@samsonator I share your concern. I've been trying to teach my baby the alphabet in utero using morse code and kicks but he's not responding. Also, my OB says I should feel 10 kicks every two hours but this baby is totally off, sometimes it's 10 but sometimes it's 12 or 15. It's like he's not even paying attention in there. I have no idea how he expects to read his hospital bracelet if he keeps slacking.
I personally think how badly you want it matters more than punctuality, but whatever you do you can't let the baby know. When I was pregnant with DS, I told him to get out of me every day starting at 38 weeks, but he sensed my desperation and waited until 40+5 (he was also uncooperative at doctor appointments, so maybe @Sgoldberg247 's theory feeds into it). This time around, I'm telling LO I want her to stay in there until she's 21.
