It seems like most of my symptoms faded. I wasn't feeling nauseous anymore and then Sunday right when I had to take my dog to obedience class it hit.

symptoms include: occasional nausea and sore boobs, constipation, fatigue, bloating, gas, food aversions and cravings, emotional, probably more that I can't think of right now.

overall all of my symptoms have been pretty mild with the exception of bloating.

  • Progress (week/day): 10+2

Symptoms: Nausea seems to finally be gone (most of the time).  Still have strong food and smell aversions, though.  Those seem to be the only things that trigger nausea (see R/R/Q below).  My boobs are still so so so sore, and nips are like "turkey's done!" all the time regardless of temperature.  I feel like I have to cover them up to hide them all the time, but touching them hurts like a bitch!  Thank goodness for padded bras, even though I certainly don't need the extra size right now!

Rants/Raves/Questions: The other night, my husband leaned over to kiss me goodnight, and I smelled beer on his breath and immediately had to run to the bathroom.  Then I bawled my eyes out because I'm tired of making him sleep in the guest room.  He was super sweet and understanding about it, but I really cannot handle not being able to sleep next to him after he eats or drinks certain things much longer!  Also, on the happier side of things, my family still has absolutely NO IDEA, so I'm getting pretty excited about announcing to them soon!

  • Progress: apparently I'm 10+1? I thought my ticker changed on Mondays. Strange. Oh well. Anyways, baby is the size of a strawberry! Woohoo

Symptoms: fatigue but not as bad now. Nausea has left the building! Pretty much no symptoms now except hunger 24/7 and RLP.

Rave: I get to find out the gender next week!

@Des321My weekly update said strawberry too, but my signature ticker says prune!  I like strawberries much better, personally.  :)

  • I noticed they changed the fruits on the app yesterday, I like the strawberry better too :p
  • I'm 8+2 and I have all day nausea. My day revolves around eating. I will choke something down and I have approximately one hour before the pangs and nausea start again. Everything makes me gag and nothing ever sounds good.

Question: I know MS is completely different than a hangover but I've been debating forcing myself to vomit just to see if I can eat more successfully? The other day I puked and I felt so much better, ate a full meal, and the nausea stayed away for a solid 3 hours. I know it only prolongs the inevitable, but seriously, I can barely choke crackers down!

I tried unisom and b6 for a few days but I was a walking zombie and the nausea was still there.

Since my endocrinologist lowed my synthroid dose on Thursday I have been feeling way better.  I was struggling with insomnia and nausea but both are better for now. Still have tender boobs and my resting heart rate is still higher but now my brain is panicking due to lack of symptoms.  Last time I was sick all day every day until the 2nd tri so this is new territory.

I can't wait until I go into the doctor next Wednesday to see what is going on in my ute.

  • Another 10w1d here (and heck yes @Des321 and @shamrocandroll the prune is an awful size indicator.  I'll jump on the strawberry train,  or my other  personal favorite: a Ferrero Rocher chocolate candy.)

Anyways, the symptoms started disappearing last week and now all that's left is exhaustion. Next appointment is Friday,  so I figure once I hear the heartbeat again I can rejoice that I'm finally feeling better and still cooking!

No rants,  buy my current rave is that I broke down and bought some maternity pants this weekend.... Amazeballs.  No more unbuttoned pants after lunch because of my blump!

  • I'm 9 weeks today.  Like everyone else, I feel huge and bloated and these boobs are driving me crazy (Is G really a bra size??).  But more than anything the last couple days I'm noticing I'm really short with people.  Like no, how about you just get out of my office with your stupid questions.  Can't you see I'm making a baby here?

  • 10wks and something. Still feeling like ass. At least I've been going for a short walk every day with DS in the stroller. If I start feeling faint I just lean on the stroller and when it passes I keep going. Blah. Idk what that has to do with symptoms though. #deardiary

I've been MIA because H and I are caught up in the details of our (imminent) cross country move. But @TwandaFTG 's intro as prompted my return!

11 weeks tomorrow. My MS is a lot better, but still flares up when I get tired. Terribly unhealthy food helps. I'm hoping to get back to cleaner eating ASAP.

I've "gone public" with social media announcements. It was inevitable because everyone already knew anyway.

  • Progress (week/day): 9 weeks, 1 day

Symptoms: Guys, my all day nausea has finally eased SO MUCH. There is hope, I promise you. I noticed a big difference when I was 8w5d. FINALLY. I still get bouts of it, but it's nothing compared to the constant feeling I have been having the past 5 weeks. I'm still exhausted but it makes sleeping so much easier.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I just feel so much relief for the above. It was becoming so impossible to look forward to waking up and dealing with it all over again. Only crap food stayed down which didn't help anything. I feel like I can start enjoying this now. Hang in there chickies!
  • I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and have mainly been dealing with nausea. It seems to be going from all day down to 75% of the day. Hoping to feel much better soon so I can go back to eating chocolate. It's not fair having an ongoing aversive to one of my favorite things!
  • I'm 11 weeks today. Lately when I sneeze or stand up too fast, I get the worst, sharpest pain in my lower abdomen. My OB said its round ligament pain but I don't remember it starting this early with my first pregnancy!
Nausea is pretty much gone at this point except for right when I wake up.
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • First time pregnant person here and also a hopeless Googler (yes, I'm making that a word). I'm 9+4 and woke up with no nausea for the first time in weeks. So naturally Google told me this is the worst thing ever and I should call the doctor. Damn you, Google! So thank you, Bump friends for helping me keep my sanity. I'm hoping that this is the first day of a downhill slide into the second trimester.

P.S. The thought of prunes as tickers is making me gag. So I guess that's a good sign?

  • @FallenLeaves1990 I had the same pain when sneezing, but mine started at like 7 or 8 weeks! I literally googled,  "can sneezing hurt my baby?"  because I seriously felt like I was tearing something in there. That has subsided (for now),  but was seriously nerve-wracking for a while.

MY F*CKING TONGUE IS ORANGE. I had to take 7 days of antibiotics for the BV dx I got a couple of weeks ago, and everything had been tasting ridiculously sour since I started the abx, and I finally looked at my actual tongue and it's ORANGE. No, I didn't eat orange food, or suck on an orange candy. It's just always orange. I'm thinking I have a brand new kind of hellish bacterial imbalance thanks to the abx. I feel like I can't win. I don't know if I should contact my ob's office since they prescribed the antibiotics, or if I should try to see my regular doctor, or go straight to urgent care since I'm pregnant and I don't know how long I should let this orange tongue go untreated.

I've been eating yogurt, Yakult, and probiotics, but I don't think it's making a dent. I've used a tongue scraper, and, TMI, some of the orange coating comes off, but the tongue still stays orange.

I guess I get to have disgusting bacterial imbalances as my trade off for no m/s.  :(

  • @MissAmeliaPond that is scary! Call the OB for sure.

Once I took Pepto Chewable tabs right before bed and I woke up to a BLACK tongue! Luckily a swishing of hydrogen peroxide helped it go away. Maybe you could try that?
  • @BmcD2016 tongue's been orange since I first checked it on Sunday night. I swished baking soda mixed with water (wow that was more disgusting than I expected) and it did all of nothing... I'm really freaked out...

  • @MissAmeliaPond I would call your doctor to be sure.  Could be thrush or just another known side effect of the antibiotic they gave you.

I hope it doesn't hurt & your lady bits have been restore to good health.

So I went to urgent care today... I have a yeast infection and (most likely) oral thrush. I got swabbed and the swabs are being sent for testing, but the doctor was pretty certain about the yeast...  I knew this was going to happen with that GD antibiotic they put me on. Unfortunately the go to oral medications for yeast infections are teratogenic, so they're putting me on Rx strength monistat suppositories and not sure what we're going to do for the oral thrush yet. There's an oral rinse that you're supposed to swallow, but it's category C. They recommended swishing and spitting instead of swishing and swallowing, but I have to run it by my OB office first. So for now I'm taking probiotics, eating yogurt, and rinsing with salt water...

I feel like I'm being punished with these back to back infections.  :s

Nausea on and off, a headache almost every day, I wee alot, cramping once and a while, super hungry, pregnancy rash, breasts are heavy but the soreness has dropped off, but feeling blessed to be this far! :)
  • Okay, super gross question... don't say I didn't warn you: Does anyone have a reliable method for keeping vomit out of your nasal passage when you're throwing up? It's not as much of a problem on 'light' days, but when I've really gotta blow, it shoots right up there. The experience of having it come out my nose while I'm leaning over the toilet is nasty enough, but the worse part is the twenty minutes after I finish when the remainder is slowly sliding down the back of my throat. Yuck, it makes me cringe... If anyone has tips or tricks as to how I should position my head, etc., in order to avoid this, please send them my way.

Oh no that sounds terrible. I don't have any experience with this but maybe you could try nasal irrigation with a netti pot?

That's not a bad idea! I know a lot of people who use those and love them for their sinuses, but I don't see why it wouldn't work just as well for cleaning out my, uh, residue. Thanks!!

This is my life. The taste then sends me into dry heaves that won't stop. It's great. I usually keep tissue next to me to blow my noise between sticking my head in the toilet.
