  • Early to the party for once! Yay!

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: Temping, CM, CP, PNV, OPKs, BD EOD currently. Will move to ED around CD14.

R/R/CS: It's been so cold here the last two days, and the change of temperature in my room is definitely lowering my temps! Kind of frustrating but at least it's pre-O.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?
Hm that's a good one. I would say the annoying one is that he has an inability to close closet doors. He literally leaves every closet door he's ever opened just slightly ajar instead of pushing it all the way in. I don't understand it. That's kind of not a quirk per say but as I stare at an open closet door it's my first thought. I find it adorable that he wears shorts literally all year long, even in the winter. He's one of 'those' guys but I love it!

  • Good morning ladies! Bright and early this morning!

    Month/Cycle
    5/5

    CD: 5

WAYDTGKU: The regular stuff, Femara Day 3.

R/R/CS: It's a good day when AF has quietly exited. Ordered the Wondfo combination pack from Amazon yesterday. Never used OPK's before so we'll see how this goes :).

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating? I love this question! I feel like I have a hundred answers for both. Cute would be our inside jokes and he has a really funny voice he uses for certain things and it's adorable.

Annoying - his feelings towards pasta. Spaghetti and fettuccine and linguine ('long' pasta) is okay. Macaroni is okay. Any other shape of pasta is UNACCEPTABLE. Penne, rotini, shells, bowties, etc are 'gross'. WTF. He's not even a picky eater. I snuck cavatappi into macaroni and cheese once and he grudgingly ate it. Grudgingly.

    WAYDTGKU: Oh everything

R/R/CS: CM is stepping up its game and SO is getting laaaaaaiiid tonight!

Forgot to bring an opk to work so need to try and do the impossible and hold my pea sized bladder this afternoon.

I seem to have just one window of opportunity between 7am and 10.45am where I can hold it comfortably....once I've broken the seal there's no going back.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?

He is such a lovely person and often kills mean spirited people with kindness and I love that.

He has a tendency to rush things and do "half a job" when it comes to cleaning/ tidying.

WAYDTGKU: Round 3 of Clomid + TI, adding Ovidrel trigger this cycle, temping, OPKs if I remember

R/R/CS: Forgot to start OPKs this morning, but I doubt that it matters. I have my follicle scan on Saturday and I doubt I will O before then, but I guess stranger things have happened, so I will have to remember to start tonight or tomorrow. I also woke up in the middle of the night feeling nauseated and I was afraid I was getting a stomach bug. I feel better this morning, so I guess not. I started a new PNV last night, Nature Made with DHA. The PNV I was taking before was a chewable prescribed by my OB but didn't have DHA. So I wonder if the change bothered my stomach, but would it have happened that quickly?

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating? Adorable, although it's not really a quirk, would be his sense of humor. He makes me laugh all the time, and he is always making funny jokes with DS. He's really quick-witted and also goofy. Irritating, he grossly underestimates the time it will take to do literally anything. We will be getting ready to go somewhere in 20 minutes and he'll be all, well I'm just going to clean out the garage real quick before we leave. Drives me batty.

    WAYDTGKU:  getting some. The usual.

R/R/CS:  not related at all to ttc, but I had a bit of a restless time falling asleep and spent a lot of should-be-sleeping time on the fact that I cannot, for the life of me, wear stretchy fabric headbands. They ride right up to my crown. It doesn't matter if they're the sport ones with the silicone or whatever it is on the back to help grip your hair - they just don't work. I think my head is weirdly shaped.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?   adorable would be his ability to make me laugh when I don't want to. I tend to get really moody (although much less so now that I've been off bcp for quite some time) and he's the first guy I've been with who hasn't exacerbated the situation. Irritating would be his chewing. He doesn't chew with his mouth open, but he has a small mouth - we call it a dinosaur mouth because his jaw is really narrow - and when he chews, it makes a noise that apparently only I can hear. A noise that makes me really stabby.

    Hi friends!

    Month/Cycle
    : 4

    CD: 18

WAYDTGKU:  PNV, HIO EOD, CM, BBT, pre-seed, etc

R/R/CS: Well, not sure if yesterday was O or not. Temp went up a tiny little bit but I don't know. We'll see. Rave: no visitors on campus today! It's a burning inferno of heat in our office so we are allowed to wear our polos today...woohoo! Rant: *tw--hypothetical preg gender discussion*  The other night I stumbled upon old wives' tales about pregnancy and gender. I was not familiar with a lot of these, so I read the article--according to both the Mayan calendar gender wives' tale AND the Chinese calendar gender wives' tale, if we get KU this cycle, it is going to be a girl. I told this to DH hoping to solicit an "awwww"  but he was immediately like, "Yeah well you know the Mayans had a completely different calendar than us, and so do the Chinese". (I could have guessed this is what he would say). Immediately shooting down any possibility of a cute little conversation we could have. He does this sometimes--he likes to be right and when it comes to baby stuff, I feel like he'd rather just not talk about it because he's so nervous. He is definitely excited about trying for our first, but it just pisses me off so much when he does stuff like this.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?

Lol, great question for my rant! See above. DH sometimes thinks he knows anything and everything and is a major correct-er. This drives me insane. In addition, he is an interrupter, which I hate--but I have started to combat him by just interrupting him back, (so childish, I know) and that seems to work! haha. BUT he's so great in most other ways that it really makes up for it. The thing that I think is super adorable is that every morning when he's really tired, he wants to be LITTLE SPOON! Hahaha it's so cute though I can't even handle it. I love being little spoon and that is usually how we fall asleep, but he wants it when he's sleepy. So cute. He is also smart and hilarious and frequently makes me laugh! In addition, he has a gorgeous singing voice.  Plus, he is so nice to everyone all the time. I agree with @babymish, he can seriously kill some people with kindness (Sorry I know that's more than one!) All of that makes the interrupting and correcting worth it!

  • Month/Cycle: 8/9

    CD: 14

WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, PNVs, OPK & BD

R/R/CS: I was fully expecting a temp rise today, no such luck.  I'm not worried yet and honestly it's fine because if I really haven't O'd yet then we are getting way better timing than I expected to get this cycle.  I just don't like the mixed signals.  Peak way back on Saturday, O pain pressure on Monday night, fertile CM through yesterday but still no temp shift.  FAM & Research both put CH on CD11 (likely because of the peak on CD10 and very slight temp shift) but Advanced has nothing yet.  I agree with Advanced in this case, but just really hoping to see that temp rise tomorrow.  CD14 is the latest I have O'd in the past and my post-O temps are always above 98, not that it means much.  Link is in siggy if you have any other insights, but I know I just need to wait to see what happens tomorrow.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?
Adorable - He is very smart and just knows the most random facts.  He almost always has the answer when someone is trying to remember something and he knows most answers if we happen to have Jeopardy on TV. He is very humble about it and I find it cute and attractive.

Irritating - The guy doesn't know how to turn off a light switch!  I'm always finding lights left on in our bathroom or closet or room, etc...
  • @aliciabhen my DH wears shorts all year, too. I think he’s crazy most of the time, but he looks good, haha.

@SandwichLover glad to hear your dad is home, I hope he is able to rest and have a quick recovery.

@safire3 yay for a smiley! I used digitals for the first time last month, and I was so happy when the smiley finally popped up. I don’t have any experience with CBFM so I can’t really help with your question.

@MelissaM090 your husband’s feelings toward pasta are hilarious. I’m kind of the opposite, although I will eat any pasta, I think the “shaped” kinds taste better. My absolute favorite is radiatori.

@babymish double digits for me today, too! Doesn’t hitting CD10 make it suddenly feel SO much further along in the cycle?

@kirby1220 ugh, sorry for CD1 and the confusing results. FRERs are certainly getting a bad name around here. Hope you are able to do something nice for yourself today.

    WAYDTGKU:  Everything!

R/R/CS:  Sooo I'm pretty positive that I O'd on Sunday but FF still hasn't given me CH yet! Since Monday I've consistently had increasing temps so I'm not sure what it's waiting for. Attaching my chart in case you ladies have some advice to give. It's my first month really tracking my BBT so I might be missing something. Hoping that I did O on Sunday because our timing was pretty great.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?   This is so nit-picky but when he coughs, it annoys the crap out of me lol. It's just so loud and seems overdone and it usually makes me jump as well. I know- so silly. As far as adorable things that he does, he's just always so affectionate and always wants to do things for me to make my life easier.

WAYDTGKU: still need to pick up my vitamin d because I suck at life lol, starting opk's in a few days, got my pineapple ready to be cut for FW and beyond, HIO EoD I hope starting tonight...

R/R/CS: DH still needs to make the appointment for his arms. His left is still sore but has gotten better, his right is the same most days and worse on others.... time for cortisone shots, I feel bad, they scare the crap out of me. DH is a tough guy with a crazy high pain tolerance but I think he's even scared of it... :(

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating? Why is it so much easier to pick an irritating than an adorable? lol he's just kind of adorable in general.... :)
He's bad for leaving cabinets open but the irritating part is that he always leaves the messiest one open lol

ETA: I thought of an adorable! DH is confident. Like, seriously. He's awesome and he knows it, but he doesn't come across as arrogant, he come across as intelligent and confident. And he can talk to anyone. Plus he loves teaching. He was fixing his sister's computer's heatsink and told me he'd do it when I was there (we were dating at the time) instead of showing me, he had me do it. He walked me through, step by step, explaining why we were doing each thing and what would happen if we didnt. Its adorable and more than a little HOT lol not sure why but watching him work (he's an IT systems admin, but he has no helpdesk support so he's the one replacing hard drives and teaching users) is still super sexy lol. well.... this took a turn from adorable to me heading to his office to close the door for a "meeting"

R/R/CS: does anyone keep their OPKs and put them all on one piece of paper to compare? Whenever I check online for positive pictures of OPKs I see people who do this. And sometimes after the fact, I'm like oh I wish I had yesterday's OPK to see if it was darker. I feel like I've never seen a blazing positive Wondfo Opk for myself. And when I look for positive ones online I personally would not say that some were positive. I have tried digitals but that gets expensive to do daily when you have a wide potential range of fertile window.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating? He puts wet towels on the bed after a shower. Ugh drives me nuts. He also disappoints me that he hates roller coasters and horror movies. But he is an awesome father and fixes all my tech issues and always thinks I'm hot enough to bang which makes me feel awesome.

irritating: he can be big headed at times

    WAYDTGKU: HIO!

R/R/CS: O should be tomorrow! Hopefully my temps confirm. I leave for Nola (bachelorette party) Friday, come home Monday, and leave for a conference on Tuesday and don't get back until Friday. I'm thankful I O before I leave (if everything goes as planned...) but am annoyed I may have open circles for my temps with lack of sleep and drinking. And my poor H will be a single dad for a week- which he can handle, I just feel bad because our DS has entered into his "threenager" phase and it's exhausting.

GTKY: He shows his love by making things which I LOVE. Last year I saw a dog food/bowl holder I liked online and the next day I had one :)

My biggest annoyance is that I think he brushes his teeth way to hard lol

  • @megzb510, I do that and I like it a lot. Especially being able to look back at other months and compare progressions. I don't typically get a super obvious positive either

WAYDTGKU: Still early, not much going on just yet.

R/R/CS: Happy Wednesday, we are half way there! I decided I am going to continue temping this cycle. I hinted to H that I might skip it because of our vacation, but he seemed hesitant and reminded me how much more at ease I was when I knew what was going on. Love how supportive he is with all of this. Thanks to you ladies, I am also going to add in OPKs, which should make for an interesting moment when my bags get checked at the airport.

    GTKY:
Adorable: His ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone. I am a complete introvert, so I love that he is more outgoing and can bail me out if needed. Annoying: The fact that he is a morning person! I am not a morning person, at all, so sometimes this can be beyond annoying.

Rushing off to work, hope you all have a lovely day! :)

R/R/CS: I'm just still super excited that I have an appointment scheduled for April 22nd! My doctor had mentioned possibly an HSG so I'm a little nervous about something like that coming up, but nonetheless excited to have the appointment! I keep calculating like when I'll finish my Provera vs when the appointment is and then when DH gets home from his TDY haha.

GTKY:  I agree with others that I could think of several irritating things right away haha
Cute: his sense of humor. He can always make me laugh even when I try not to.
Annoying: he doesn't know how to put things away!  Like you put BBQ sauce on your sandwich, then you should put the BBQ sauce away! Not leave it on the counter!

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPK, BD

R/R/CS: After last month's 15 days of positive OPKs, just happy to see a negative on CD9 and feel there is some level of reliability there. A little weird since the only full cycle FF has for me is last month's where I Oed late and it thinks I just naturally O on CD19. Curious to see what will happen this month.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating? Adorable: Whenever I've gone to bed before him and forgot something, I'll sometimes text him and be like, "Can you bring me my water bottle?" or "Can you bring me [whatever]?" He'll always come into the room and kneel like a knight beside the bed and present whatever it was out before him and say, "M'LADY!"
Annoying: Whenever we argue, he tends to talk very.... very... slowly... with... a lot ... of ... long... pauses. He's like that in general too but more so during conflict. It's hard to fault him for it because I know he's like that with good intent, trying to be cautious of what he says, but sometimes I just want to be like, "Aghhhh get to the point!"

I did this last month since I was having false positive OPKs... saved about 10 days of them and even took them with me to the OBGYN a couple of days ago. Doc said that keeping them can be kind of useless because they do get darker as they sit out... and depending on urine saturation and a bunch of other things, one may get darker than another even though they are the same levels of LH detected within the test accuracy window.

I love how geeky he gets about firefighting and paramedicine. He loves what he does and loves helping people! I'm feeling impatient with the world today so I'm going to skip the irritating quirk and focus on the good.

@aliciabhen - My DH has that problem with cabinet doors. It makes me batty.

@SandwichLover - Oh dear, cabinet opener. We can't be friends. I took the week off from TB, but I'm sorry to hear about your dad! I'm not sure what happened but I'm glad he is home.

I'm going to come back and do some more in a little bit.

  • Reading all of these GTKYs is very entertaining!

@safire3 My H is sooo laid back too!  Drives me crazy sometimes, I ask him frequently if he is actually a human.

@QueenSunscreen lol, so many visuals going through my head with dinosaur mouth.

    @mrsdaddario Yay for BD!!

@mrsjqg1024 I literally LOL'd at your cough comment.  My H does the same thing!  His coughs are always so abrupt and out of nowhere and makes me (and our puppy) jump all the time.  As for your chart, I think the missing temps and open circles from the 31st - 3rd will make it difficult to tell for sure, but hopefully it will be more clear after a couple of more high temps.  I'd make sure to track CM every day too as that can really help.

@canavara Haha, I love the m'lady!  I can totally see my H doing that, especially if we're watching GoT or something.

  • @mrsjqg1024 I agree with @JediAlly85 I think it might be a day or so too early to tell if you really O'd. It looks like it might even have been on Monday. Did your CM match up with Sunday? I didn't see any notations about it under those days. Also, my DH is like that with sneezing. Like holy hell dude, that was so loud and abrupt our town probably thinks a nuclear bomb went off. I know I certainly dove for cover LOL.

  • @kirby1220 sorry about CD1. Also, I find it much easier to think of the irritating quirks than adorbable. So either we are both terrible people or it's totally normal. ;-)
@sldp123 If I take my PNV (or any supplement, really) on an empty stomach, I definitely feel nauseous later that same night, so I think it's possible that your new PNV caused that.
@JediAlly85 FX for confirmed O! And WTF to your job--at the very least, you should be getting paid more for doing more work.
@pepperat I think you and your H have also convinced me to continue temping for this cycle. I thought about taking a break since I am so frustrated with everything I am doing while TTC, but I know I would be kicking myself come possible O time.
@thj101 Love of travel is one of my favorite things about my H, too! We also like to always have a trip planned, but have nothing big coming up. :-(
@khbear Yep, super annoying to hear other people complain about their pregnancy. I swear, if I ever get pregnant, I am not going to say a WORD about it (except maybe to H ;) ).

    Month/Cycle: 8/8

WAYDTGKU: Just waiting for AF to GTFO

R/R/CS: I don't really have anything one way or the other today! AF is almost done I believe, so that is fabulous.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating? I'm going to go with one thing that can be both adorable and irritating. When DH gets an idea, he goes all in (e.g., planning a trip, buying a home, home improvements, etc.). I love how excited and enthusiastic he gets. HOWEVER, he will sometimes start planning for something then not follow through. For example, over a YEAR ago, he decided to switch out all the trim in the house for white trim. This project is mostly finished, but there are still areas waiting on the quarter round to be reinstalled. At times, he also starts planning for things that are not financially possible at this point. Recently, he's been spending A LOT of time searching for a lake house. While I agree that it would be awesome to own a lake house at some point, it's just not feasible at this point.

WAYDTGKU: temping, charting, OPKs, PNV, hoping, wishing

R/R/CS: Well I thought AF was gone, but still had some spotting last night before bed. Ugh. Hopefully that was the last of it for the month.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?
adorable - since we bought our new house, he has been obsessed with keeping our yard nice. We have tons of trees, so every day after work he goes outside to rake and bag leaves.  When he's done, he drags me outside to show me how many leaves he bagged. He's so proud. Haha.

irritating - He doesn't put anything away. I do laundry, and he will just let his clothes sit on the floor folded until I say something, or I put it away myself. Same with unloading the dishwasher. If he doesn't know where something goes, he will just sit it on the counter and wait for me to put it away instead of trying to figure it out on his own. Ughhh.

    CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: Metformin, Femera + Ovidrel shot,  OPKs (when it's time) not much else right now

R/R/CS: Day 3 of Femera. No real side effects yet; hoping it'll stay that way. My RE told me that avoid carbs on Femera because it can cause weight gain in women who don't watch their carb intake, so I've been trying to eat only the "good carbs" and avoid the bad - pasta, white rice, lots of bread, etc. It's hard!

I still haven't picked temping back up, and I don't think I will. I don't see a point, now that I'm on Femera and plan to take Ovidrel. Even when I wasn't - my chart was so long and so all over the place, it didn't help matters - only drove me crazy.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating? Oh, where to start. I love so much about DH. He's wicked smart, loving, and funny (when he wants to be). He's the BEST at imitating people and accents (he has a Master's in Acting).
Sometimes though he can be arrogant about things -  and that can be REALLY irritating. I always try to take him down a notch - nothing is attractive about arrogance.  Also, he's from New York, and he can get LOUD and in your face. Which I sometimes find irritating/occasionally embarrassing. There have been a few times where I've had to remind him to use his "inside voice" when we've been out in public.

R/R/CS: Still feeling good about this cycle. Starting to see some positive changes in my fertility signs.  B)

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating? Adorable: We have the exact same sense of humor. We watch the same shows, laugh at the same things, and at times say the same exact thing at the same time when we find things humorous. I just love that about him!
Irritating: I'm with @aliciabhen & @ladystinson , I loath seeing cabinets, closets, drawers, and doors left open. If I leave for any length of time, I return to a house that appears to have been burglarized! And I also agree with @mokay19 about putting things away. I think they all fall into the same category. Just put it back the way you found it!

R/R/CS: Holy EWCM!  In the wise words of @babymish SO is getting laaaiiiddd tonight.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?
    Adorable:
He's awesome and adorable in so many ways, but lately, the way he plays with our pup is just the cutest.  Sounds dumb, but no one can play and make my dog as happy as DH.  I most certainly can't play with our 65# pittie like DH can and the furkid knows it - he's (the dog) never as excited to play with me.  Makes me hopeful that he'll be an even more awesome dad to a human kid. Haha.
    Irritating:
Also relating to the dog....he'll go hours without letting the dog out.  I know the dog can hold it and really doesn't need to be let out every 2-3 hours like I do when I'm home, but still.  This makes me worry that (if we're blessed with a child), there will be many pee-filled diapers in the future. Lol.

  • Good morning!

Month/Cycle: 1/1 (my cycle started in the middle of the month and it's now April. Would that make this 1/2?)

    CD:  26

WAYDTGKU: Mabis, PNV, healthier food, OPKs (though I haven't used them yet)

R/R/CS: I'm a little anxious to find out when CD1 is going to come because this is my first cycle off BCP in 10 years and I'm irrationally nervous that it'll never come back.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?

    Adorable:
Any time he asks me a question or something, he always starts out with "My Love..." Like, My Love, did you... Can you... Also he insists on singing me Soft Kitty when I'm sick :)

    Irritating:
I'm going to go with two.  1) He never puts his dishes in the dishwasher. Always on top of the dishwasher.  2) He didn't do anything for my birthday or Valentines day this year, and he forgot to book off our first anniversary this month. It super hurt my feelings and he didn't understand what the big deal was. It was incredibly frustrating.
    Me: 27 DH: 27

    CD: 10

    WAYDTGKU: starting OPK today

R/R/CS: just hanging in there and trying to keep a positive attitude...although I am finding it quite irritating when people tell me "things happen for a reason"

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating?  I love how he acts like a kid sometimes...he'll bust out singing in the car and when I say singing I mean full out belting his heart out lol - On the other hand I don't understand how he can't seem to understand what a hamper is for, I there was a prize for dirty clothes next to the hamper he'd be 1st place

  • Month/Cycle: 19/11

WAYDTGKU: Possibly IUI # 2: Metformin 2000, Acupuncture, Letrozole/Fermera CD 3-7 5mg, Ultrasound to check follies (this cycle only) CD 11, trigger shot if mature follies (ovideral 1 time, usually pregnyl), IUI hopefully CD 13th....if all else fails Ultrasound on CD 13 to hopefully get trigger and TI...we are off to the EU for the rest of the month and I don't want to waste it!

R/R/CS: Aunt Flow is in full force...gotta love it when your afraid to sneeze or cough to hard...Plus more snow landed here last night. Snow is lame.

GTKY: What is one quirk of DH/SO that you find super adorable and one quirk that you find completely irritating? I find it adorable that my hubby is just learning how to cook...its so cute and fun to have him learning about what makes food taste good and that he likes things he never thought he would like.

I find his method, speed and intensity for eating popcorn totally irking.

  • Hey friends!

    *TW WEEEEEIRD QUESTION*
also maybe tmi, and it makes me sound BSC.

This is the weirdest thing ever. The past few cycles, I have noticed just once either during suspected ovulation or during the LP -a tiny clot-like discharge in the toilet but no blood. Kind of like a clot that you get with AF, but just kind of white-Ish and fluffy looking, maybe the size being a tiny bit bigger than a grain of rice, but round. Idk if I am just noticing it one time, but it seems to happen only once.

I have googled the shit out of this and can't find anything. Does anyone have any experience with this or am I just being a psycho?

Back for for responses soon! Thanks for listening to me analyze what I see in the toilet, y'all. Gross.
