Oh oh I'll play!

Kaia is our golden-something (we were told doodle, but clearly she's more miniature golden with slightly 80s crimped hair). We love her so much and she was our adopted baby after our two both got hit by cars Christmas Eve night. Ruger is our German shepherd - PUPPY - that some days I regret getting and other days laugh so hard at and love so hard! I have always had German shepherds and I love them so much, but one of the pups that got hit was my golden boy, Midas, and he had my heart. So it may have been too soon to get Ruger. We saved him though, they were selling them at 4 weeks old

Hubby and I don't currently have any fur babies (living in a one bedroom apartment until next February). But this is Obi-wan (like from Star Wars) my parents two year old pitbull boxer mix, he was my shadow when I still lived with my parents and follows me around whenever I visit. He is the sweetest little cuddle bug. Sorry if the pics are huge I've never posted pics on here before.

The first is our doberman Apollo. He's super sweet and loves to cuddle. He's also very protective of me, which is nice. The second pic is of our shepherd/retriever mix Xena. She's only a year old and very high energy but really sweet too.

This is Josey. She is the sweetest and she definitely thinks she is human. She loves to sit with me like this in crowded rooms with lots of people. Love all the fur baby pictures! They really are a part of our family

This is my very sleepy puppy, Sirius Black. He's a very needy boy who has serious anxiety if he's alone so we started dropping him off at doggy day care while we go shopping, so he's very worn out from last night's play session! And the one below was from our announcement

*Trigger Warning*

So, I have 2 fur babies (both Australian Shepherds), but I'm only going to talk about this one today. This is Kohda and he is my baby. He's 7, and he's a 60 lb lap dog. He loves to cuddle, he is protective of my daughter and I, and he is just a big old goofball.
We just found out he has cancer and tumors on his spleen. He is undergoing surgery tomorrow with a splenectomy and some biopsies. I am a nervous wreck. He's only half way thru is life and I can't imagine bringing this baby into this world without him here.
Sorry for the sad post.

@mrskratt we had to put our other sweetheart down before the other two got hit, due to old age and constant pain. It was a rough month. I know how hard it is to love a pup so much and have things be out of your control. Fingers and toes crossed that all goes well tomorrow for your fur baby. Nothing like them in the world. *hugs*

This our boy Tank, he is a rescue and is almost 3. He is the kindest pittie, he's so lovable and I have yet to see him be mean to anyone. He makes friends fast! How can you not love that face!! Pit Bulls are natural nanny dogs, I'm so curious how he will be with is brother or sister. I'm sure he'll be protective like he is of me.

@mrskratt I'm so sorry you're going through this! Our fur babies love us so unconditionally and ask for nothing in return except love. It's so hard to see them go through pain when they don't deserve it! Thinking of you and your family and sending good vibes that all goes well for Khoda!!

@sportiegrl1213 Pitties get such a bad rap! They're the sweetest, gentlest, most protective dogs - always breaks my heart when they get picked on. Glad yours is loved hard.

Here's my munchkin Flynn - stole my heart the day we rescued him last June. He'll be 1 at the end of the month (and yes, I plan on getting him a doggie cake and everything), but he's still all puppy and into everything! Doesn't matter though, he's my baby boy and one flash of those eyes and I can't be mad.

P.S. he's half dachsund, half chihuaha - so he's a chi-weenie!

This is my princess, Cassi (Cassiopeia). She has lost a lot of hair, but I still think she's beautiful. She's not doing too well - she has liver problems that mean anesthesia could kill her, so they can't really do more tests, but we're keeping her alive as long as possible on pain meds for maintenance and hand feeding to help keep her weight up. I'm still hoping she'll rally, but chances that she'll still be around to see the baby are slim. It's sad because we've had guinea pigs for so many years, but she's the last one. We decided not to keep getting more because of the heartbreak, but it feels weird to think our child won't have guinea pigs around.

Love this thread! Otis is our 5-yr-old snuggly, mischief-inclined puggle. He was abused before being abandoned and picked up by a shelter, so he has a lot of little quirks, but we love him anyway!

We have 3 dogs and 2 cats but I will start with the oldest today. This is Sophie, my 8 year old German Shepherd. She is the first pet that I can call my own and I got her right after I graduated college. She is super sweet! Unfortunately, she has pretty moderate hip dysplasia and is moving more slowly these days but she still loves to chase balls. This is my fave picture of her from a few years ago.
