  • 1. How far along are you? 15+2

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? 16 week OB appointment next Monday, then elective ultrasound next Wednesday!

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm kinda bummed out about how little attention this new baby is getting. DS is still really young and everyone is super focused on him (including me) but it makes me a little sad thinking about how excited everyone was about that first pregnancy. This one? Meh, not nearly so much!

    4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Dogs all the way. We have an AWESOME cat but I feel like he's an exception. I also own a dog walking company and most days we have an extra dog or two running around the house. The picture below is my two Boston Terriers (in the front) and a client's BT in the back.

  • 1. How far along are you? 14w1d

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? So excited to be in the second trimester! I'm looking forward to taking my two little guys for the ultrasound to find out if they're getting a brother or sister. Of course that would mean getting my act together and scheduling the appointment, right?

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm starting to relax and be able to enjoy being pregnant! Although I swear I'm sleeping more than I have since I was in college. I can't get enough sleep.

    4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Both! I have a golden retriever that I love but my cat from high school will always be my favorite pet ever. It's really cool that my boys get to meet and play with him at my parents' house.

15+6, one more day til I hit the 16 week mark =)

    2. Next Milestone you're looking forward to? 16 weeks, and my U/S on the 22nd! I'm ready for some answers.

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
We are getting a lot of much-needed rain, but I am terrified for storm season to kick off. Tornados seem so much scarier when you are pregnant and have kiddos to keep wrangled and protected =S

  • 1.  I'm 15w3d

    2.  Looking forward to Thursday's appt for maybe another peek at our peanut.

    3.  Rant today: really morning sickness?  I thought you were leaving?  Back with a vengeance is real jerk move!

    4.  I love both but our life is cats at the moment.

  • 1. How far along are you? 15 weeks, 4 days

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My anatomy scan on May 13.

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm definitely feeling like myself again. I'm not eating as much like a garbage truck and have been working out consistently, which is very different from first trimester.  I also had a fantastic check-up today and got to hear the baby's heartbeat and movements.

    4. GTKY: dogs or cats? Dogs, but I would have a cat too if my husband weren't allergic.
  • 1. How far along are you?15+3 but when I received my paperwork for Makena injections it said I would be 16+1, so who knows.

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My OB appointment this afternoon.  Lost a baby at 15 weeks so I'm just a ball of nerves waiting to hear the heartbeat.

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Still nauseous and dry heaving all the time.

    4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) I have 3 pitbull that I refer to as dum-dums.
  • 1. How far along are you? 16w 2d

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? May 4th the anatomy scan

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I don't really have any this week. Just ready to hear my quad screen results.

    4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!)
    Both of course!!!

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have an appointment this afternoon :) We're also taking the kids with us to our elective ultrasound on the 30th. I'm pretty excited for that. DS has been talking about it non-stop.

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm feeling normal. Energy is back and no morning sickness. It just worries me even though I shouldn't. So it will be nice to get a bit of relief this afternoon at my appointment.

    4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Dogs!
  • 1. 13w4d

    2. ultrasound the 28 and one the 12. and finally confirming this bitty person is a girl :)

    3. way less tired but now headaches and rlp have become annoying.

    4. dogs over cats but we have neither. dh hates pets.

  • 1. How far along are you? 16w1d

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Hopefully getting the optional genetic testing results this week, and my 16-week appt Thursday. I'm not sure if they'll do an ultrasound but I hope to get another peek!

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm trying not to sound extremely bratty (or pregzilla?) but since yesterday I've been getting exasperated with lots of questions about planning the baby shower. Realized I'm being bitchy mostly bc I'm still stuck in the hold-my-breath-for-a-heartbeat mode and that is clashing with openly planning ahead for the fun stuff...I guess it can't wait forever if I want anyone to show up when it's time!

    4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Both, each in their own special ways haha.

  • 1. How far along are you? 14 weeks, 4 days

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? regular appointment May 3, anatomy ultrasound May 27 - hoping I feel the baby before then!

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm tired but have trouble sleeping. I wish I could sleep and be rested and then do what I need to, but instead I sit around too tired to be useful. So behind on stuff.

    4. GTKY: dogs or cats? GUINEA PIGS.

I love my cat, too. I feel like dogs would be WAY too needy.

  • 1. How far along are you? 15w + 5d

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Ultrasound on Wednesday and Anatomy scan on May 18th

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: loving this weather!

    4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Dogs!!!

  • STUPID APPOINTMENT. The ultrasound guy apparently wasnt in today and so I didn't get an US and the dr couldnt tell me anything except my hemoglobin and urine and blood pressure are great.... bleh. Does not help the anxiety.

  • Hey just wondering how everyone is doing?
  • @uponastar16, bigger baby means better Doppler situation. I'm addicted but I'm calm now. how u holding up
  • I haven't been posting updates here much but I'm always lurking the thread and keeping everyone in my T&Ps.

The latest loss post really got me and I started to go to a bad place. I think I've put my mind at ease for now but she was exactly the same week/day as I am and I've just started to feel "safe".

Anyone else have guilt when you see someone who had a loss much later than yours? My loss was a very early CP and because it was my first pregnancy, I took it extremely hard. Since it was such an early loss, I almost feel guilty feeling sad about it or anxious about this pregnancy as a result when so many have had much later losses. Anyone else with me?

  • @UponAStar16 I got randomly paranoid today (I think after seeing the loss post).  I'm going to Doppler as soon as I get home. I hope everyone is doing well.
  • I was super frustrated about not getting to have an U/S at my last apt (the 19th) and every day since I've just been super paranoid. Until I can get in for one I think I will continue to be because my last U/S was only at 11wks

  • I am anxiously awaiting my appt on the 4th. It is our anatomy scan and although I am excited about finding out the sex I want to know that they are developing correctly and I just want to see him/her moving around in there. I haven't seen them since 7 week.

  • @mrszoess - yes, they can't hide forever! Glad to hear your dopplering is going better! I'm good, a little guilty to be so happy about having such a good appt yesterday when there was a loss on here the same day

@MRSCORKER  - it really threw me off too when I saw it, and I def can relate to what you're saying bc seeing a loss now make me think my last mmc at 8 weeks seem like it shouldn't have been so devastating. But each loss is different and is the worst thing ever for the person going through it...and they all can change how we think and feel about later experiences

@depineta - the doppler can be nice for some relief at times like this. Hope you can easily locate the melodic thumps of your LO later!

@kmolleltz - ugh, that's disappointing to miss a sneak peek when you get a chance. When's your next one? Maybe the kicks will start by then for a built-in way of checking on baby?

@ejmo68 - yay for your upcoming scan, and fx everything looks great and that you have a good time seeing how big and baby-looking they've gotten since week 7!

  • @UponAStar16 I am hoping to be able to get in sometime this week but officially my next apt isnt until 17 March :/ where I will be 19weeks!

Yes.  I discount my loss all the time because it was so early and because we knew something was up even before we got the BFP (I took a test because I was having odd bleeding, so from the very beginning we were aware that the pregnancy might not be viable).  So sometimes I feel like it doesn't really "count" and I feel bad thinking of myself as a PGAL mom or getting worked up.  I just try to remind myself that loss is not a contest.  Everyone's experience is different, and just because someone had a later loss doesn't mean that you weren't affected by yours.

A loss is a loss so don't feel that way. I've had a loss at 3 weeks and one at 9 weeks and the earlier one wasn't any easier. That post hit me really hard too. I couldn't even comment, I just had to close the thread. But I'm feeling pretty secure finally so it didn't cause any real bad anxiety. I'll probably pull the Doppler out tonight just to feel better. I hope that at almost 16 weeks, I'll finally hear something. Lol

  • That post yesterday shook me up as well. I was starting to feel a little safe, but I'm also drawing nearer to the time when we lost our son last year at 20 weeks so I think that doesn't help either. I just want this baby safe and healthy in my arms already.

And in regards to the guilt feeling, as the others have said a loss is a loss. Your feelings are completely valid and a loss is devastating no matter when it happened.

  • I also was shook up by the recent loss. We haven't seen one in awhile, and I was beginning to feel so much safer. I think any loss is devastating, no matter how early you are. I wouldn't feel guilty because you lost your baby early on and felt very emotional. It's still a loss, and shouldn't be downplayed.

I have been super emotional lately, but just seeing the headline, without clicking on the post, made me tear up.

I keep praying that we all stay on the healthy pregnancy path. Hopefully we will all get to meet our rainbow babies!!

  • For the past two nights I have had dreams that I started bleeding. Obviously a lot of people have had some bleeding or spotting and been fine (I haven't, either with this or my loss). I thought I felt the baby moving a couple of weeks ago, but not since (15 weeks now so that would have been early if I were right). I think I heard the heartbeat on doppler but it was faint - hope it's just my fat getting in the way. Or I think I could have been imagining it (even though my husband was there and says yes, that was the baby.) It's just getting ridiculous how panicky I am. I hate making plans because I feel like I'm counting my chicken before it hatches, but obviously you can't make all your baby plans after it's delivered, or even hold them all until the third trimester.

  • @RainMira9e I'm sorry about your dreams and I know it felt awful when I had a few similar ones, where you can't quite shake it for a while after waking up. It's really hard to do some realistic planning and enjoy some of the excitement while also having my guard up. It's not easy most of the time but I think if we could get through the bad and ugly, we deserve to enjoy some of the good now!
