@babymish @LadyMillil I was hoping that maybe the ads I was seeing was a mistake. It seems that it's just a new addition to thebump if everyone is seeing them. And yeah what is with the horrible ad choices!? I got one advertising an app to track my baby's growth. Thanks for the reminder that I'm not pregnant and have no baby growth to track.

ETA: I clicked the "don't show me this ad again" and selected the reason "irrelevant" and the ad that took its place is for a prescription medication treating painful sex after menopause.

@kd0202 you're not the only one seeing the ads unfortunately

I HAVE INTERNET!!!! I live in a small town with limited internet. Our house only had a hot spot that was super slow through a crappy internet provider and only one device could be hooked up at a time (usually my phone). Today we were able to get a new company in to install fiber optics which is WAY faster than anything else up here. DH has been online all freaking day and I can't wait to be able to FaceTime with my out-of-town family like a normal person.

Also, boo to all the ads. I'm seeing them too.

Is there somewhere we can complain about the ads that may have some chance of changing things? I just really preferred not having all the ads. The TWW is lagging on my computer now thanks to the ads because for some reason they're crashing shockwave in my browser

I came here to complain about the advertisements and to see if I was going crazy. What the F is going on? That is super annoying! I see now that I am not the only one.

@linzrunz Yay for Internet, except for the ads! You don't realize how much you miss it until it's gone.

Mobile bumping is looking a lot better right now, never thought I would say that.

I'm back home from my conference in Baltimore and I miss the public transportation and walking everywhere! In Omaha, you have to drive everywhere because it's all spread out and our public transportation is a joke!

Anyway, I've been lurking and reading what's been happening! I've missed participating and missed all of you!

Just home from dinner with DH and my parents. DH slunk downstairs to the basement to do whatever he does down there (something to do with the Playstation) and I think it's time for a glass of wine and last night's episode of Grey's!

I've been bitching about the annoyances of mobile bumping but with all this ad crap, methinks I'll stay on my phone tonight.

Ladies, if you're on Chrome, DH recommends the Ad Blocker Plus extension from the Chrome Extensions Store. I haven't been seeing any ads and I just realized that's why. Ad Blocker Plus is installed on both our home and my work computer.

I think ABP is also available for Firefox (possibly even Internet Explorer/Edge). Important to note! It also features a whitelisting option, so you can let ads through for sites that aren't obnoxious about it (since ads = revenue) or if ABP accidentally flags the wrong section of a site as an ad.

Just getting off work tonight. I'm a part time therapeutic rec aide. We take participants around town to do stuff on Fridays nights.

I love my job so much and it's very rewarding. Never a dull moment or a bad day. Now sitting back with a glass of wine and going to relax with my DH.

So my SIL just blatantly asked me if we were TTC. What makes people think personal questions like that are ok? Luckily it was through text so I have time to think of a response. It's not something I was planning on sharing with her, but now I need to figure out how to handle it. I shouldn't be surprised, she's been throwing hinting questions at me all day. I didn't bite so I guess she figured she would just go for it.

My MIL gave DH and I a huge stack of old pictures to look through, so we just spent the last hour looking at them. I've been with DH for three years and have only seen ONE baby picture of him, and a few from his teens. A lot of their pictures were destroyed in a house fire. Luckily she found all of these and I was in hog heaven looking through them! I also couldn't help but stare at his baby pics and wonder if our babies will look like that! (God willing we ever get KU!)

@aliciabhen I guess I get it if you're having a related conversation that's already personal but it's the out-of-the-blue questions that kill me. At Easter DH's grandmother, in front of everyone, was like 'maybe I shouldn't ask you this, but are you two trying?'.

DH and I kept answering all lines of questioning with the same monotone 'we're not in a rush'. Gah.

@aliciabhen Ughh that question always makes me uncomfortable. And ever since I got married, almost 7 months ago, that question has been thrown at me so many times. My response is always a polite, ''That's kind of a personal thing to ask someone..'' Because it is! It's just awkward. Especially when it's my mother in law asking...repeatedly! And my face is usually like...

I am getting my hair done tomorrow and it has been months since I got it done. I went dark and am going back blonde tomorrow. Being dark is fun, but I think I am a blonde at heart.

**Possible TW: Harassment**

YOU GUYS. I just had a sexual harassment encounter, and I'm super upset about it.

I was at the grocery store, and while I was waiting in the checkout line, a older man got in line behind me. He was standing uncomfortably close to me, and when I would move away, he would continue to inch closer. I just tried to ignore it, since the line was moving quickly, and I was next in line to pay. While I was paying, the cashier was making polite cashier type conversation with me, and suddenly, the man interrupts her, dramatically & slowly looks me up and down and says "Well, looks like you haven't seen any sun in awhile. You need a tan." I was too shocked to come up with a really good comeback, but I gave him an equally dramatic look and said "I could say the same about you." At this point the cashier (who I think was equally shocked), handed me my receipt and I booked it out of there.

I don't know. I feel really weird about it, and honestly, kind of violated. I've heard catcalls and the like that before, but I have never had a COMPLETE STRANGER make comments about my body to my face like that. Maybe I'm overreacting, but right now I just feel like this:

I'm so pissed off right now. Baseball talk about to ensue. Move on if you have no interest in baseball.
In regards to the Dodgers-Giants game.
Why did Roberts pull stripling from his major league debut in the 8th with a current no-no going on??? I know he was coming back from surgery but just NO! You don't do that! I'm a die-hard Cubs fan but a huge fan of baseball in general and love watching a good no-no or better yet the elusive perfect game. I was following along with the Cubs game and was frantically trying to figure out why he got pulled. I just watched through the end and Giants won. I can't help but wonder what would have happened if they left Stripling in.

I'm so mad at my brain. I half woke up to take my temperature and entered it and then my brain was like, "hmm better think about all the reasons you're not pregnant right now!" So I've been up since 5:30 - we're at my parents house which means I actually could have slept in for once.

@mrsdaddario My DH just found a bunch of his baby/toddler pictures and I cried buckets when I saw them. His little nose! His little hands! His little hoodie!!! I'm tempted to post one of them here because it's just so freakin cute.

DH and I went to a consignment sale yesterday morning and ended up leaving a bag of merchandise at the register. I emailed the director to find out if our stuff is there, but I don't really have time to go pick it up, so I guess at some point this weekend, we'll be going back over there. It was like 45 minutes away.

I got a massage yesterday evening, after work. I knew I was tense, due to all my recent stress over lost loved ones plus state testing coming up at work. Still, it was surprising to me how tense my body had become. After the massage, I just felt so relaxed and like I could actually move around easily again. Even this morning, it's a great feeling that my muscles aren't all locked into position anymore. I really need to go more often.
