1 - keep refined sugar and refined carbs intake reasonable (like one thing a day) 2 - keep active and strong - whatever that means for what I can do that week - but not stress about the days that it just won't happen 3 - kegels 3-4 times a week (better than none) 4 - take time to appreciate DH
This is my first, so I am just going with the flow with everything I have been reading... and hoping it's accurate.
1 - Stay active. I have put on 10lbs. over the last year, even with working out regularly and eating sensibly... and was never able to shake off even 5lbs... so I want to stay as fit as I can. I know weight gain is going to happen, but would like to know that I am being proactive about it anyhow.
2 - cut unnecessary carbs/sweets. My body always feels sluggish when I eat them, or eat too much of them. Sometimes, it will be OK to have them both in moderation.
3 - Enjoy this time.

Mostly to continue exercising throughout. It's been hard lately with busy days and being so tired but I am getting it in once or twice a week. When I'm on summer break and in the second tri I'm sure that will go up, so I'm not stressing about it now.
My other goal is to try to chill out. I'm a planner by nature and change panics me. We're looking at buying a house when our lease is up in October, so that will be a lot happening at once, but I want to try to be more go with the flow. We'll live somewhere no matter what, and baby will be fine.
Mine goal is really different than everyone else's so far. I hope to make my doctor listen to my concerns later on in the pregnancy. Also to make the nurses listen when I need something while in labor.

#2 for me - with me it was more that the nurse wouldn't leave me alone. DH and I will be ready to potentially swap out nurses if we get one like last time. There's definitely pros and cons to a hospital birth but this time we're going to be more assertive - if there's no imminent concern - leave me be.
My goals are: 1) to have a healthy pregnancy that is not surrounded by weight gain/loss. This is super hard coming from a past of eating disorders and I found myself fixating on it during my last pregnancy too much to the point of it being unhealthy. 2) to stay active 3) to enjoy the little moments with DS and SD before baby #3 gets here

My nurse refused to check me for 2 hrs. She said 'You are a FTM and its just the baby descending. You do't need to push yet, just push your epi button.' Well she was wrong, and when she finally did check L was stuck and had pooped.

1. Stay active! 2. Involve DH as much as I possibly can. 3. Eat healthy/not too many carbs. I was on a low-carb diet prior to my pregnancy because of PCOS, so I have to add carbs back in, but healthy ones! 4. Enjoy this time as much as possible. There was a time when I wasn't sure I could get pregnant, and now that I am I want to cherish this time

Mine are basically the same as everyone else's. 1. Stay active. I just got into a good routine, I don't want to totally lose that. 2. Eat the health foods. This is always my goal, but I want to actually DO it now 3. Not worry so much that I forget to enjoy it. 4. I'm looking forward to many baby crafts but I'm not going to say it's a goal or I'll stress myself out if I don't get to it.

Goals 1. To not be in pain for 5 months straight. 2. Avoid back labor (I know that's really not in my control) 3. Focus on my two daughters, because my second will only be my youngest for a little while longer. 4. Try not to obsess if the baby will have hypotonia too (or any other dx) 5. Have another VBAC and try to avoid the epidural this time around.
Those are great goals ladies! 1. Stay positive. I usually am little miss sunshine but can snap while pregnant.
2. Labor at home as long as possible and birth without an epidural. Baby 1 was 20 hours of labor in the hospital and was terrible. I wasn't normal until DD1 was 5 months old. I showed up at 8cm with DD2 and my epidural didn't work because it was a botched epidural. I had an excruciating spinal headache for a week. One neighbor is a Dr, another a police officer, and the other neighbors have a bazillion kids so I think we will be ok lol
3. Not allow my horrible inlaws ruin this moment for our family. They've been pretty shitty. Upset both are girls, no congratulations, BIL threw a huge fit both times our girls were born. It's pretty twisted and insane!
1. Try to stay active. I just started going to the gym right before I found out I was pregnant, so I'm trying to keep up that new routine. 2. Eat healthy. 3. Keep my focus at work. I teach elementary school and the beginning and ending of school are always crazy times (really the whole year can be crazy). Just hoping I don't have too much pregnancy brain and can keep up with my students until I go on leave.
