1. I've been reading this thread all afternoon instead of reading work things 2. I want to join the eating dates club, but it's such a creepy looking fruit 3. My friend worked from home at my house today and played with the dogs, they will be so tired!!! 4. I have been having on again/off again mild headaches all day 5. There is a track meet today, but they are too far away and I'm pregnant and lazy so I'm not going. I hope the jumpers do well though 6. My bff had her baby yesterday and she is so cute!!! 7. One month until my due date!!! 8. Last week of baby class this week. DH is the champion fake baby dresser 9. Maybe I will start packing my hospital bag tonight 10. I should also make an Amazon cart of all the things I might need post partum. Good idea ladies!
1. I went to the grocery store to get six things and it was exhausting. What the heck? 2. Cleaned out my car! Now just gotta clean out DH's car and install the seats. 3. I'm going out of town this weekend (2 and a half hours away for a conference) so I'm hesitant to pack my birth center bag. I think I'll do it when I get back and have no more trips in my future. 4. Maternity leave without a baby is a little boring...I mean, crazy thankful I get to do whatever I want for a few weeks before baby gets here, but there's only so many times you can clean a house. 5. I'm in constant communication with baby about when it would be okay to come or not. Like "no don't come now cuz I just washed my hair and I'd have to blow dry it before going to the birth center" or "not right now buddy cuz I just woke up" or "now would be fine cuz I ran my errands and did the dishes". 6. Walking is dumb. It's just the worst. 7. Someone (pregnant) sent me a thing about how the last month of pregnancy is like when Homer went on disability for being obese on the Simpson. 100% accurate! 8. I have a rash on my underarms. I use natural deodorant and only shave about once every two weeks. 9. They dedicated a baby at church last Sunday. Can't wait till my baby gets dedicated! 10. I'm ready, let's do this baby having!!
My too negative 10 things: 1. My 3 yr old woke up covered in hives, no idea why! 2. Just for extra fun, I had a huge gushing nose bleed today (which I remember happening when I was pg with my 1st son, 11 years ago, but hasn't happened since!) 3. Pregnancy insomnia kicked my butt last night (which is why I answered a ton of posts on here at 4 am, lol!) You can all be like, shut up DanandVan, its ok, I deserve it! 4. Had what will prob be our last date for awhile with my husband over the weekend. Had a lovely time at dinner, and then the jacka$$ RUINS it by picking a fight about my will-be post partum body, which as you can imagine went over really well with me. If I told you the things he said, you'd be hunting him down with a pitch fork. He apologized later, and said he doesn't know what caused him to say those things. Whatever, jerkface. 5. In good news, my bff is due 2 weeks after me, and it has been so much fun to go through this together. 6. I've been eating my 6 dates a day! My faves: stuffed with peanut butter and dipped in chocolate, chopped dates in oatmeal, and bacon wrapped dates. Trying in a smoothie next! 7. In nesting mode, FINALLY! Got all the baby clothes washed and put away. Lots more to do still... 8. Gained 6 lbs in the last 2 weeks. Midwife thought about saying something (I could tell) and changed her mind. This is my 4th pg and I know my body just gains 40 lbs everytime. 9. Speaking of midwife, so so so happy that I switched Dr's at 34 weeks. The midwife group is so supportive of letting me vbac, and have just been all around awesome. 10. The big stress is that the practice/hospital is an hour away, more with traffic. Also, husband works like 10 min away from said hospital but if I go into labor during the week, he will have to come home (90 min on train), turn around and drive me back. Should I just call an uber driver or something!? My dad lives nearby and might be able to drive me, but I don't think he could handle seeing me in labor! It would be too weird!
I have an OB appointment today and I really want to skip it. I am not in the mood to go and deal with this woman talking about my weight again.
So last night at 2am I woke up feeling awful. I felt hot and shivery at the same time, had the worst heartburn I have ever had and I thought I was going to throw up but it didn't happen. I must have sat on the bathroom floor for 30 minutes waiting and then of course I was stuck in that narrow room on the floor and it took me about 5 minutes to stand up.
I got my Flu and tDap last Friday and while the flu arm looks a lot better the other arm had a huge, super dark bruise on it! DH keeps asking me to wear a t-shirt so it won't look like abuse...did I mention its real big. Anyone else have a bruise from the tdap?
My perennial varicose veins are finally starting to fade. hopefully I can get them to go away completely before the birth. I can't imagine tearing there with this issue in full swing . . .
1. Stayed home from work yesterday because I felt like it- even though this is my last week! yesssss
2. I almost stayed home today too because it was raining and I slept like crap- but I forced myself to go in.
3. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond during lunch today to buy a replacement salad spinner and I purchased some nipple cream as well- joy!
4. I then went next door to Whole Foods and bought half a loaf of sourdough bread, butter and a large slice of strawberry shortcake- God help me and my appetite lol.
5. I'm getting married next week!
6. My older cat has been a pain in my behind lately- he keeps jumping in the crib and knocking stuff over. My younger cat just watches him in disgust.
7. I'm trying to plan out my nesting activities for the 2 weeks prior to my due date that I will be home from work- unless of course the little guy decides to come early.
8. I've really been liking the Pillsbury Flaky Cinnamon Rolls lately and I really would like to have them for dinner tonight...
9. I just started watching The Walking Dead from season one and I am addicted! Currently on the 3rd season
1. I was afraid to open the Bump app today because last night it kept getting hijacked by ads where I needed to complete a survey to claim the $100 gift card that I was eligible for. I couldn't get out of them! It seemed like a virus.. 2. My husband told me last night that he hopes our daughter wears onesies forever because they're adorable and he'll even buy her designer ones so no one makes fun of her in high school. I told him onesies typically end around age 2 and he said "No I think like 8th grade." 3. It's adorable to see how excited my husband is about our daughter. He hasn't really ahown the excitement until very recently. 4. Work over the past two weeks has been crazy. It always sucks coming back from taking time off, even one day, because I feel like I have so much to catch up on. But it's also spring time and our clients get antsy and inyo shenanigans in the spring. I've had two go into custody this week already. 5. I also found a secret cell phone in the sober living home by dumb luck today - I moved a picture away from the wall and it dropped out from behind. I was training my replacement for maternity leave when it happened and it blew her mind. 6. I washed and folded baby clothes and her bedding Sunday finally, but I still need to put everything away. The nursery is a disaster after our shower. 7. Maternity pictures this weekend and it's supposed to be in the 70s! I'm so excited the weather will be good. 8. I found out yesterday why one should never go grocery shopping while pregnant and hungry. Terrible, terrible decisions. (But all totally worth it.) 9. I started my 10 things at about 11:30 this morning...it's now 7pm. Because another crazy work day. 10. Mellow yellow has been a craving lately. Super random but delicious!
@valeria4786 I made that same mistake. I went to Big Lots on Saturday mainly to look for a new 12" pan. I left with Nutella, protein bars, and other stuff. Today I went in for toothpaste and ended up leaving with candy and more protein bars. At least the protein bars are somewhat healthy. lol The candy will last me forever, I don't know why I keep buying candy because I already have a ton of it.

1- finally heard back from the church in our neighborhood. We are not parishioners but they will still allow her to be baptized. So now just have to determine if we went to do it or not.
2- had my work shower today. It was nice to have a celebration for me and baby.
3- weekly growth scan tomorrow!!
4- my cat has been following me around the house since I got home. I'm convinced I'm going into labor and she is warning me
5- tired of all my clothes. I want to be back in normal clothing. And I want to shop soooooooo badly!!
6- got all the way out of the office and almost on the subway tonight before realizing I left my jacket at work. Baby brain + hot flashes....
7- annual review at work on Thursday. I'm a bit nervous only because I feel like my boss thinks I'm not doing enough recently.
8- speaking of which boss told me the plan for my ml. She has to move the whole team around to cover my areas for 12 weeks. Sad that my assistant that has been here for 2 years can't step up to the plate.
9- I'm tired and going to bed after this
10- watching shark tank (like I do every night). Why can't I think of something to make me a millionaire?!?!
1. I love my dogs, but I'm getting tired of having to be the bad cop all the time. I'm trying to implement a no couch or bed rule so they will be used to it by the time LO gets here. I've been trying to work on this for over a month and DH keeps undermining my authority b/c he feels sorry for them. I've caught him undermining my authority. Really all it is teaching them is they can get away with stuff when around DH. I've seen it in action. ex. Vegas will not get on the couch if I am the only one here, but as soon as DH sits down on the couch he is attempting to get up there . And tonight I found that DH has snuck Toby onto the bed with him. Right now I"m trying to make it so Vegas is the only one with bed privileges b/c we still have to figure out where to put his crate. 2. I am so ready to evict this baby. She is measuring three weeks ahead. 3. I wish my DH would do more around the house instead of complain that I don't do enough. Or he complains that we eat out too much. Yet he knows that by the time I get off work I am too tired, exhausted, and in pain to fool with really cooking. He is capable of doing it. Or he tells me that the dishwasher needs to be unloaded and the loaded with the stuff piled in the sink. Ummmm hello what the hell is stopping you from doing it? 4. I've been listening to the Backstreet Boys a lot here lately. 5. I wish it were possible to put a car seat in the truck after LO gets here. I love driving the truck. I can actually see the road. I'm short so when I'm in a car I feel like I'm looking through the steering wheel sometimes. Whereas in the truck I can see the road perfectly. 6. My get up and go got up and left. I am now deciding what stores to go to on how far their bathrooms are from what I need to get. Sad really. 7. I'm losing my mind. 8. The state of NC sucks due to how much redtape there is to try to sell a car and put a lien on it until it is paid off by the buyer. 9. H&R Block gave us a bib for the baby that says Newest Tax Deduction. It was cute. 10. We had our shower recently. For the most part people stuck to the registry. I can't get over the amount of clothes we received though. Not complaining. I just hate those stupid little plastic tags you have to cut off. I mean there were a couple of baby blankets on a hanger. Each blanket had anywhere from eight to ten of those stupid plastic tags. Just when you think you can take it off the hanger, a plastic tag appears. Ugh!!!!! 11. I didn't want to tell anyone this at the shower, but my favorite things we got were some handmade baby blankets. I'm a sucker for for handmade (crocheted, knitted) blankets. I'm weird I guess.
@nerdymama15 I was cutting tags off clothes and washcloths the other night and complaining to DH about all of the plastic tags on everything! lol I kept telling him it really wasn't necessary and it's such a waste. I don't think he felt my pain. One of my favorite things given to us were homemade blankets too. A lot of thought and a lot of time go into those, if someone makes you a blanket you must be special to them. My aunt through marriage made us a beautiful blue blanket with green trim and my cousin made us this amazing blanket with super soft fabric that I am IN LOVE with. I had no idea she could even make stuff like that!!!
