TW: Loss mentioned

So, I have known I am pregnant since 3w5d I am now 8w5d and I do not have the heart to tell my BFF that I am expecting. She and her DH had been struggling to become pregnant for over 3 years and after several rounds of IVF they did. Unfortunately after 4 months the baby had no heartbeat and she experienced a loss. This was just late last year. Early this year she told me they tried again and told no one, not even their parents and she was devastated to find out it didn’t take.

I do not know how to tell her or when to tell her. I know she will be happy but crushed at the same time. I guess what I am asking is for some advice on how to share the news. I have never been in this situation or known anyone else struggling with IVF to have this personal conversation with. Any advice, tone suggestions, general words would help. I am really stressing.

There are a few other threads on this topic, but I suck at finding things and the Bump's search box is pretty terrible. There wasn't a complete consensus, but a lot of the advice was either tell her by email/text/letter or call her and tell her...though some worried about how they'd react over the phone in a similar situation. The main gist was to tell her before you see her in person so she can process it in her own way without worrying about your reaction.
