Holy back pain! It hurts when I stand and it hurts when I lay down. I also had really bad swelling in my ankles this past week, but I think it was because I flew 4 times within one week, so the pressure was probably a factor in that. Other than that, just generally achy in my lower abdomen. I switch sides pretty often during the night and rolling from one side to the other is sometimes a bit painful.
I don't know if I would call this a symptom, but just a little under 2 weeks ago I had a small bump pop up in the middle of my forehead. NBD, but the bump kept growing and eventually started bleeding every-time it got grazed, or basically even if I touched my face. When I say bleeding I mean profusely. I called the OB and got referred to a Derm. I went in on Monday (thank God they had an opening within a few days), and it turns out it was a Pyogenic Granuloma, commonly referred to as a "pregnancy tumor". They locally anesthetized, dug it out, and stitched it up (yes stitches on my forehead ). So as if pregnancy hormones don't make us crazy enough, they can also cause unsightly tumors on our foreheads. Pregnancy is so weird.
@emilymt06 that's crazy! I guess it's a good thing you went to a dermatologist! Now every time I have a bump pop up I'm gonna think of this and convince myself it's a tumor. Lol
@lynnlove28 It was the craziest thing. On top of that, I teach middle school if you can imagine the kids' reactions to the eraser-sized blood red bump and stitches, haha!
RLP realllly bad today, where it hurt to even crawl in bed. Braxton Hicks alllll day, erry day. To the point where my stomach bulges out and looks lopsided when it happens. So strange. The newest symptom though...pain in my ribs, like someone punched me. I don't know if it's my ribs, or my organs being pushed up underneath them, but it's extremely painful.
I've been having the worst pain under my chest/top of my ribs. I thought it was from my bra but even after switching that it still hurts basically non-stop all day. It almost feels like a bruise/sunburn feeling. After a little research I think it's just organs pushing against my ribs or something, but it is not a good feeling. I'm hoping that it won't last the entire rest of the pregnancy but I guess we'll just see! Anyone else ever have this?!
Ok here's another one....does anyone have pain when going to the bathroom? Like really bad cramping during and after? It only lasts a few minutes and it's worse at night
@Wylies -yes!!! I feel like all my insides are about to drop out while I am peeing and my muscles are contracting and cramping! There is so much pressure....I am pretty sure I scared the crap out of a co-worker in the restroom the other day, I was gasping so loud. Glad to know I am not the only one.
@mksfav - Isn't it the worst?? Its like emptying my bladder triggers crazy RLP, and exactly like you described it, feels like my insides are about to fall out. So strange! Sometimes all I can do is freeze on the toilet until it stops because the slightest movement makes it worse. Now my bathroom trips take me 3x as long. The struggle is real !
I'm finally starting to feel better! The nausea has passed (most of the way) and I actually have energy to get things done again.
Now my biggest symptom is it feels like a bowling ball is rolling around in there. The doctor even commented today he was "very active!" Which as far as symptoms go - that one is pretty cool
For anyone else having frequent/daily back pain, DH and I just got one of these little massager things, and it's awesome! Huge payoff for such a cheap little item. DH can give me backrubs and his hands don't get tired out. I can even use it on myself in a pinch. It also feels surprisingly good on leg muscles, and oddly enough, on your head! It's like the scalp massage you get with a haircut.
My legs and feet are swollen. Heartburn still comes and goes but this is really strange...after I got out of the shower this morning, I noticed my left nipple had black(?) scabs on it. I picked some out and they came off but they're like small black dried up something. Is this normal?
After the black "scabs" were gone, I saw white fluid like substance underneath where the "scabs" used to be.
My left boob has been shooting slight sharp pains as of late but nothing too bothersome. My right boob is smaller and my nipple on that side is flatter than the left side!! Nothing scab like, no pain, it just looks like my normal sized boob pre-pregnancy.
Is my milk going to come out on my left side mostly?! I don't know if I should get this nipple "scab" checked out.
@AliKay20 hmm that doesn't sound like anything I've experienced in any of my pregnancies. I feel like the scabs mixed with the shooting pains might be signaling and infection? It also could be your milk ducts starting to kick into gear, so maybe your nipple is just reacting to the moisture. Either way, I would probably reach out to the doctor about that one, especially since it's only on one side. Good luck!
I haven't posted in a long time because I got so frustrated with the bugginess of the app but I have a new symptom that's concerning me and I won't be able to call my ob to ask about it until Monday so; for the past weekish I have noticed that the underside of my boobs seems swollen or something. Like the skin is thicker and any imprint from my bra or whatever is very pronounced and stays for a long time. In the evening when I take my bra off if I lift my boob it literally has like a corner where it lays against my chest. And if I lightly pinch or gather some of my skin it has the peau d'orange appearance that I've always heard of related to breast cancer. I figure it's a yet another weird pregnancy thing but it is a little concerning and I haven't found any mention of similar symptoms related to pregnancy. I will of course be calling my Dr. Monday, but anyone else have any ideas what it might be?
@Bookhousegirl ahhh possible infection?! I should ping my doc and see what's up!
Of course, I googled first before anything and came down to my own self diagnosis that it's just dried up colostrum. Hope it's that and not an infection!! Thanks for the heads up!
I have recently started having one hiccup - usually after I eat, but happens other times too. It's been happening more often lately - I can't tell if it's instead of a burp or what. Anyone ever experienced this?

And then the irritability. With everyone
Also, I had to start wearing my wedding rings on a chair around my neck...
