Hi ladies, I'm wondering if anyone can share their thoughts or experiences related to what I'm going through at the moment. Late last week I just felt that I was pregnant even though I would have only been several days past ovulation. I did a frer on Saturday and Sunday, both faintly positive. And I mean, they were squinters lol.
This morning I went to my doctor and had a blood test done. When I got home I (stupidly) thought I would use the last frer I had left, because, why not. Well the second line came up immediately. It's faint, still a bit of a squinter but far more obvious than the ones from the weekend. Then 2 hours later my doctor called and said my pregnancy blood test was negative! I'm so confused! she said my hcg level is less than 0.5 (or 5, whatever it's meant to be lol!). If it's that low on a blood test, how on earth am I getting even a faintly positive frer?!
The new frer design is known now for indent lines which look like squinters. Go with your doctors diagnosis. A blood test is more reliable than a at-home

I'm assuming it's a chemical pregnancy. Which isn't much better than indent lines really, considering this will be my second chemical in three months. They definitely weren't indent lines as they were pink. Faint but definitely pink and identical to what my positive tests looked like with my two successful pregnancies.
My doctor rang back and said to have another blood test in a week if AF hasn't come (due tomorrow). Thanks for your input ladies.

Not necessarily. I had a FRER do that once before, there was an extremely faint (but pink) line... Yet when I got my beta HCG drawn later that day and it was 0. Also, both of my chemicals showed positive HCG on blood tests- I think the first was HCG 12 and the second was HCG 10. Your HCG is negative (anythinng under 5 is negative). Sorry the FRER got your hopes up.

I also wouldn't jump to that conclusion. I had a faint (pink) line on a straight handled FRER and wasn't pregnant. It can happen with this brand. Also - a chemical pregnancy definitely isn't better/comparable to an indent line.
I'd use a little sensitivity before wording it like that around here, there are other women who may read this post on the board, who have had chemical pregnancies and might find those comments hurtful.
@indigoskys please do NOT just "assume it's a chemical pregnancy". You're just borrowing trouble. Being part of the loss/mc club is not a fun one. Don't add yourself to this club when there is no reason to do so. Even if it was a chemical you would have some hcg in your blood. You had none. The tests you took must have been defective or you were simply seeing a line that wasn't there. I'm sorry you aren't pregnant when you "just felt like you were" but its offensive to is loss moms for you to just assume you're having a miscarriage when the blood test clearly says you were never pregnant.
Sorry, but why the heck would you assume it's a chemical pregnancy if you had a negative hcg blood test?

I had 4 positive FRER's last cycle + positive digi, and a negative blood test 2 days later when It was drawn (it was a 10, they count under 25 as negative) bleeding started 3 days after my blood draw and didn't stop completely for 3 weeks, doctor confirmed it as a very early loss (4wks 5 days)
Go back and have another blood test if no bleeding starts in a few days.
If the level was a 5 then it could very well have been a chemical and your levels were dropping by the time you had the blood draw, if it was 0.5 then you're just implying a loss where there shouldn't be one.

I dont think you know what a chemical pregnancy is. If you were any sort of pregnant, your blood test would have been positive. And if you think a chemical pregnancy is equivalent to an indent line I don't think you've ever had a chemical pregnancy either.

So much of this! And, I agree with the PP who said if your level was 5, it could have been a CP but if it was .05 there is no way.
"I'm assuming it's a chemical pregnancy. Which isn't much better than indent lines really"
Indicating that although it isn't much better, a chemical pregnancy is somewhat better to an indent line.
@knburrus this board consists of a lot of very sensitive women who spend a lot of time answering questions and supporting each other AND protecting each other from insensitive comments. You have not participated in this community until now and so you are highly unqualified to describe the nature of these women.
Just a bunch of rude women being snotty and insensitive to someone asking for help. Not a big deal at all

WK has returned. FYI, name calling, which is what you're doing, is rude. Claiming to have a loss when there is no evidence that you were ever pregnant is offensive to loss moms.
What did I miss? What was against the TOU in all of those posts?
@PaukMeKiande Nothing, really. A WK used some slightly inappropriate language. I think bc we all quoted her the BG took them all down. Not really sure, I didn't think it was that bad, she was just being rude, but I've seen way worse on here.
@PaukMeKiande The second TOU is still showing up in ladymillil's quote. I didn't see the first one but I'm imagining it was something along the same lines. If the WK want's to give us a 3rd I think that will be her gone so WK please do.

If your blood test says you're not pregnant, you are not pregnant at this time.
Chances are - it's an indent line.

If you were pregnant the blood test would have picked it up.
Unless your test lines can be seen without squinting, I would not even count them.
