Re: PP weight check-in

  • I'm still a good 10 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. I never lost the last 5 with my first child so I'm not sure if this is forever or not. But I am still nursing and I started working out about a month ago so only time will tell. I actually put on weight when I started working out, which I guess could be from muscle mass since I'm lifting weights two days a week. Or at least that's what I am telling myself. Things in general aren't in a pretty place though haha!

  • I gained 35 lbs with pregnancy, lost most of it but these last 3-5 lbs are kicking my butt! Might not seem like much but I was already 6-8 lbs heavier when I got pregnant so I still want to lose 10-12 lbs to be back at my wedding weight.

I'm probably the unpopular one who has lost all of the baby weight plusthensome. I was not thinking I was going to be like this but I also have skipped more meals than I should because of DS.
ETA this is the one genetic thing I was not anticipating getting from my mother.
  • I'm still +5, but I also haven't worked out or tried to lose it. I gained 30lb and exclusively breastfeeding. My hips are wider and my stomach is squishy. I need to start working out!
  • I gained 45 with my giant baby girl. I am busting my ass, working out 5-6 days a week and counting my calories and I still can't get rid of the last 7 pounds. But I also refuse to diet or cut calories while BF. Milk comes first, and my body will recover eventually.

I'm a little under my prepregnancy weight from my second but still have 25 lbs to lose to get back down to what I weighed before my first. I'm just trying to eat as healthy as I can and keeping active. If I actively try to lose weight I'll stress about it too much.

ETA I think it also helped that with heart stuff I have going on and having to give up caffeine I gave up chocolate and soda. I definitely noticed not feeling so bloated now.
  • I'm about 6lbs lighter than pre-pregnancy
A mixture of breastfeeding and forgetting to eat breakfast and lunch lol

  • I am 3 pounds away from prepregnancy weight. ('_')!! But I have a muffin top lol. Thats where the weight is lol
  • I'm 10 lbs away from pre pregnancy. I haven't been actively trying to lose it until now. I'd like to actually lose the 20 extra lbs I was carrying before my BFP but I'm still breastfeeding so I'm not trying to cut calories, just eat a little healthier and get in more exercise.
  • I'm eight pounds from my pre pregnancy weight and exclusively breast feeding. I have been watching my eating the whole time and I walk at least four miles most days. I really want the weight off. My hips feel huge and I have a flabby skin muffin top. I feel bad about my body image and have to keep reminding myself that I just created and birthed a beautiful tiny human.
  • I actually have no idea! I know my pre pregnancy clothes don't quite fit and I'm probably about two inches bigger all around (more in the boobs!). However, I haven't actually attempted any weight loss and since I gained 60+ pounds with the twins, I'm feeling pretty good. I never weighed myself before babies and I probably won't now, either. I definitely need to gain back all the muscle I lost on bed rest and c section recovery, though. Once I get through this stressful move, I have a postpartum plan I'm itching to start!
  • I'm lighter than my pre pregnancy weight but still pudgy, how is that possible?! I too forget to eat all day until supper time. :/

I'm eating Doritos while reading this thread.
Hahaha!!! I still eat whatever I want mostly. The other night DS was fussy and being uncooperative so I had two double chocolate muffins and a glass of milk for dinner.
  • I am back down to my pre pregnancy weight but I feel thinner then I was before pregnancy.. But my butt is MIA and I miss it! I would rather be a bit heavier and have my ass.. I know my body is just going to be different now that it's gone through all those changes so I've just accepted what it is.
  • So far I've lost 45, I'm not sure exactly where I started since I didn't discover I was pregnant until 2 months in so weight gain could have been stress of my DH (boyfriend at the time) leaving for boot camp. I was 205 before delivery, 140 at my best when I was going raving every weekend but I think I was somewhere around 150-155 when the pregnancy journey began. I went to Zumba once a few weekends ago and it kicked my ass! I noticed the weight started coming off faster once I switched from nursing to pumping; I have oversupply so more output=more calories burned.
Regardless of where each of us is at on the scale, we are all beautiful mamas and I hope every one of you is proud of your body! <3
  • I gained 50 lbs and am fluctuating between 8-10lbs from PP. I also was running 15-30 miles a week before baby- I ran my first 5k since last June a few days ago, so there's still work to do ;) I'm still happy- half of my PP pants fit, just snugly...

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Same as PP above, weigh less but somehow still chubbier looking. Ugh. And I constantly forget to eat lunch. Still nursing a few times a day too and lots of power walking. Trying to be patient!!
  • I can't find a baby wrap to fit me @scientificunicorns, they all swallow me up!! Have you had any luck?? Maybe one of those American doll baby slings would work.
  • I'm stuck at the same weight and it's driving me nuts. I pretend I'm happy with it but really I hate myself.... I had problems with maintaining the "skinny girl" look in high school, I wasn't anorexic perse, but I was 5'6 and 105 lbs back then. Prepreg I was 120-125 and happy with it. Now I'm 135 and having a hard time. I walk or run everyday and drop down for push-ups/crunches/bicycle kicks at least twice a day. I'm pretty much a vegetarian. My boobs are smaller than Prepreg and I have lovehandles.... My DH gets mad whenever I mention how unhappy I am... But what else can I do?

Personally I use my 3 year old niece's wearable baby doll carrier. It's the only thing that will stay on my skinny bony frame. I've had to return my Moby and Ergo cause I'm far too skinny for such rubbish.

I'm thinking something like this. Although it's a large. So i may have to see if they can make an extra small.
  • @kristen2b my baby is getting a little chunky. Do you think I should put him on a diet yet? Maybe offer skim milk? Obesity is a bitch.
  • Chaelainev I completely understand that. Feel your pain. But you're beautiful the way you are
  • I don't have a clue what I weigh. My jeans don't fit quite right yet, but I can now wear a dress without thigh-burn. So close to pre-pregnancy weight maybe?
  • 6 lbs left but I swear it's all in my boobs lol.  I am up 4 cups sizes pre pregnancy

    I'm not even sorry.
Man. I sound like a Dick.
  • I'm Team Unpopular with @ATolentino89 I've been at or below my pre-preg weight since coming home from the hospital. I get grief over it but I'm quick with the reminders that they used to tell me I carried alllllll of my weight in my belly (and there were a few mentions of twins and/or my EDD being incorrect). I weigh less now but the pudge reallocation is atrocious. Unless chasing students counts, it's been about a year since I ran. I am registered for the San Antonio half in December and I am excited to train for it.
  • Pretty much all my muscles are gone. Wtf. Flat mom bum. Flabby flab
