2. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
Anatomy scan on May 23rd and feeling the baby move!!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I think I'm finally starting to feel better!
4. GTKY: dogs or cats?
I love both, but only have cats. My two little love bugs enjoy walking on the baby and fighting for my attention. Lol. Hubby wants a dog but we're just not home often enough. It wouldn't be fair. So we pay lots of attention to my parents Beagle, who also enjoys jumping on the baby.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? appointment with my OB next Monday.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: The weather is supposed to be gorgeous today. Hoping to get outside for a long walk this afternoon.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) dogs all the way. I'm not a fan of cats.

BFP #4 1/2016, DD born 10/2016
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? 16 week OB appointment next Monday, then elective ultrasound next Wednesday!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm kinda bummed out about how little attention this new baby is getting. DS is still really young and everyone is super focused on him (including me) but it makes me a little sad thinking about how excited everyone was about that first pregnancy. This one? Meh, not nearly so much!
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Dogs all the way. We have an AWESOME cat but I feel like he's an exception. I also own a dog walking company and most days we have an extra dog or two running around the house. The picture below is my two Boston Terriers (in the front) and a client's BT in the back.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Second Tri! So close now. I think I'll go with the 13w3d math, just to get out of first quicker. Maybe it will convince my body to give me the mythical energy/not cruddy feeling? We shall see.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Pregnancy brain has set in- today I lost my bagels. I seriously cannot find them. I had two bagels left, and they are gone. I feel like the biggest moron- who loses a package of bagels? And all I want to eat is said bagels with cream cheese.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) both, but more so cats. Unfortunately I am severely allergic to both, so no furry critters for us at the moment. I am planning to try the allergy desensitization starting next year, although my allergist was very upfront to expect the full 5 years of treatment due to the severity of my allergies, and that there is no guarantee of the level of success.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? So excited to be in the second trimester! I'm looking forward to taking my two little guys for the ultrasound to find out if they're getting a brother or sister. Of course that would mean getting my act together and scheduling the appointment, right?
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm starting to relax and be able to enjoy being pregnant! Although I swear I'm sleeping more than I have since I was in college. I can't get enough sleep.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Both! I have a golden retriever that I love but my cat from high school will always be my favorite pet ever. It's really cool that my boys get to meet and play with him at my parents' house.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? This Friday!!!! Finally we get to have another ultrasound after a very long 6 week wait. We have an at home doppler which helps calm the nerves, but I just want the official doctor reassurance that everything is okay.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Rant: This past week I have been more sick than ever with nausea and vomiting. I thought it was supposed to get better around now. Fingers crossed I can make it through a meal without gagging soon. Rave: My husband is freaking amazing!! I saw a commercial for mint chocolate chip Klondike bars last night, and wanted one immediately. He went out to the store to get them for me. I was so appreciative and it was delicious!!!
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Cats!!!! At work so can't gif...but here's a pic from this past weekend of one of our cats passed out on the cable box.
15+6, one more day til I hit the 16 week mark
2. Next Milestone you're looking forward to? 16 weeks, and my U/S on the 22nd! I'm ready for some answers.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
We are getting a lot of much-needed rain, but I am terrified for storm season to kick off. Tornados seem so much scarier when you are pregnant and have kiddos to keep wrangled and protected =S
4. GTKY: Dogs or Cats? (bonus points for gifs!)
FALCOR!
2. Looking forward to Thursday's appt for maybe another peek at our peanut.
3. Rant today: really morning sickness? I thought you were leaving? Back with a vengeance is real jerk move!
4. I love both but our life is cats at the moment.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have an apt/US tomorrow and hopefully that will give me the reassure I need that this baby is here to stay.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I have a head/chest cold that I can't seem to kick and it's driving me crazy! But I finally feel like eating real food again and have started cooking again! Now if only someone else would wash the dishes....
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? ALL THE DOGS!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My anatomy scan on May 13.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm definitely feeling like myself again. I'm not eating as much like a garbage truck and have been working out consistently, which is very different from first trimester. I also had a fantastic check-up today and got to hear the baby's heartbeat and movements.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? Dogs, but I would have a cat too if my husband weren't allergic.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My OB appointment this afternoon. Lost a baby at 15 weeks so I'm just a ball of nerves waiting to hear the heartbeat.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Still nauseous and dry heaving all the time.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) I have 3 pitbull that I refer to as dum-dums.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? May 4th the anatomy scan
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I don't really have any this week. Just ready to hear my quad screen results.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!)
Both of course!!!

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have an appointment this afternoon
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm feeling normal. Energy is back and no morning sickness. It just worries me even though I shouldn't. So it will be nice to get a bit of relief this afternoon at my appointment.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Dogs!
2. ultrasound the 28 and one the 12. and finally confirming this bitty person is a girl
3. way less tired but now headaches and rlp have become annoying.
4. dogs over cats but we have neither. dh hates pets.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Hopefully getting the optional genetic testing results this week, and my 16-week appt Thursday. I'm not sure if they'll do an ultrasound but I hope to get another peek!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm trying not to sound extremely bratty (or pregzilla?) but since yesterday I've been getting exasperated with lots of questions about planning the baby shower. Realized I'm being bitchy mostly bc I'm still stuck in the hold-my-breath-for-a-heartbeat mode and that is clashing with openly planning ahead for the fun stuff...I guess it can't wait forever if I want anyone to show up when it's time!
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Both, each in their own special ways haha.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? regular appointment May 3, anatomy ultrasound May 27 - hoping I feel the baby before then!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm tired but have trouble sleeping. I wish I could sleep and be rested and then do what I need to, but instead I sit around too tired to be useful. So behind on stuff.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? GUINEA PIGS.
I love my cat, too. I feel like dogs would be WAY too needy.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Ultrasound on Wednesday and Anatomy scan on May 18th
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: loving this weather!
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Dogs!!!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Next ultrasound on 5/5!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: This weekend was so hot. It gave me a glimpse into this summer and I am not looking forward to the heat.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Both!!

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Making it to 13 1/3 weeks/the second trimester!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Hanging in and trying to continue to ride the positive vibes from our NT scan on Thursday. We're starting to spread the news widely which is a little scary to me, but there really was no more reason to wait to do it so we're jumping in. It has been nice to share the excitement, even if there is still a bit of nervousness.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) Cats. Totally cats. I love my nutty gray furball.
@krzyriver - Hooray for feeling better!
@PeggyOlsonFTW - Enjoy the nice weather! I can't wait for summer.
@kmalls - All the attention will even out in the end. You'll probably feel bad for "neglecting" your poor toddler when you have a newborn here who needs you all the time. But love multiplies -- it's not divided -- and both of your kids will get plenty of love and attention. :-)
@SuperNerd42 - We're so close to second tri! Can you believe it?
@lizzilou - Hooray for finally being able to relax a little! I'm hoping I will get there at some point but I don't think I'm quite there yet.
@Pupatella - Enjoy your ultrasound on Friday!
@AllytheKid - Enjoy your ultrasound!
@anna.oskar - Good luck at your appointment and hope you get a peek!
@kmolleltz - I'm so sorry that your appointment is a bummer. :-( Can you at least get a heartbeat check with a doppler or anything? I hope you can find some reassurance!
@depineta - Hooray for hearing a heartbeat!
@mtgreen21 - Hope you got to hear a wonderful heartbeat!
@ejmo68 - Hope your quad screen results come in soon!
@vanessa11411 - Hope your appointment went well!
@mrszoess - Glad you're feeling a little better!
@uponastar16 - Hope everything goes well this week and you get a peek at your little one!
@RainMira9e - Hope you can get some good sleep soon!
@Taffyt - Hooray for nice weather!
@Julia70286 - Stay cool!

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? anatomy scan.. which I'm going to schedule for about 2 weeks from now! WOOHOO
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Had my panorama test done today.. heard baby's heartbeat in the office.. Gained multiple pounds since last visit.. oops.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) ermmm.. i think cats are hilarious, but i do love my dog.. even though she can be annoying as hell sometimes..
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? We had our nuchal yesterday and it went awesome. Next up anatomy at 20 weeks!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: we have beautiful weather today. My head is killing me though:(
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) dogs. I'm sorry for you cat lovers, but I'm not a cat fan at all.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? early anatomy scan on tuesday and feeling the baby move (which should be soon!)
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: feeling good overall but, my belly is getting obviously bigger which is becoming harder to hide from my students.
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) dogs! (i hate cats, partially bc i'm allergic)
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My elective u/s on the 30th then the anatomy u/s between 18-20 weeks.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Just started my 2nd tri. YAY!!!
4. GTKY: dogs or cats? (bonus points for gifs!) LOVE both (especially Pugs, Pits & Rotties) but I have 2 Calico cats named Cali & Delilah (top to bottom respectively). Here's their pic (sorry it's huge):
The latest loss post really got me and I started to go to a bad place. I think I've put my mind at ease for now but she was exactly the same week/day as I am and I've just started to feel "safe".
Anyone else have guilt when you see someone who had a loss much later than yours? My loss was a very early CP and because it was my first pregnancy, I took it extremely hard. Since it was such an early loss, I almost feel guilty feeling sad about it or anxious about this pregnancy as a result when so many have had much later losses. Anyone else with me?

@MRSCORKER - it really threw me off too when I saw it, and I def can relate to what you're saying bc seeing a loss now make me think my last mmc at 8 weeks seem like it shouldn't have been so devastating. But each loss is different and is the worst thing ever for the person going through it...and they all can change how we think and feel about later experiences
@depineta - the doppler can be nice for some relief at times like this. Hope you can easily locate the melodic thumps of your LO later!
@kmolleltz - ugh, that's disappointing to miss a sneak peek when you get a chance. When's your next one? Maybe the kicks will start by then for a built-in way of checking on baby?
@ejmo68 - yay for your upcoming scan, and fx everything looks great and that you have a good time seeing how big and baby-looking they've gotten since week 7!
Yes. I discount my loss all the time because it was so early and because we knew something was up even before we got the BFP (I took a test because I was having odd bleeding, so from the very beginning we were aware that the pregnancy might not be viable). So sometimes I feel like it doesn't really "count" and I feel bad thinking of myself as a PGAL mom or getting worked up. I just try to remind myself that loss is not a contest. Everyone's experience is different, and just because someone had a later loss doesn't mean that you weren't affected by yours.

And in regards to the guilt feeling, as the others have said a loss is a loss. Your feelings are completely valid and a loss is devastating no matter when it happened.

I have been super emotional lately, but just seeing the headline, without clicking on the post, made me tear up.
I keep praying that we all stay on the healthy pregnancy path. Hopefully we will all get to meet our rainbow babies!!
