These chicken aversions crack me up. Here I am, a vegetarian for over 10 years and I keep thinking of how good chicken would be if I just gave in and had a little bit... after having zero interest for so longI
@PSUBeck23 Salads - me, too! Like, balsamic vinaigrette literally makes my mouth water these days!! What in the world? I guess there are worse things...

Meanwhile, I can't get enough salad!

Definitely good to be loving salads. But I'm inevitably disappointed by what I make at home and then hit up the local, fancy grocery store's salad bar and spend too much money.
@PoodleDoodleOoo- You sound like my 1 year old with yogurt. He'll bring 1 or 2 spoonfuls to his mouth, then he dives in with his other hand and eats it by the handful. Needless to say he only gets yogurt at dinnertime when his bath is less than an hour away! Otherwise - yogurt out of a pouch ONLY!
I've been loving yogurt with fruit and granola. I make my own little parfaits. It's heavenly. I also am really into condiments right now. I added relish to my tuna sandwich. BBQ sauce, blue cheese dressing, mustard...I don't understand it!

I just bought a bottle of Olive Garden dressing because it was making my mouth water. Salad is rarely my first choice, but I think the need for the salad dressing is making it that way.
ETA: I feel like 99% of my posts on the random thread are food related.
With last pregnancy and this one, I have an aversion to salads. It sucks because they are a convenient, healthy lunch choice. No chicken. No salads. Just Wendy's hamburgers. And milkshakes. There is a reason I gained nearly 50 pounds with my son...
@PoodleDoodleOoo welcome back!! We also had a digital camera on our registry. It came in handy so many times. I don't mind the pics my iphone takes, but DHs galaxy is just awful. The digital camera def came in handy at the hospital when my phone was stationed on Coldplay pandora
@camichael84- I've got a real bone to pick with you (get nervous.. no don't really). I was craving peanut butter cookies last night but didn't feel like making any. It would have been a perfect night for the mug PB cookie you teased me with one time but I don't remember seeing the recipe. HAND IT OVER! I'm hoping to make a real batch of cookies tonight, but ya never know.
There is a slight possibility it was someone else, especially JennM205, I confused the two of you frequently early on as regulars with young daughters... but I'm hoping it's you since I'm calling you out!
Haha, @AnnaS930, at one point I actually thought of that-- that there are probably some people on here that think that's me (if they never click on it). Nope, just my favorite Nikki meme! The funniest part is that I'm not even that much of a Nikki fan, I just love that meme so much. Ha!
As far as caffeine goes, I used to drink 2-3 cups per day before pregnancy (coffee). During first tri, I had a coffee aversion so I switched to tea, and have 1-2 mugs per day. Now, I don't mind coffee again but I'm so used to tea I have just stuck with that! Every once in a while I'll get a treat like a cappuccino or latte though
I want the peanut butter mug cookie recipe too! I neeeed it! (Especially bc DH picked up dinner, which was nice, but he chose the nastiest chicken cordon bleu sandwich from Arby's. His reasoning was good--trying to find something that is pregnant-lady-safe, but it is gross. I'm gonna be hungry later).
We had our anatomy scan and saw the munchkin!!! However, it is too little and was being uncooperative so we still don't know what team we are and so we are back at the drawing boards to figure out our boy name and we will be back in a few weeks. So excited to get another look so soon!!
I just got my first registry goodie bag! It's from Buy Buy Baby and it's nice!
There's a tub of formula, three brands of pacifiers (Mam, Chicco and Nuk), disposable nipple pads, breastmilk storage bags, a diaper and wipes, a few lotion samples, a bottle detergent sample, a car sign, magazines and a handful of other little things (coupons and maybe one or two other things I'm forgetting).
I'm kind of stupidly excited about a cute bag of freebies over here.
Steam mop is great, just did the kitchen area of the tile... worked great! Took off the greasy feeling I couldn't get rid of (I'm a wild pam sprayer). Excited to do lots of other floors thus weekend! Yippee, the pad was super dirty so boo for my precious cleaning skills but yay for steam!
Looks like uo exploded for once, anyone willing to summarize? I have zero energy/interest to argue about minimum wage? That's all I see mentioned at the one post I read.
@MojieJo Good I'm so glad! Graham crackers with almond butter, and apple with peanut butter are awesome snacks too- or cheese and crackers. YUM!
@marikkita12 I am sure I will be the same way on the day of mine! How far along are you?
@marajay6 I'm so with you! And now they're calling for freaking snow here on Saturday. I can't!
@annas930 I was about to head to UO to check it out, but I'm so exhausted and saw your post and now I'm thinking meh. I don't really have a good one for this week.
I would kill for a good salad- I'm craving one badly now!
@AnnaS930 and anyone else that wants the recipe, here is the peanut butter mug cake. It's a cake and not a cookie, but still tasty. I put the 3 ingredient flourless one on here as well (2nd link) because it's also really good as long as you don't get too much egg. Too much egg in the flourless version gets you peanut butter scrambled eggs.
@MojieJo The goodie bags for registering excite me, too. They are one of the reasons we are registering for this one, even though it's our 2nd. And on a similar note, Motherhood maternity gave me a goodie bag when I shopped there for the first time. Both my first pregnancy and this one! Last time was nothing special, but this time we got a free Avent Natural bottle, which were the ones we used for DD. I was pretty pleased with that.
Fun fact - frozen dunkaccinos at Dunkin are relatively low as well... although they do carry a hefty 400 calories. In pregnancy we're supposed to eat an extra 300 or so calories a day right? Might as well spend them on deliciousness... might just get one tomorrow!
Maybe this is more of a FFFC, but in regards to the UO comment and lack of energy to get all caught up--I pretty much only read this thread, my Monday ticker change, HDBD, and specific topical ones. I kinda like that those all feel like smaller communities on a big board. And, I'm lazy.
UO thread in a nutshell (I stopped reading because it was making me angry) - people earning minimum wage are lazy and don't deserve to get ahead in life and transgender women don't deserve female recognition awards because they havent been a woman long enough to understand the true struggle. (I may have put my own spin on this summary and possibly inserted a lot of sarcasm. Can you guess where I fall on the political spectrum?)
Is there any way to deal with maternity jeans that slip down? The new-to-me pants I just got are chronic slippers and I'm constantly hiking them up. Is it because my bump isn't big enough? I remember sticking with the hair band trick a lot longer last time before I discovered elastic waists.
@SarahMConnors17w4d. I hope your little one cooperates better than mine did. Starting tomorrow though, we will have access to all the photos online (they attempted to burn them onto a cd but failed at doing so) and Monday we have an appointment with my OB to go over them and schedule another ultrasound.
@PoodleDoodleOoo If you're worried about appearing tacky, but still want the completion discount you can just wait and add the camera after your shower.
Also I second the mirror less dohicky. It's what we have and I know nothing about cameras (if that's not obvious) but even I take decent photos with it.

I have been frequenting our Whole Foods' salad bar at least once (sometimes twice) a week and spending way too much damn money on a stupid salad. But it's so good!!!

No, I think you summed it up nicely. I'm willing to bet we fall pretty much on the exact same place on that spectrum, hehe.

I'd probably skip it, but stupid pregnancy insomnia, everyone else in my house is asleep, and I have nothing better to do.
ETA: Google suggests a Bella band over them. Hrm.
Sorry for the snark but I'm scrolling through TB at 4:30 am with insomnia and I'm seein it already up and thinking "Really?!?!!!?!"
Have I already crossed a line?
