How to make LO chicken noodle soup

so far we have just done puréed baby food... We want to make chicken noodles and carrots in chicken stock this weekend for her - what do we do, put it in the blender and pulsate quick to make it super blended but slightly chunky so she can learn how to bite down with her gums a bit? Any insight would be helpful, I'm clueless LOL.

  • I would just blend it up until you are comfortable with the consistency. Add more or less stock depending on how thick you want it. I just froze some beef barley soup for my daughter and I just plan on mashing it up before I give it to her.

  • However she will tolerate it. If you've been doing purees, it's a good idea to leave it a bit chunky so she can learn to enjoy different textures.

  • My LO will eat purées (including thick ones) as well as table food, but he apparently hates chunky purées. I agree with seeing what she will tolerate. My LO are soup at a Thai restaurant the other day and the veggies were soft but in pieces (in a broth) and he loved it that way.
