I just realized the mess in our house might not *all* be my husband's...and I'll probably just try to get back to a better organizing/cleaning routine rather than admit he may be right about it. By mess I don't mean dirty but, stuff like paperwork/piles of mail that I keep putting off filing or shredding. Guilty as charged
I just spent $100 on a raffle ticket to be entered for a 2016 Honda pilot. It's been my dream mommy mobile. I'm sure I won't win but if we did. ....it would be a miracle. I know we still have to pay taxes on the value of it if we won but it would be a huge help to my family.
@jillianpardo I am still scouting my new mommy mobile. I have a Chevy Silverado and officially HAVE to upgrade to something with 3rd row seating now. It's so much harder than I thought it would be...
Yup!! I have a mazda3. I have been going crazy trying to use it with two kids and a double stroller. I was looking at a Toyota sienna because it has the most cargo space. I've always wanted the pilot. We aren't going to be able to get a new car so this raffle is all the more exciting. I know it's silly to get my hopes up
My mom fell and hurt her knee, then fell again while on crutches and broke her shoulder. She's in a ton of pain, and can't walk, use her arm, or do much of anything.
Two months ago, MIL had elective shoulder surgery. She and FIL are retired, whereas my dad still works (shifts) and is the sole care-taker of my mother.
Since her surgery, I've been cooking my parents 1 meal a week. I haven't cooked any for MIL/FIL (or DH).
Ww are relying on Craigslist to spit out a gem, no new car for us either. We are thinking Tahoe, FI can work on anything Chevy like a pro so maintenance is of absolutely no concern to me. Give me a decent engine with moderate mileage and we are golden! But with two car seats, two booster seats, and a double stroller in our future we have zero choice but to find whatever we can ASAP!
I wish they would hurry up and tow my flooded car to get inspected so I can find out if they are going to total it or not. If so, I'm upgrading to a mommy mobile being an SUV. But I will throw a fit if they try to just clean the carpet. My car already smells like mildew to the point I couldnt clean it out yesterday. I will throw my pregnant card around so fast to get something replaced in fear of mold.... ugh.
Going with the new car theme... I got a mommy mobile on Wednesday. My lease was almost up on my 2 door civic so I traded it in and got a cross-over SUV. My H had a 2 door jeep wrangler with no back seat so he ended up trading that in and getting a 4 door sporty hatchback that will accomodate a car seat but won't be LO's primary source of transportation. So basically, my confession is we've spent a ridiculous amount of money this week and really need to cut back and budget but I'm STILL lurking babymoon weekend getaways. Someone stop me.

@jillianpardo and @AllyTheKid - I have a Toyota 4Runner and that thing has ALL the space. I'm glad I got that instead of another sedan since we ended up KU with twins.
I promised myself that today I would give up the sweets because today marks the first day of my 2nd trimester. I ate a fudge pop, at 5:30am, on my drive into work.
I hate all the crocheted baby clothes my mom has made for our baby. I know I should feel all sentimental about them or whatever, but I'm just not a fan of crochet. I don't have the heart to tell her that though, so she just keeps making things...

No flame here. I have an "11 Pilot and the new ones make me drool. If I had $20,000 more dollars, I totally would've gotten one. And I'll be incredibly jealous of you win.
@uponastar16 I agree. But maybe the confession part then should have focused more on how I don't really ever cook for DH. Last night I made his all-time favorite, this sweet and sour chicken recipe I have that's so delicious. I gave over half of it to my parents and he was so ticked.
Yesterday, i took advantage of the reserved for expectant moms parking space. I know technically that means us, but i always try to save those spots for 9 months expantant mommies.
I'm seriously contemplating taking a nap at my desk right now.
I passed a coworker in the hall who asked how I was and I said I was tired and needed a nap. She said "You got here at 8, and it's not even 10 yet!" Don't caaaaaaaaaare!
It's officially after 10 now.... it's 10:05. Totally been at work long enough for a short nap, right?
@AshleyGemini24 I finally caved the other day. My mother and I had been shopping for hours and we were both exhausted. I felt kind of guilty but my back was killing me.
All for for me except the cronuts. Those are the labor prizes for a friend I am photographing today. Haha. I am so excited to see another baby born this week!
One of my FB friends (read: we're not friends in real life) posted a picture from the delivery room of her pulling her baby out of...well, herself. I'm all for the beauty and wonder of labor and delivery, but I don't think there's ever a time where I thought to myself "I really wish someone would post a picture of themselves pulling a fresh out of the oven baby out of their...oven."
I've seriously said all of 2 sentences to this person in real life, and I now have intimate knowledge of what her nether regions look like.
I'm a nail technician and when I get a client that's obnoxiously picky or bitchy, I purposely paint their nails really messy and watch them silently freak out about the polish that's all over their skin and cuticles. Then I wait till I'm done, clean it all up, and grin like an idiot.
@UponAStar16 YES I just had this realization the other day. My best friend was over and I was kind of complaining about it and she was like "Um...this looks like it's yours... and when was the last time you wore these heels? They're yours too!" Ugh... when is the housecleaning nesting going to kick in?!
I take public transportation, and was on a packed car yesterday. I saw someone who looked able-bodied sitting in the priority seating spot that is supposed to be given to people who need to sit. I pointed out my bump, and asked if he might consider giving me his seat if he wouldn't be uncomfortable standing since I was pregnant and had a very long ride ahead of me.
He very graciously said of course, and gave me his seat.
My boss asked me if I could work Monday (my day off) to help because of the flooding in Houston, but I told her I couldn't because I was at Disneyland. I was in bed and was just really looking forward to my day of relaxation.

What do you do? If you're a State Farm Inspector I need you to get to work because I need my flooded car inspected! haha
A girl at work told me she brought really delicious gourmet donuts for everyone. When I excitedly got a chance to go and get one, they weren't gourmet - they were motherfuckin' Hostess donuts from the grocery store! I was mad at her for the rest of the night. Way to get my hopes up, lady.

3 different managers asked me if I could come in and work this weekend and I declined every shift. I could really use the overtime to save up for maternity leave but I just worked 10 days in a row and I'm really enjoying being lazy and sleeping in today.
On the subject of work- I just came off 11 days off (which isn't terribly unusual for me, really) and I'm seriously feeling sad for myself that I have to go in tonight.
This is more of a rant than a confession but I do not understand why some people can't see something on the internet that they disagree with and scroll on by without being a dick about it. I posted on facebook asking my mom friends to recommend things I need/don't need. Someone suggested some sort of vitamin D powder to mix into a bottle and now a mommy war has erupted over the benefits of breastmilk vs. formula and why you do/don't need to add vit D to breast milk and who the hell knows what else but come on... chill the F out.

@UponAStar16 I have the house semi organized (still working on unpacking from our move) but the idea of chasing my son all day and picking up after him fifteen times is not happening. Toys everywhere, lunch dishes in the sink, my pjs on the bathroom floor? eh, I'll get there. My husband just laughs and I try to nag him less about his mess as he helps pick up mine.
I'm making a baby registry for myself as a STM for all the things I need just for the completion discounts. I also plan to share it will MIL if she asks what we need because she thinks money buys love and momma could use the $150 towards a crib.
Re: FFFC (4/22)
That being said, I really need to stop. Every damn episode makes me cry these days.

@mariefox16, barf!!!
Yeah right. I've been checking on baby every other day, and can now locate his heartbeat in like 2 seconds. I've become a pro.
In my defense, as soon as I hear his heartbeat, I listen for 10 seconds and then quit. But still, once a week, really? who was I kidding?
