April IUI

Re: April IUI

• I retested this morning and still a BFN at 11dpIUI. I think I'm calling it for this month and moving on to focus on my 1st RE appointment on 4/27. My 21 day progesterone was 9.5, so my OB is planning to keep me on the same dose of letrozole (2.5mg) for this next cycle. I think I'll start this cycle with my OBs course of action, see what the RE says when I go, on what should be cd6, and see if he's willing to take over this cycle from my OB and actually provide some monitoring and maybe go with a trigger shot to help guarantee we get the IUI timed appropriately.

• @Monica54321 Sorry to hear about the BFN :( Fingers crossed the RE can take over your next cycle!

@madasm0530 Good luck tomorrow!

@sweetscoop That really sucks the IUI was painful, but glad you got through it and hope you are feeling much better now!

LadyMillil Sorry it didn't work this time :( Good luck with your next IUI!

@girlryanne Welcome and good luck this cycle!

@dani4est Very sorry you have to be back here, I hope your stay is short!

Hope everyone who is in their TWW is doing well and keeping busy, and good luck to all who are doing their IUIs this week! I took my last dose of Clomid last night (so glad to be done with that, it made me even more exhausted this time around!), and will be having an u/s tomorrow morning at cd9 (last time at cd10 I had already started my surge so the RE wants to try to get ahead of the game this time). Really hoping for good follies tomorrow!

@meli123k. .. thanks for ur kind words!!! I'm still in the tww. ..after iui on the 8th and tons of bd'ing.....absolutely no symptoms...not one....feeling really bummed today. Honestly, tired of going for beta after beta....then another beta b4 af begins just to start the process all over!... I've gained 6lbs....due to femara...anyone else gain weight due to meds??? *shruggs* sorry for the vent. Anyone had an iui and feeling symptomatic? ???? Hope so, I need someone to be excited for!! Still sprinkling baby glitter for everyone...cyber hugs xxnx and bfp for all
• @CooCoo4U
I don't think I have gained (don't really weigh myself) but I have definitely been more bloated then normal. The fun stuff we have to deal with :)

@meli123k hope your appointment goes well and good luck on the iui!

Not too many symptoms- way less then last month. My boobs hurt but that is normal for me. Yesterday morning I threw up after brushing my teeth- that was weird but probably not related.

I should find out tomorrow or thurs! Anyone else close to finding out? I want to see some bfps!

• @chicandbubbly. ....I'd soooo say puking after brushing is a symptom!! I'm not testing af due in 4 days.. just waiting no more betas just waiting it out for me

@Madasm0530 this round I triggered on the 7th at 600pm.......did iui on the 8th at 12:15pm..... I really believed I ov'd on the ninth... smh idk
• @CooCoo4U I also hate feeling like nothing is different cycle after cycle :/ I try to tell myself that plenty of people don't have symptoms so early, but it's hard not to be discouraged. Last cycle was my first using clomid + ovidrel + estradiol (also took progesterone, but I had taken that a couple cycles with no side effects), and I ended up having really sore breasts almost a week after the IUI...that got me excited and hopeful, but turns out it was just the meds playing tricks on me. Sucks we have to deal with icky side effects on top of everything else. I hope you feel better and FX for you this cycle!

@chicandbubbly FX for good news in the next day or two!!!

@madasm0530 I didn't test out my trigger on IUI #1, but I may this time out of curiosity. Last cycle I did a HPT on CD12, and my beta was a couple days after...I'm still undecided about this time, it's so hard to see a BFN, but at the same time it did help prepare me for when the nurse called with the final results.

• Well my progesterone test today came back good so I'm guessing I just had a mild ovulation this go around. Still not holding out a ton of hope but it is what it is.

@monica54321 sorry to hear about the bfn. You're not out until you're out though! Seeing an RE sounds like a good plan.

@madasm0530 I've tested out my trigger a couple cycles but I feel like it adds more anxiety. It stays in my system 10-11 days so I just wait for it to darken (although it never has). Hope that helps!

Well I tested this morning (12dpiui) and bfn. I will wait two days and test again but pretty sure I'm out for the month. :(

good luck to everyone still waiting!! Fx!!!!
• @madasm0530 I usually test out my trigger, and it's been a roller coaster this cycle and last. So start at your own risk. ;) I start testing around 9 days past the trigger.

@chicandbubbly I'll know by Monday! I'm 8dpiui today. FX for you!

@srh18 sorry about the BFN. :(

AFM...currently testing out the trigger. Like I said above, I'm 8dpiui (10 days past the trigger). Tests yesterday and today were positive but today's was much lighter so FX it gets darker in a hurry! I'm feeling super cranky today, and kind of anxious. I'm tired. I'm smelling lots of smells--they don't turn my stomach but cause me to wrinkle my nose. Heavy breasts and tenderness that comes and goes (switching bras helped). Increased appetite. Energy burst yesterday and more fatigue today. Hurry up and wait, like always!
• I just had my Saline Tubal Perfusion ultrasound today and they think my right tube my be partially blocked ughhhh I know it's not the end of the world but I honestly didn't prepare myself for there being anything wrong
• @CooCoo4U I "gained" 3 pounds on clomid, but it was all bloat and went away within a week after my last pill.
• Af arrived on Sunday....I started clomid today and US is scheduled for Monday.....hoping for 3 or 4 follicles this time and not 10! If all goes well on Monday, I'm thinking IUI will be done on Wednesday....FX!!
GL to everyone in the 2ww!! Praying for some BFPs this cycle!!#
• @srh18 :'( so sorry about your bfn hun. Waiting for af too....let's carry our prayers into May. I know it's frustrating.

@LMart85 good luck with hour follies, and great success with your iui. We all need a BFP to celebrate Fx that it's your time <3
• After work, I went to a baby shower for an old co-worker who I'm good friends with. I didn't know anyone else there besides the mom-to-be, who is familiar with my IF struggle.

It. Was. Aweful.

The other women (her current co-workers, mostly older) were just extremely in-your-face... lots of rude & insensitive comments about women without children. I just kept my lips bit and watched the clock, waiting to escape. Under different circumstances, I would've said something, but I didn't want to take any of the focus away from my friend, who unfortunately looked just as uncomfortable as I was.

Anyway, glad that's over! Just wanted to vent.

@LMart85 FX for good follies (and not too many!)

@Monica54321 That sounds miserable :( I'm glad you were able to be there for your friend though, I'm sure she appreciates it especially knowing what you are going through!

AFM, I had a CD9 ultrasound today and there were 3 follies, two 14mm and one 11mm. So I'm glad that there are three this time (last time was two) to help up our chances, but hoping they grow well within the next couple days. I go in for another ultrasound Friday. I also have thin lining again but the nurse said that could get better as the follies mature more...I suspect I will end up needing to go on estradiol again, but fingers crossed maybe my lining will cooperate ;)

So sorry about af. Day one is always the most devastating for me. I'm waiting for her arrival as well, I think I'm out for this cycle. No negative thoughts, just trying to be realistic with myself. Just trying to smile and wait for May.
@meli123k
I have no symptoms :'(
I did femara and ovirdel this round with iui ... not to mention acupuncture. I beginning to think it's all about the money at this point. Maybe they know this isn't going to work for me and they're just going round for round for the cash.... :'( my mind is all over the place
• @madasm0530 sorry to hear things didn't work out for you this cycle :( I just found out I'm out this month too.

Unfortunately I just got news that my thyroid TSH jumped from .068 to over 7 in the past 4 weeks after my latest dosage adjustment. That's the worst it's been yet. My RE said we should skip this cycle because of the risks that high of a TSH could have. I was feeling really excited and positive this morning after my ultrasound, but hearing that just crushed me. I know we will get my dosage right eventually but I never thought it would take this long (started meds July 2015). I suspect it's playing a big role in why we can't get pregnant in the first place. Anyways, heading home after getting in my car and having a good cry, I just can't face going back to work right now (and thankfully it's been a slow day). Thanks for letting me vent. I hope there will be lots of positive and happy news for the rest of you this month!

• Its been a rough couple of days all around. :( Sorry everyone, and hugs to all of you.

AFM, still waiting. 11dpo today...and I have no idea whats happening. Energy is up. I feel like the trigger isnt influencing how I feel. Boobs hurt when I walk. I feel a little crampy/achy. My test yesterday was negative but today was positive. Very faint, but positive. So...either something is starting or maybe it was just really diluted yesterday. I dont know!
• AF arrived today, 1 day early - how nice of her! Have we actually had any April IUI BFPs yet? If not - that means we must be due for some. FX for everyone still in the TWW!

@CooCoo4U thanks for all of your kind thoughts!! It might seem silly but your support over the past couple of months has been really amazing...I am so appreciative of your kind words and upbeat attitude!! I've been having a hard week but I know this too shall pass. To make it better, I got into somewhat of an argument with my nurse today about me not coming in for my beta tomorrow...I eventually lied and told her I am going out of town and that I can't go in tomorrow. Now I'm not only stressed and down, but also feeling guilty for lying. Haha can't seem to win. I'm on the same page as you though--all these appts are just too much!! So I guess on to my next iui in May and praying praying that timing works out because we will be on vacation for a whole week in May. Ugh feeling defeated and disappointed and honestly feeling like its never going to happen. Just one of those days I guess. How are you doing?? I know you've said you have counted yourself out this month but have you tested yet?? It could be your month!!!!!!!! Praying for you.

Good luck to everyone still in their TWW. We need more good news on this board!!!
• Sorry @Monica54321... it sucks so bad :(. Are you doing a third IUI? We had our IVF consult today- we are starting right away I start BC pills tomorrow! Craziness! I am terrified, but happy to keep the process moving.

Me: 28, DH: 30 Married July 2014 DX: Severe MFI- 3 failed IUI's, IVF #1 Egg retrieval June 4th 2016, 5 day transfer- BFP Baby Boy! EDD 2/25/2017. Our sweet miracle Carter Bennett arrived 2/12/2017 6 lbs, 2 oz 19 inches. <3 Surprise BFP!!! Baby Girl due 10/1/2018.

• @Lin&say this is the first cycle where I'm really trying not to poas. My bathroom looks like a pharmacy. I look at that cbe every morning, even took one with me this a.m. in my purse...but I just cant, so I'll try it the old fashion way and wait for af. Even though it was 4 days late last month due to femara.

@srh18! !!!!!!!!! I am so glad ur ok and hanging there! I was glad to see your post, and u inspire and support me as well....nothing silly about that. I'm sincere when I promise to think of and pray for you. Our cycles are close so we have to hang in there together. A chance meeting of two strangers with the same fears and struggles. God brings people into our lives for a reason. If we believe that then we have to believe our fight isn't in vain. Yesterday was bad for me, the tears wouldn't stop, but my fellow Bumpie helped me get thru it <3 I have so much respect for all of our strength. We will get there @srh18.
Btw, my re nurse isn't happy with me either. I have to travel approx 40 miles to get to them.Test after test after test...draining and costly especially when the result is obvious. I have to put my faith to the test, if and or when af comes ( which something tells me it will...no symptoms ) we'll be ready for May. Cyber hugs dear keep ur chin up :)
