Poop stains

How do you Mom's clean poop stains? DD into scooting around and by doing this her poops are going all up her back and sometimes on thighs and onto clothing. We're pretty good for at least one outfit change daily because of it. I've been soaking the dirty clothes in a basin of water for a bit before washing it and haven't had any issue with stains except for one white outfit. Any suggestions?

I've been doing the same, I've tried tide stain sticks but if you read the fine print you have to get the stains immediately before they set so they don't really help with stains that are already there, I'd love to hear suggestions too... Also does anyone else suddenly have laundry room envy? Lol I feel so old...

Ive used resolve and it works well. I also use oxy clean (they do have a baby kind if you feel more comfortable with that) and that does wonders. Just give the clothes a little rinse and sprinkle oxy clean on it and let it sit. I use this on all our laundry. Seriously cant live w/out it.

Im not gonna lie, sometimes for the stains that are on his white onesies, I straight up use Clorox clean up. Nothing works better then that lol.

Also- if your baby has sensitive skin and you don't want to use anything harsh, my mom swears by ivory soap. I've never tried it to remove stains because my kids have been fine with anything I use, but she says that's what she used. She just lathers the clothes up with the soap and lets them sit. She swore by it!

The same as these ladies. If its a big blowout & it gets all over their clothes I'll soak it in hot water with my detergent(Gain) & let it sit for 10 min then i scrub it & throw it in the wash. If it's just a little bit i just scrub detergent & hot water instead of soaking it. With their white clothes i put clorox on the spot that has the poop stain (not the whole clothing) & scrub it under hot water.

I use spray n wash and put it in with our regular clothes and detergent. If it comes clean I toss it back in with a load of her things so I can wash it in Dreft.

Same. Spray n wash has saved some of his cutest outfits from food stains, puke/spit up and poop slides. LOL I spray it immediately. Soak in cool water and hand wash it. Then when it's out clean it as usual in our free and clear laundry soap.

If I have a stubborn stain, I just let it dry in the sun, making sure the stain is in direct sunlight. I cloth diaper too and we don't have any stains on any of our diapers because I sun them!

I agree with the PP; sunlight for the win! We cloth diaper too and that is our go to method for our diapers or clothing (poop or food stains). I rinse in cold water when I first notice the stain, wash as normal, dry in the sun. Good luck!

Blue dawn dishsoap!! If it's been sitting you can mix a little bit of baking soda and peroxide and coat it.

I hand wash then with liquid hand soap and throw them in the wash again and it gets the stain out everytime l, the most recent was an orange poop stain on white jammies lol

I use sun too! We cloth diaper, and when there are stains I just pop them outside to dry-perfectly white again

for clothes with prints/colours I use oxyclean baby, and for woolies I use Buncha Farmers stain stick.

@Knottie12323835 can you use the baking soda and peroxide on colored clothes too? We use just plain Dawn but sometimes it just isn't enough.

Any thoughts on set-in stains. Love hubby and his willingness to change baby and do laundry, but he never pays attention. We have so many things that he has washed and dried that now have set-in stains.

I soak the outfit in hot water with the norwex detergent. I've had really good luck getting stains out of baby and hubby's clothes this way.

Mine does the same thing! Lol I hate finding her cute outfits at the bottom of the hamper with dried squash stains drives me nuts!

Dreft makes a stain remover that is the best thing I have ever used!! It's taken out everything, even spit up stains that were set in on some hand-me-downs!
