I'm not done yet but once I am, I'm getting fully gutted. I carry a reproductive system genetic variable mutation that has given ever woman in my family cancer between 45-55. I'm almost excited to take out all my ish and not have to be do concerned about cancer and go through all the yearly extra testing i have to do now
Hormones make me feel like crap and I got pregnant with my non hormonal IUD which ended up being ectopic and scary and a very bad experience. Hubby will be getting a vasectomy after this one. It's just a matter of when and what to do in the interim.
So DD found out he's not covered and it's $2k for a vasectomy (we got in a huge fight because he's been putting it off). FML. So, now I'm frantically researching what my options are, and I'm pretty sure I'm covered (we have diff insurance). My main concerns are affecting my milk supply and the hormonal shifts involved in tubal versus something like essure. Anyone found any good "crunchy" research on tubal lit options?
Anyone have their tubal ligation yet? My hubby was going to get a V until I ended up with another c section. The plan was to tie my tubes during my c section but we opted not to as my bp crashed. After we looked into my hubby's V we realized it wouldn't be covered after believing that it would, so it looks like I am up to bat. I am scheduled for a laporoscopic tubal on the 9th. Anyone have one of those procedures done yet? If so, how was the recovery?
