April Symptoms

Re: April Symptoms

  • Okay so .. Period type cramps in lower stomach and back that feel like I could shit myself .. Trying to poop and see if they go away, but I read that can be a sign of pre term labor?! You know just being a first time mom and worrying. I willll call L&D if they don't go away,  but I also figured I'd post on here for any insight

Definitely call. I hope it's nothing and you really just need to poop!

  • Okay so I pooped... But the cramps continue. Feels like they're getting worse really. I called and they told me to relax and drink a lot of water and to come in if they aren't better by 2
  • Oh no! Hoping all is ok @maddmama
  • Hope they stop soon @maddmama ! I have had some crampyness on and off and so far it has always been resolved either by pooping or by chugging a fuck-ton of water and laying down for awhile. I hope that's the case for you too! Feel better and keep us posted if you can!
  • Thinkin' of you @maddmama and hoping the cramps subside!

@stellaluna14 I get the crampyness too usually sleeping and I swore it isn't round ligament pains but wanting to "poo" pains and sure enough re-positioning myself and having a bathroom moment made it all better. Feel better love!

  • @Jodi1980 yeah I feel great now, just every once in awhile I get a weird crampy feeling and those are my go to things to try before getting too worried. So far they have worked every time but it's definitely always disconcerting to feel anything weird, especially when you've never gone into labor before and you can only imagine what it might feel like.
  • I'll definitely keep you updated. Still drinking water and waiting to see if it goes away. They are just the worst period-type cramps I've ever felt. I've pooped twice now, btw.
  • Thinking of you @maddmama !
  • thinking positive thoughts for you @maddmama !!!

Definitely stay on top of that.  Strong period cramps seem like something to take seriously.  Let us know!  Positive thoughts for you.
  • Thinking of you @maddmama!
  • @maddmama did you eat anything weird/different? Could they be upset stomach cramps?

  • @maddmama thinking of you! I hope everything's ok.
  • Thinking of you, @maddmama! <3 Sounds a lot like what I was going through last week. I ended up coming down with a wicked stomach bug for five days. Went into L&D just to be sure, though, because I also had some spotting. FX it's just minor and passes soon!
  • @maddmama Happy to hear you and LO are OK!!
  • @maddmama glad to hear everything is okay!
  • @maddmama I'm glad you got it checked out but I'm sorry you're still in pain.

  • glad all seems ok @maddmama put your feet up and have some ice cream  ;)
  • Glad there is no pre labor @maddmama!!!!!
  • Leg cramps like no other! Omg so painfull!! Peeing every 5 min, so thirsty, back pain, cramping, I had a migraine for the first time the other day. Rib pain. Idk how I'm gonna get any bigger! I feel huge
  • I think the baby is trying to get cozy within my ribcage now. I have been having pain in between my ribs on my back for a couple days now, and recently it's on the front too. I really think baby is just climbing up inside there! Tylenol wasn't helping at all, but a heating pad does seem to work...maybe the heat makes baby climb back down!

I've had numerous people tell me that I still don't look pregnant, so I really wish baby would just grow OUT instead of UP!

  • The hemorrhoids. Oh the hemorrhoids. I actually cried out in pain from them today. Tucks and Prep H are doing nothing. I might need to try this padsicle thing. Is there anything a doctor can prescribe for this? Or are we on our own?
  • @maddmama a little late seeing your posts but I'm glad everything's alright!
  • @maddmama Damn you, Steak n' Shake! I'm glad it's not labor! Take it easy!!

  • @stellaluna14 yay!!! I'm so glad it's helping!

  • I know shortness of breathe is normal, but I had asthma prior to being pregnant and it's gotten so severe. I'm literally laying in bed dizzy because I feel like I can't get enough air. I don't want to assume it's a bigger problem than it is by going to the ER. Plus it comes and goes about every 30 minutes so I don't want to look stupid walking into the ER perfectly fine and saying I'm having breathing problems. I've already used my inhaler and tried all these different positions to lay in. Any other ladies dealing with asthma that can reassure me I'm ok or let me know otherwise?
  • @victoria98 my asthma has been an asshat this entire pregnancy. I'm using my inhaler daily, and still not getting a ton of relief. I think it is difficult to differntiate asthma symptoms and lungs running out of room. It sucks, and it makes me paranoid. When in doubt I use my inhaler. If it doesn't work, I just assume baby is sitting up higher.  Hope you can breathe easier!

Also, if your breathing really is struggling to where you are seeing stars and getting dizzy, I suggest going in. If momma isn't breathing, baby isn't getting air. You may need a breathing  treatment to help loosen things up.

I've been suffering this wk too. My mom made me some padcicles which seem to be the only things that really provide some relief. I spoke with my OB's nurse, and there's really not much else to do. I also bought a donut cushion from the elderly aisle at Walgreens which has allowed me to sit somewhat comfortably at work.

@maddmama Glad to hear they weren't contractions! Sorry Steak n Shake is doing you wrong. :-(
  • @maddmama glad to hear you and baby are ok! Tell that child THE TIMER DIDN'T GO OFF YET :p ! Hope the tylenol is making you feel better! xo

  • I went jogging/walking last night to enjoy the nice weather we are finally having. Yea, that whole pelvis ripping in half thing PP's have been mentioning... totally a thing.
  • @victoria98 I have asthma too, but it hasn't gotten that bad. I'm sorry :/ If your rescue inhaler isn't helping those serious symptoms I deff agree getting help is necessary! Like blissy said, if you're not getting enough air neither is baby! Don't worry about going into the doc and them saying its nothing or not as serious as you thought. I literally thought I was having contractions yesterday because of the pain and found out it was just bad RLP and my joints loosening. They gave me a support belt and told me I'm otherwise fine. It turned out to not be a big deal at all, but now we have these little babes in there and just have to be sure.
  • @maddmama late catching up but glad all's well.
  • Just got home from the doctors. I'm 26 weeks. Woke up this morning with brown clumpy discharge. Called my doc and they said why don't you come in. She checked me out, not dilated at all. She tapped my cervix with a qtip and I started bleeding. She said everything is fine not to worry and sent me home with a pad. It's been an hour and I'm still bleeding. they literally just checked baby and he's great and I'm not dilated at all. Still so unsettling. Anyone has a dramatic cervix that freaks out after being touched ?

@breanneestafford1 no experience but did she say how long the bleeding will continue?
