be afraid to bring in outside help if you need it, I swear sometimes we treat our family members so poorly and we'd never do that to a stranger. Good luck we are here if you need us!!
@mamafesto i'd come see your rock show
welcome to the "geriatric mama's club" @leksiL!!
EDD: sept 6-10ish (I'm trying to keep the date loose in my mind so i don't get attached to my "due date")
Feeling: This has been the first week where I am starting to have a hard time breathing and feeling constricted when I'm sitting down. I've had some tired moments this week. Some pregsomnia but the last few days have better.
Kicks: The past couple days I've felt some consistant kicks! He had his feet by my bladder which is where I have felt the kicks the most. But now he flipped again and is using my bladder as a pillow. Either my uterus sits to the left or baby really likes the left side, it feels so lopsided down there.
News: no news, just a midwife appointment in about 2 weeks.
GTKY: As always I love everyone's answers!
I started learning how to surf when I lived in portugal and I surfed for about 4 years after that. Just at the point where I was getting a lot better I gave it up for some reason I can't remember. I was always SO afraid of the big waves and getting dumped ass over head into the water. I've taken up boogie boarding instead and it's so much easier, but I have always wanted to be a legit surfer.
How far along are you? EDD?
37 weeks...due Friday, May 20th
How are you feeling?
Feeling tired yet I can't seem to sleep more than 5 hours a night- so frustrating! It's not every night but it's really starting to affect my moods and brain function. I can't seem to think straight anymore. Other than that I'm just trucking along looking for any signs that I might go into labor on my own within the next three weeks so I can avoid an induction.
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them?
I feel like I have a horse in there kicking the crap out of my ribs...I admit that I enjoy it
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
My next appointment is Tuesday so I will get checked again (I am barely 1cm and 25% effaced now) and get another NST. I think the OB will wait to 39 weeks to strip my membranes.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
Is it weird that I'm a little depressed that my pregnancy will be over soon?? It still seems unreal that there is a baby in there I guess. I know in a few weeks I will be desperate to get this over with but for now I'm just content to have her all to myself...and she is much easier to take care of while on the inside!!!
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?)
I would love to learn how to scuba dive. I don't know anyone IRL that does it but they offer a class at the local college so I may give it a try if I'm ever brave enough.
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Sometimes it's hard to get comfortable, but not too bad.
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? Like crazy. I usually feel kicks on both sides -- feet and hands, maybe? And lots of wriggling. She's much higher now. Sometimes I see a shape like an orange above and to the side of my belly button. It's crazy how visible her movements are. It looks like an alien is trying to come out of my belly.
Any baby news? Still waiting for appt on May 11th
Rant: I hate that we've hit tough financial times right before having a baby. Mostly for the obvious reasons -- bills to pay, a new person to be responsible for. But also for the frivolous things. Under ordinary circumstances, I would get a pre-natal massage, a pedicure (my feet are getting harder to reach comfortably), and I'd decorate the nursery and buy fun baby things. The new washer, dryer and air conditioner are nice, though. And work has picked up a bit for now.
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? Someday I would like to attempt to make a living as a fine artist. But it scares me.
@jilligan14 I got a few of these bras ($25 each) at 10 weeks and I still like them at 27 weeks. I may need to get a bra extender at some point. We'll see. https://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=98422Z10361&MasterCategory_Id=MC29

How are you feeling?
Doing ok. I just bought a belly belt which has helped with some of the pain I was having.
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them?
Kicks? Forget kicks this one is doing Zumba class on my pubic bone.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
i have my monthly check up next week. Getting nervous about getting on the scale. We do my BP before I go on the scale.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?)
i I wanted to do a cooking class but I burn myself just making mac n cheese. And I'm always afraid they will make something I hate.
@createillumination I'll have to check out that nursing tank. Unfortunately I can't seem to handle any underwires at all, my belly just pushes right up into them. But who knows how I'll feel once baby is here and the bump shrinks? Right now my boobs kind of rest on my belly. It's pretty funny.
@CarrieandRoy I'm wondering if that's the bra I bought from the maternity store the other day (before I bought the more expensive one). It doesn't feel as supportive for me but maybe I should give it another try. It definitely is a more cheaper option! I honestly only need one good bra because I wear sports bras most of the time but like a nice bra for going out and when I'm not teaching/working out. I got some bra extenders on Amazon (they are super cheap!) and it did help me get some more life out of my older bras, although I can't seem to wear anything from my pre-pregnant wardrobe anymore. That's exciting about seeing the baby from the outside! I still haven't seen much movement from the outside, except for the occasional belly button pulse.
What do you guys think of the name Oscar? DH and I were watching something the other night and the baby's name was Oscar. We both kind of liked it but we're still not completely sure. We also like August and Jack.

Yeah, I think that's why I bought that one underwire bra - my boobs look really great in it! But ugh, when I sit down it's soooo painful! Also, when I get up in the morning my boobs actually stick to my belly (before I put on a bra). It's getting worse now that it's getting hot here. I think it's time to start sleeping in a sleep bra too.

and, @redheadbride15 -- I like all of those names! I think Oscar and August are my favorites. I knew a baby named August and they called him Augie. It was adorable.

How are you feeling? Pretty good. A little heartburn this week. Could be from a little bit of junk food I've enjoyed though...
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? I'm feeling movement, but not many kicks. Last night I did feel a nice kick though. It was central and upwards, a little under my navel.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) still waiting for my 5/12 a/s
Rants/Raves/Questions: a bit of a rant. I've always been ok with DH going away for a weekend and me having time to myself. He's planning a couple of 2night backpacking trips this summer between my 29-35th week though and I'm not thrilled about it. I think mostly since he'll be unreachable. He could rent a satellite phone, but it's expensive (~$150) and I'm not sure if that's worth it for just a couple of nights. Things happen though and aside from him not being with me, I hate to think about him not even knowing.

Negotiate a raise. It makes me so nervous to talk about pay/benefits during my reviews. I get brave enough to bring it up, but have always just taken what is offered.
I really like the name Oscar.
How far along are you? EDD? 22w 5d, EDD 8/29/16
How are you feeling? Just tired, still. Heartburn is better with twice daily Pepcid. Hips were AWFUL last night in bed. I'm hoping it's a one time thing because with chiropractic, I've actually gotten to sleeping for 2-3 hour blocks before having to flip to the other side. Last night, I was awake every 40-60 minutes.
Do you feel baby kicks? Where do you feel them? Lots and lots of kicks. I wasn't feeling a ton on the left (baby boy's side), but the ultrasound tech last week told me he's facing the center so I probably feel him more in the middle. During the scan, she kept saying "do you feel that?" We figured out that he's actually kicking the membrane between the babies a lot, so I don't feel it. The little girl though - she's partying it up in there all the time. I feel her up high (kicks) and down low (head butts and punches).
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Finishing up baby boy's echocardiogram this week as well as growth scans for both. I want to talk to the perinatologist about cervical length. Mine is still fine, but it's decreased by 0.6cm in 3 weeks. It just makes me nervous.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Maybe a bit of a rant. I hate this time of pregnancy. Starting this week, the babies are "viable." I'm so scared until about 28 weeks, which I see as the lowest gestational age I'd want to have these babies -- and I'd still prefer NOT to.
GTKY: What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid to? (Food, a class, a hobby, a sport?) Hmm. Like others, I pretty much try things when I want to. I'd love to learn to surf (sorry to steal the idea), but I'm not sure I have the body type or the balance to do it. I'd also LOVE to go skydiving someday, but now that I have a kiddo and two more on the way, I'm less likely to try things I could die doing.

the fluffy blanket idea is genius. I'm gonna have to try that. The problem is that half the time I end up sleeping in my kiddo's bed with him, so even if I get an awesome set up figured out, I usually have to leave it for the last few hours of the night.
