I work in a jail so I see thousands of people come in and out every day. I've seen some pretty questionable names:

Api.phany (like Epiphany)
Jew.ell...but for a man
Ro.maine like the lettuce.
Joen.athan - pronounced Jo-Nathan

I'm sure I'll think of more or come across more.

My mom used to work at the hospital on the maternity floor and she told me once that some lady named her daughter Lollypop. There were other bad ones but that one stuck with me. I can't imagine the life that poor girl will have.

There was a hospital that posted birth announcements of all their babies and I was going through them, laughing at some really horrible ones, and that was one of them.

So this isn't a weird name but I knew family whose names were John and Corrine and John and Corrine. They had a boy and girl and named both of the kids after themselves. I always chuckled when imagining the confusion in their home when they were calling out to each other.

Madi.syn, R.aegan, Bay.lee Anna.leah. And you know those kids have their own hashtags every time they're posted about.
Rae.gan is the worst, even without the exorcist connotation.

I don't know if Annaleah is suppose to be pronounced like Anna-Lee or Anna-Leah but I know someone who named their girl anal.ee and that's literally all I see...Anal. I don't mind the sound of the name, but the spelling gets me.

We were actually considering Reagan for a girl. My grandmother was Rae and she passed away a few years ago. We were trying to come up with "Rae" names that didn't sound too country music like Raelynn. I still love Reagan, but we would have to spell it like Raegan for it to make sense with calling her Rae. I can't even deal with that spelling! We've decided to just go with Rae as a middle name if we have a girl.

I went to school with a Raella! It was a smoosh of her grandmother's names. Not as country-ish as some...DH likes it, we've considered using it
