Raven for a girl

DH and I were just talking about names, and he said he liked Raven. It's always been a guilty pleasure name for me, but what does everyone think? Too trendy, weird, naturey...etc? 
We were thinking it would need a really basic, simple name to kind of balance out the uniqueness of Raven. 
Thoughts?

    It's fine but NMS.  Reminds me of Raven Simone.

    My cousin has a little girl named Raven. It's nms, but no problem with it really.

    I personally don't really like it and I would think it was a little weird. Just reminds me of That's So Raven.

    I didn't even know about That's So Raven until my husband mentioned it! :) 

    I know it's different, but my main concern is shackling my daughter with a weird name she'll hate and that is really strange. If it's just a "meh, different or NMS", that's fine, I just wouldn't want her to be side eyed!

    The name itself is NMS, but I don't have any issue with it, either. "Raven Elaine" came to mind as a possible pairing (if you're considering Raven for a girl). I would personally avoid using a very basic name in the MN slot.

    The name is ok. With a somewhat untraditional name like that I personally wouls you a very classic MN (Elizabeth, Ann, Claire) to provide an alternative name for the child as a alternate as adults should it be necessary.

    I think Raven is a fine name. I don't consider it out there or unique.

    Ugh...I guess I'm in the minority in finding it a bit out there, but it's not terrible. My first thought was "Quoth the raven, nevermore!," so middle school English class might be annoying for her. ;)

    I don't love or hate it. It is one of
    those names though that gives off a
    certain image and personality to me so for example I would be shocked to meet a Raven with blonde hair blue eyes that was super quiet and reserved.

    Thanks for the input, everyone! It's definitely unusual, but I mainly didn't want to give my daughter a name that would have people side eyeing her, (or us) lol, for giving her a horrible name! 
    We'll have to find a good middle name for it and see what we think next to our current other top pick, which is Erin Kimberly.
