I'll be starting my second IUI soon. I'm on CD2 and will be starting clomid tomorrow (CD3-7) getting a saline ultrasound Tuesday and then the waiting begins...waiting to ovulate waiting to test.........waiting waiting waiting! This time I'm going to *try* to not get my hopes up too high and I'm not going to test until 14DPO. Wishing everyone luck!

@CooCoo4U excellent news on your follies and iui!! What are you doing to pass the time in your TWW?? I've been making myself crazy lol. Fingers crossed a zillion times for this month to be THE month for us!!!!!!

My baseline US looked good today. No cysts. Could have done without the "this would be a good IVF cycle" from my RE. I had 22 follies, but my insurance company sucks soooo...... IUI # 5 here we come. I'm usually ready on CD 12 for CD14 IUI, so we're looking at 4/26. @laur1212 I obviously haven't had positive results but I found that I was more relaxed when I did yoga every day, acupuncture once a week, and didn't obsess on the internet. I also didn't test before my beta which made me calmer in the TWW, but made the BFN more devastating. Just keep busy!

Ultrasound this morning. My lining was fairly thin and follies weren't where they needed to be.. back Monday for another u/s.

Has anyone ovulated really late after the trigger shot?! I'm feeling so devastated this morning. I triggered Tuesday night and had my IUI yesterday morning (36 hours after). Here it is 72 hours after my trigger and I still haven't felt anything...usually I have bad cramping followed by horrible bloating. DH suggested maybe it's different since I'm on a different med this time but my temperature was still low this morning. I peed on an opk and hpt to see if the trigger was even in my system...the opk was blazing positive but the hpt was just kind of so-so positive. I feel like I just wasted $2500 on this cycle for absolutely nothing

@laur1212 I think our cycles may line up similarly again! And I feel the same way, always waiting for something!

I got my baseline u/s yesterday and was told I had a cyst on my right ovary, but they did bloodwork and determined it was nothing to worry about thankfully. So I started Clomid again last night. I think Clomid makes me extra sleepy because it was sooo hard getting up this morning, and I remember feeling lethargic while taking it last time as well. I'm hoping it won't make me break out again this time :P DH and I started planning a vacation for end of May (should be after IUI#3 if we have to do that), so that gives me something nice to look forward to and think about instead of all the upcoming appointments and treatments! I also really need to get back into painting...DH bought me an easel and supplies for my birthday and I'm sure it would help during this whole process, I just need to force myself to make time for it.

Hey all! I'm a newbie here but I'm a long time TTCer. DH and I have been trying for 4 1/2 years and we had a miscariage in 2013 and one in 2014. We just did our 6th IUI (the 4th since my last miscarriage) on the 11th. My CD 11 bloodwork showed an estrogen level of 470 and on CD 13 my u/s showed 4 definitely mature follicles (1 on the left and 3 on the right), 1 that might catch up and 1 that was lagging behind. My lining was over 11mm too! So we're definitely hoping theres more than one egg in there.

Late to the party but it's been busy at work - which I guess is good in this 2WW. Definitely taking a different approach this time - not over analyzing every symptom, staying busy and basically trying not to think about taking a test on 4/24. Hope everyone is doing well!

@meli123k we are lining up again! I'm starting clomid tonight and it totally made me so tired! I actually haven't been able to get out of the lethargic haze yet! Hoping the nice weather will help! Can't wait for my saline ultrasound on Tuesday....fingers crossed it will help! It's so hard and stressful to schedule these appointments.

@Lin&say I don't use opks or temp charting so I don't have any advice for you. But I still wanted to send some well wishes your way because I know how financially straining this is. Hoping it was just a mild ovulation this round!

@meli123k Clomid makes me sleepy too. And gives me ridiculous hot flashes. Fx for lots of mature follies!

@byrneme Busy is good! I stayed busy and stopped obsessing last round and I felt so much more sane. It was still a BFN, but the TWW was more tolerable.

@laur1212 Fx for lots of mature follies for you too! Can I ask why your RE is doing a saline US? Just curious because mine only does it for IVF.

Hi Ladies, once again, I took a long break from here but had fun catching up with what is going on with everyone. I had my 2nd IUI on 4.6. @chicandbubbly I believe we "IUI'd" the same day. I am spotting today, which is kind of upsetting, hopefully it's just IB, feeling doubtful

I hope everyone is doing well and staying positive!!! I think of the ladies on this board often.

****TW**** not sure if it's because we fall into the category of unexplained secondary infertility but I honestly think he just wants to clear the path. I'm on board with whatever especially after reading some studies show increased fertility up to 6 mo afterwards (no sure how valid that is but makes me happy lol)

Hi Ladies- Back again!!! I had a successful IUI in October, but unfortunately we had a loss and ended up having a DNC at 9 weeks. But we are back on the baby making wagon again, and having another IUI hopefully next week! I've been having some trouble ovulating regularly since my loss (same issue as before) so I'm back on clomid and if I don't get a postive OPK by day 14, ovidrel injection. @srh18 the dreaded 2ww.....uggghhhhh.... I'm doing my acupuncture, prayers, strawberry ice cream and soaking up some sun. My vitamin D is low so prenatal and vitamin D has become my ritual. What have you been doing and how have you been feeling...I keep telling myself to relax and not think about it, easier said......

Sounds like a great plan @CooCoo4U! Today I had the day off and spent about 4 hours shopping

. I went to Trader Joes, Home Goods, TjMaxx, and Macys. It was nice just to take my time wandering around! Tonight we will be going to a friends house... trying to stay busy!

@Jsmorrissey yep we are on the same schedule! FX it is implantation bleeding for you. I haven't had as many symptoms as previous IUI's thankfully because it was awful, I had a bit of cramping today but nothing major! Hoping the next few days go by quickly for both of us!

Are you planning to test or only if AF doesn't arrive?

@coocoo4u ughhhhh I'm feeling defeated this go round but am doing my best to stay positive! Driving to Raleigh tonight for a wedding Saturday then flying to Cleveland Sunday for a baby shower (yay lol). I'm going to POAS on Tuesday with a FRER and then will probably cancel my beta (supposed to be Friday) if it's a bfn. Your plan of sun and strawberry ice cream sounds splendid!! I am trying no dairy (stupid PCOS) so eat some extra scoops--guilt free!!--for me please!!!! Know that I'm always thinking of you and sending positive vibes your way.

@Lin&say i stopped charting and opk once I started working with RE so i am not sure in respect to that fluctuation on meds but I can say that all 3 IUIs I had either mild or moderate cramping but that was due to different REs at time of IUIs and i remmeber one was a bit more rough and i had alot of cramping after. My REs say its bc of going through cervix not necessarily from ovulating since most woman cant feel that. I really hope this is the cycle for u!!!

update: just came home from my follow up ultrasound and RE wants me to trigger tonight and IUI tomorrow less than 36hrs but they are closed sundays and he rsther do a little early than too late. I only had 1 follicle mature

such a dissapointment thinking switching to injectables would be more aggressive and yield more follies. Crazy how our bodies are so different to each cycle and medications!! GL everyone

IUI#4 done no cramping this time really RE was super gentle and slow with it all. I will start progesterone suppositories on Weds (hate them!) and BETA on 4/30.

@girlryanne i have never tested out the trigger I wait to HPT day of BETA if its a weekend beacuse my clinic is closed wont give results until monday so same deal 4/30 i will go to hospital for Beta but take an hpt in morning and confirm those results monday. Theres nothing wrong with testing out the trigger some ladies ive seen on here get confused with results not truly believing them i guess thats why they say wait.

ahhhhh so i can finally have an iui. I have one follicle at 22.6 mm as of Thursday I triggered last night at 130 am and go for iui tomorrow. be there for 1030 procedure at noon! I'm excited answer scared. trigger shot is making me feel not so hot along with estrace. can't wait for tomorrow to come!!

Had IUI #5 today more cramping and feeling full in my stomach today then I did for IUIs 3 and 4. Hoping this is a good sign as IUI #2 ended as a chemical. Really hope this round works. We added injectables last round and finding the right dose was hard but this round went smoothly. Praying for my miracle. Drs want hcg blood drawn May 2nd. Here's to a long 2 weeks.

@tiffavis12 I am in the TWW with my 6th IUI and I have also had more discomfort post IUI than in past cycles. Hoping its a good sign for both of us! I hope your two weeks goes quickly!

AFM, I have a week left to wait! 7dpo today and I doubt I'll hold out until next Monday to test. I feel like testing over the weekend will prepare me either way and I can process it at home rather than dealing with it at work.

Why do you feel so defeated dear?? We're going to conquer this!! I don't feel like this round was successful for us either. What cycle day are you on? I'm on cd23 and not one symptom. I'm struggling with fighting the stress. I just don't know how to ignore my desire for my baby, especially when everywhere I go there's a parade of pregnant women.
Let me tell u... I work in a medical office. I see a distraught young lady, around 20y/o. As I try to comfort her ( she's inconsolable )she says she was just told that shes pregnant , 6wks and doesn't want the baby. I was so angry, and saddened at the same time....I cried the entire night. Smh, it isn't fair.....but we will beat this, and get our BFP soon sweety....pray and pray some more.

well I'm officially 1dpiui. yesterday after the iui I was so bloated and in so much pain (cramping) the nurse had a terrible time getting the catheter up my cervix she really had to force it in and took forever to do about a half hour of her pushing so I stayed in bed curled in a ball all day and night. feeling much better today though. I start progesterone at 1pm today.

LadyMillil so sorry to hear that hun. How many IUI's are you planning on doing?

@CooCoo4Uthanks! I am feeling pretty good emotionally this time. I am at peace with whatever the result is. Our chances of IUI working are really low- only about 5% so I am well aware that IVF may be in our near future.

I know that I WILL be really upset if this cycles fails though.

Good luck to everyone getting their IUI this week and hoping some of us get some good news this week as well

AF is due for me in about 3 days or so.

@chicandbubbly We are doing 3 IUIs before moving to IVF. We have the IVF consult next Monday to see if we will have time to do a cycle before we move cross-country in mid-late June.

I tested yesterday with a FRER (6 days before my missed period; advertised 75% accuracy) and got a BPN. I'm going to re-test tomorrow when the accuracy should be up above 99%, but not looking good so far

@chicandbubbly - I was 9dpiui on Sunday when I tested. I'll be 11 dpiui tomorrow - not feeling any symptoms at all either
