I really dislike ella, so I vote for Genevieve, (though Geneva might be a less matchy option for you ) despite a near fairy tale quality to siblings Genevieve and Vivienne.
My vote is for Violet. Even though they begin with the same letter, I think they have a different feel, whereas Vivienne and Genevieve (though both lovely names) feel very similar.
Jacqueline if Genevieve is too flowy with Vivienne? Violent is too match and Ella doesn't age well imo. It's tough because you have such a formal name for DD1, modern name for DS, that I can't figure out the name that works in the middle.
Thanks for all the input! Hubby just threw out Violet and is dead set on convincing me on Genevieve. I do LOVE the name but have some hesitation that it is too similar to Vivienne. Hubby says they are completely different and many people name their kids all with the same letter. Plus he reminds me that she will not go through life being asked what her sisters name is
Ella is cute but Vivienne is so much stronger and more elegant, it would be unfair to name this baby girl Ella. Genevieve and Violet are both lovely and I don't feel either is too matchy.
Re: Naming our third
I would avoid another V name especially since it's not a common letter name so I wouldn't use Violet
Ella is popular but classic and got my vote
