Anyone else getting sucked into Google with their pregnancy? I was feeling a slight cramp on the right side today and totally worked myself into a panic thinking I was having an ectopic pregnancy. I'm likely just gassy or something, but I HAVE to stop with the Google!
Weird/scary things I wish I hadn't googled in the last few weeks -
No symptoms 5 weeks miscarriage
Slight pain right side ectopic
Arcuate uterus miscarriage
Anyone else getting terrified by Dr. Google? What weird things have you been searching?
Re: Dumb Things You've Been Googling
I can't even begin to list the weird things I've googled because I can't remember them all, but one had to do with whether or not you can overdose on prenatal vitamins because I accidentally took mine twice.
This pregnancy I have had one sided pain a bunch of times, on both sides. One side is likely the corpus luteum (or so they tell me) which is on the side I ovulated from, and is normal. Still no explanation for why I sometimes have pain in my other side but it might be gas. But I have had 2 ultrasounds so far and no ectopic.
For me, I've mostly been googling what I can and can't eat. I ate a turkey wrap the other day and microwaved it first but didn't actually take the turkey out of the wrap so I'm not positive it was "steaming" and did a lot of panicking about that.

I'm googling every different thing I eat....even the simplest foods like pretzels and chocolate milk. It's my first pregnancy, so I'm overly paranoid and Google is not helping!
"hamburger not fully cooked pregnant"
"pancetta pregnant"
Others:
"hot tub chemicals pregnant"
"Miscarriage risk by week"
"California teachers family leave"
I will Google other woman's bump photos and have researched enough ultrasounds during my pregnancies that a tech doesn't need to tell me what I'm looking at. I could never be team green because I know exactly what each sex looks like. Even if it's just in passing.

I have no idea what is up with me today. I'm on pelvic rest so no BD/orgasms so there isn't air getting trapped/moved around in there. I found no useful search results. ****hangs head in shame*****

The other day I went down a rabbithole and found a very crunchy blog that totally freaked me out. Apparently there's some weird MTHFR (not even kidding) gene mutation thing that could possibly be rendering the folate in my PNV's ineffective. Gahhhhh I need to stop.
But! I did discover that eating dates regularly during the last four weeks of pregnancy can lower induction rates and help with labor. Very cool.
ETA: About to google whether you can train for a half-marathon while pregnant. I'm sorry, the Oatmeal's Beat the Blerch is coming here in October! I really want to run it!

I have 2 friends that did halfs while pregnant. It screwed up both of their hips. They are both huge runners too. With all the relaxin in your system, your supporting muscles just have a really hard time holding things in alignment for that far of a distance.
I did 5ks every month last pregnancy - they were fun and felt GREAT. This time my ankle is crapping out on me already so who knows...
Anyways - it's totally dependent on your body but there's definitely an increased risk that you'll blow your load on that one run and then be out of pocket the rest of the time.
