I know it is a worthy sacrifice, but I was curious what other moms to be are missing or will be missing the most during these next 9 months? Today I went to Starbucks and ordered a fruit smoothie. The barista was so taken aback because I ALWAYS order a venti iced coffee! lol So yeah, coffee will be what I miss most I think. I know they say you can have up to 200 mg a day of caffeine but I'm cutting coffee entirely for now. Maybe I'll have an occasional Coke. Right now I have a serious aversion to anything chocolate so no worries there. Oh and cold sandwiches. OMG sandwiches. No more Jimmy Johns

Re: What are you missing/going to miss most?
Food wise, I'm not as strict as some people. I had sushi last night (cooked not raw) from a place I go to all the time and they always have top notch fresh food, I had a sip of expensive red wine last week (less than 2oz and gave the rest to a friend) and I do drink coffee in moderation. The only thing I'm avoiding is deli meat, smoking and liquor.

Hey don't feel bad. We all have our vice. I had like 3 alcoholic drinks this past week (which is high for me), go figure! One was the night before my BFP. I'm going with the "drink til it's pink" motto I guess lol.
Once I feel better, I'll miss summer drinks on the patio. I know I can have mocktails but its not quite the same. But yes, this is certainly a worth sacrifice.

Oh, and I miss being able to sleep on my stomach. My boobs hurt way too much for that now.
My mom keeps flip flopping on the "is wine okay" theory. She say "oh a sip is fine, and you can drink a glass later on" and then I'll mention that perhaps I may have a sip later in the third Trimester just to taste, and she'll say "and then your baby will end up like so-and-so" (obviously not a good thing). Wtf. Lol she's really supportive otherwise of me though!

Right now it's coffee for me. Soooooooo tired.
Other than that I miss wine (although I do have a sip occasionally) and sleep. I sleep like crap while pregnant. I swear I sleep better after the baby's born because I'm not nearly as uncomfortable.

I miss wine/beer after a stressful day at work. Now I have to actually manage my stress! It's going well so far. But the DH bought himself a stout, my favorite kind of beer and drank it in front of me </3
I will also miss my allergy pills soon, when the season kicks into gear once this snow melts. Fingers crossed being KU will magically reduce my allergies.

I probably won't have sashimi while pregnant even knowing that from a trusted source is OK. I'll miss that at some point.

I'm missing normal sleep. Sleep without crazy dreams. Sleep without getting up to pee.
I always order a Trenta iced coffee too, but since I became pregnant, I'm ordering a decaf iced Americano. You might try it if you find yourself needing coffee.

That's what my barista recommended today! I had already ordered another smoothie, but she mentioned that exact thing in case I get the coffee craving. How do you usually take yours? I typically will get 1 or 2 pumps of classic syrup and extra cream in mine. They told me to order the shots a different way, I can't remember it now but it started with an R! lol she said it would make the Americano not so strong.
