Symptoms/raves/rants? Tons of pelvic pressure, occasional cramping, occasional BH and lots of lower back pain. Baby's movements are jarring when he gets kicking!
Appointment update? Up to weekly appointments as of last week. I have one with the NP Wednesday (only time I'm seeing her in place of my OB).

Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long? My mom plans to come for a week or 10 days after the baby is born but isn't staying in our 2-br apartment. Then MIL will get her turn to come help... have to be fair to the grandmas
Symptoms/raves/rants? Baby's movements have definitely slowed down....so much so that I went into the hospital late Thursday night to be monitored. Thankfully, everything is fine. I'm feeling pretty good though, just uncomfortable at night and feeling a lot of pressure down there.
Appointment update? I had a quick check-up this morning. All good. I go back next week. Now that I think about it I forgot to ask how my GBS swab went since I had it last week...I'm guessing it was negative since my doc didnt mention anything.
Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long? My mom and MIL have already asked to help (mostly with my 2yo daughter).
Symptoms/raves/rants? Rants - Feeling baby move, of course! Rants - This back pain, though it's not due completely to baby, it's due to me hurting it.
Appointment update? I had one today! They did the GBS swab so I guess at my next appointment I'll know how that went. My next appointment is May 2 and then I start weekly appointments.

Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long? I was going to have my mom stay for a week, but now that she has a job that won't be happening. My DH will be home for a week and he can take a second week if need be. I am sure my MIL would me more than happy to come and help if I need anything.

9/15/2015: BFP HCG - 400, 9/17/2015: HCG - 827, 9/21/2015 - HCG 3,327!Symptoms/raves/rants? Pressure!! Sleep is non existent at this point, as is my patients for stupid people and their stupid comments
Appointment update? Tomorrow for my GBS (which has been rescheduled twice), cervical check, etc. Can't wait!
Questions for the group? My question is...would you like to hear my confession? This weekend I formally stopped racing the dog to the cat puke. Normally I at least go through the motions of trying to stop her, now I figure eh...she's going to outrun me anyway, and it's on the floor which is super hard to get to...so if she just cleans it up for me I see it as a win/win. Last night I heard the tell-tale sound from the cat, tapped the dog on the head and said "can you get that for me?" Because I'm awesome.
Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long? I will probably continue to enlist the dog for the above chore for awhile. Other than that, my mom is coming out for a few weeks, and my dad will come out briefly. And eventually I'm told my MIL will grace us with her presence...yay...
Symptoms/raves/rants? decreased appetite; general aches & pains in hips, back, and feet; fatigue; increasingly more intense and frequent BH; itchy skin; bloody nasal discharge; LO movements feel like they are going to rip me apart now

Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long? DH will have 3 weeks of paid paternity leave, so he will be around full-time initially. I just wish it was longer. We've already been through the whole hospital/recovery drill when I was involved in a serious accident about a year and a half ago, so I know he'll have my back. We're still debating whether or not he should use all of his paid leave in the beginning or take a week or two right after the birth and save a week or two for after I go back to work. He can take longer after he uses that, but it would be unpaid. Depending on how things go, he may end up taking some unpaid time.
My mom wants to fly in a week before my due date, but I am going to try to talk her out of it. I don't want her here that early because she would be staying with us, and that would mean she would likely be going to the hospital with us, and I don't want anyone but DH at that hospital until after the birth. She plans to stay a week or two, but we need to discuss specific dates because I don't want her overstaying her welcome, and I don't want to have to hurt her feelings by eventually kicking her out. She means well, but we don't always get along well, and I don't foresee her being particularly helpful (more like taking care of an infant + a toddler!).
MIL works for the school system, so she will have the entire summer off and plans to fly in right after the birth and stay (at their condo across town) and help until school starts back in the fall. It will be nice having her here because I foresee her being a big help without overstepping. And the fact that she won't be staying with us is even better!
Symptoms/raves/rants? Just tired and weak. I'm kind of amazed at my lack of stamina.
Appointment update? I'm in the weekly appt. phase right now. Last week was told he is head down but still high. We'll see if anything has changed when I go back on Wednesday.

Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long? Mom is coming right after birth, and she'll stay for 10 days. We'll take a short couple days' break and then DH's mom is coming. I am confident my mom will be great; DH's mom is kind of an unknown. I'm hoping she cooks a lot for us.

Symptoms/raves/rants? So many!
braxton hicks at least three times a day. I want to be stationary but I know moving is good. Moving also brings baby lower so I'm walking like a 1950's western star.
Appointment update? I'm up to the once a week appointments. Since I'm going to midwives they aren't checking me for dialating, they just ask me how I'm doing, give me tips for feeling better or natural induction, and then I move on. And of course it's the ONLY thing I really do all week since going on maternity leave so I'm thankful, but they're boring.

Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long?
Some women from church are going to bring us some meals (and we're kind enough to ask about our diet restrictions), my mom lives 20 minutes away so she can come by and help any time, and there's a free postpartum doula service in my town I plan on signing up for.
Symptoms/raves/rants? Contractions that don't amount to anything, exhaustion
Appointment update? Doc said I was 3 cm dilated last week. My next appointment is this Friday.

Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long? MIL and FIL will be in town for a couple of weeks after baby boy comes to help us wrap our heads around having 2 kiddos. After that, my mom is coming to visit for a few days.

My husband (as of this coming Thursday!) gets 6 weeks of paid paternity leave- so he will take 3 or 4 weeks right off the bat and then use the remaining time a couple of weeks after. My mom is planning on coming for a week or so once he goes back to work. My dad is flying up from Florida for 8 days 2 weeks after my due date. And then my MIL (as of this coming Thursday
Symptoms/raves/rants? Serious rib pain. My boobs leaked so bad in the night I had to change the sheets.
Appointment update? Appointment coming up next Monday. I think this is the first of the weekly appointments.

Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long? I had too much help, that didn't help last time so it will be just DH and I and I am really looking forward to that.
Symptoms/raves/rants? Back pain. Contractions. Pelvic pressure. Baby dropped more. General discomfort. Nausea. Dizziness. Only the fun stuff here.
Appointment update? Thursday. Dilation checks begin.

Symptoms/raves/rants? Comfort is at an all time low. Insomnia is back and I'm still waiting for this whole "nesting energy" to kick in. Baby wiggles make up for it though!
Appointment update? I'm pretty sure I have a lab appt to check platelet count this week, BUT I didn't write it down and we got heavy storms so everything was closed today. Therefore, I may or may not be missing an appointment if it is tomorrow. Normal OB appt is next week

Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long?
Currently we have my BIL and my brother living with us so they'll be a major help. My parents are coming down when baby is born for possibly a couple weeks and then my in laws will come stay with us for awhile.
Symptoms/raves/rants? Mostly still raves at this point. Five weeks to go and feeling decent, although I could do without the random third-tri nausea and the fact that my feet went from a size 8.5 to a 10, like, overnight.
Appointment update? I had a regular OB check-up yesterday and will apparently go weekly from now on. We have our 36-week ultrasound in six days to take a peak at the placenta previa situation. Hoping everything is resolved!

Who are you enlisting to help you after birth and for how long? My husband will work from home for a week. My mother-in-law lives in our hometown and is literally a two-minute drive from our house, and my mom lives about 15 minutes away. We will have lots of assistance...and food deliveries. I feel so lucky.

So I called out of work... Had some toast which helped a little, trying to rest and pulled out some homemade chicken soup from the freezer for later. Hope it goes away soon!!
Appointment: tomorrow, so if I'm not feeling better I'll be seeing the dr soon anyway.

Who's helping? My mom is flying in from the UK to stay w/me for 2 months to cook for us (she makes the most delicious and healthy meals ever) and help out w/ the baby. I'm glad she can take the time because it will be so reassuring to have her around!
Symptoms/raves/rants? My left ankle is officially a severe cankle. Right is not as bad. Doc isn't concerned. I'm feeling super sexy as I bump up to my cotton hanes big girl underwear.
I did initiate sexy time with DH the other day and the first thing to come out of his mouth was "are you seducing me so that you go into labor sooner?" Lol - can't a girl just want to be intimate?! Guess the sexy underpants weren't working
