  • @KarliQ88  sorry about CD1, NY weather is pretty crazy right now. It snowed the past 2 days and is cold and yucky out now. But the snow does look pretty. Just odd its in April and not December.
Eeesh! We looked ahead and ended up packing spring/winter clothes. I was hoping for omething a little warmer but it should be a great time still. Going to meet up with some friends :-)

@SandwichLover Hope everything goes well with your dad!

    WAYDTGKU: BBT/BD/OPK

R/R/CS: My temps are still all freaking over the place. Not worried about it but boy is it sure a testament that you can't rely on charting for month-to-month patterns, just for spotting the actual date of ovulation. Science!

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage? Adult: I am so hardcore for Malbec. A good 2012... so earthy. Or a Negroni. I used to not like campari but I've been brought over to the dark side, I guess. Non-adult: Cold-brew coffee. One of my friends has her own business making cold brew and I have become addicted to that--I like mixing chickory or black cherry bitters into the cold brew with coconut milk :)
  • @canavara that cold brew coffee sounds amazing!  This may be a stupid question, but how do you cold brew coffee?

R/R/CS: I've had a migraine since Sunday night. It's an odd time for me to get my hormonally triggered ones. Could it be from my MIL slapping me across the face on Sunday and all the stress it's caused? Yep. Ugh. DH has been really sweet since though. He went out and got me my favorite ice creams and fed it to me in bed last night. I'm actually really glad it's not my FW yet because I'm so not in the mood.

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage? Nonalcoholic would be white chocolate mocha extra hot or Pepsi. Alcoholic would be a dirty Shirley (Sprite, grenadine, vodka).

WAYDTGKU: All of the things now that I have my Mabis and Wandfos :)

R/R/CS: Not baby related, but my brother's girlfriend is 18 and trying to plan a bridal shower for her 17 year old friend... and she called me crying last night because the girl's mother doesn't want to help with the shower  but gave her a list of things this shower had to include, a menu, a list of people, a venue  and we did the math and if she does things this shower is going to cost her over $1,000.00.  I told her she doesn't even have to host a shower if she doesn't want to but she feels like a bad friend.  What kind of person refuses to help and then gives an 18 year old a list of $1,000 things that need to be included.

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage?  Adult: Kahlua milkshakes. Non-alcoholic: Chocolate milk.  We've sworn off pop for since new year so I've been subsisting off water and chocolate milk.

@kellybean1988 our local coffee house can make all their drinks decaf.  I love that!  I'm sensitive to caffeine so half the time or more I do decaf.  Taste wise I can't tell the difference, some people say they can.

GTKY : adult beverage I would pick either red wine or jack daniels and Dr Pepper

Non-adult would be either Diet dr pepper or water.

WAYDTGKU: Temping, charting, OPKs...all the things I didn't do before my loss

R/R/CS: I am post D&C, but my doctor has given us the clear to not wait to TTC. I am just trying to figure out my cycle at this point to see it regulating back to normal. Husband is traveling for 3 more days anyways. I am still spotting. But I finally turn pregnancy tests negative as of 2 days ago, meaning my hormones seem to be back to normal. Hopefully I O soon...although I have heard sometimes you don't even O before your first AF after D&C.

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage? Wine, wine, wine. It was the first thing I did once my head cleared after the loss.

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage?  hmmmm, I love a hoppy beer, cider and good vodka equally. I usually stick with water if I'm not boozing it up. I don't drink soda much unless I have a migraine (Mt dew!), but I've been known to throw back a grape or orange soda on occasion.  Oh, and San Pellegrino is pretty delicious - which is definitely in the soda category in my book, despite being called 'sparkling mineral water.'

  • @juliebeannn She slapped me across the face when I stopped her physical discipline with DS#2 because she took it too far.  We immediately left and she is no longer babysitting my boys this weekend and may not ever have them by herself again.  Still can't believe it happened.  I keep replaying it over and over in my head trying to figure out what in the hell she was thinking.

R/R/CS: I am so ready for AF to go away!  She has over stayed her welcome!

In January, I decided to see if adjusting my diet would help me get KU so I began (and since finished) a round of Whole30.  While practicing W30 I actually ovulated on my own, which had never happened before - or at least since I started charting my BBT.  Since I've finished my W30, I've been a total slacker and have been giving in to naughty foods and having sweets.  I'm starting another round in a couple weeks so hopefully I can jump right back on the band wagon!  Anyone else doing a W30 or notice dietary changes helping your cycles?

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage?  @Lecool I am right there with ya!  Hands down, my favorite drink is coffee.  My day does not start off right unless I can stop and get my coffee on the way to work!  I've been doing half-caf and decaf since starting TTC, though.  It makes me feel so silly when I order!

  • @kaityh1 I'm on W30 right now! I'm hoping to keep some of these habits (especially the no grain/no sugar) when I'm done. I'll have to see when I O this cycle, but last cycle I O'd a full week and a half early, trying out increased sunlight exposure. Not sure if that's actually what helped, but it's the only thing I changed. I'm waiting for my acupuncturist to get back in town to try that too! Obviously, I'll try anything, ha!

@SandwichLover I hope everything goes well with your dad!  I'm sorry you're so stressed.

@felix08 New Glarus is fantastic!  And Moon Man is my husband's favorite. I like their Serendipity and the Berliner Weisse they put out occasionally. And I usually hate fruit-type beers.

@JediAlly85 you need a break, girl!!  Congrats on your stamina ;)

     @mokay19 **hugs** to you. I
hope you can get your appointment without the bureaucratic bullshit

@PepperAT I do my opks twice per day - one at 11-12 ish and another when I get home from work around 6. I've caught my surge every month since I started using them that way.

     @Schumerator **hugs** for CD 1.

    Month/Cycle: 3/2

    CD: 16

WAYDTGKU: Temping and trying out OPKs this cycle.

R/R/CS: I'm not really that hopeful this month because DH is still working double shifts everyday and we haven't been BD as often as we normally would. There's still a chance since I'll probably O this Friday and DH has Thursday and Friday off, but it's almost like I'm just not feeling it.

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage? I like anything fruity and strong, so when we go out I order things like Bahama Mamas and Caipirinhas. But when I drink at home Magners, Strongbow, and Not Your Father's Ginger Ale are my favorites. If talking about non-alcoholic drinks, I love almost any kind of fruit juice, especially apple or grape. It has to be 100% and not from concentrate though.

Edited because it's April now and I forgot to change the month part of "Month/Cycle".

@canavara that cold brew coffee sounds amazing!  This may be a stupid question, but how do you cold brew coffee?
It's REALLY easy to make at home! All you need is a french press, some beans, and a cheese cloth: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/how-to-cold-brew-coffee-recipe/

  • @jedially85 your GTKY response reallllllllly made want 1. hot weather and 2. a cold beer! You are absolutely right there is nothing better.
@karliq88 sorry about CD1--especially on vacation! Have fun in NYC!
@mokay19 Vent away! How frustrating about the doctors...FX that they do not reject your referral!
@wineo929 I don't know if this is allowed with your eating plan, but if you mix some honey into plain greek yogurt, it's really good! RRL = red raspberry leaf. It's supposed to be a natural aide for fertility--probably a load of crap, but I am willing to try anything!
@sammajane19 I'm glad you are so excited about your cycle! FX that everything works as planned!
@ladystinson Thanks! I am feeling much better today.
@sldp123 I am definitely having a better day!! CD 1&2 tend to hit me pretty hard (both with cramps and emotionally, ha). And seriously--this board is a life saver. I don't know why I waited so long to start participating!
@schumerator Sorry about CD1--it is especially hard to deal with when you let yourself feel hopeful. It is equally hard to not SS and get your hopes up!
@mashunya425 So sorry about your loss. Hope you are able to figure out your cycle soon.
@queensunscreen Serendipity is sooooo good (and I'm also not typically a fruity beer fan)! There is another fruity one there that I really like, too. One of my good friends had it instead of champagne at her wedding! I can't wait until it gets warmer out so we can go visit the brewery and sit on the patio with a fresh one (although, I would prefer not being able to partake!!).
@ladybrettashley23 I have to drive an hour or two to get it, but it's totally worth it! Hope you feel better soon.
@kfair001 I am feeling much better today--thanks for checking in. FX you get a confirmed O aaaand one last HIO opportunity, lol.
  • Month/Cycle: 9/8 (16/11 counting cycles I didn't temp and chart. 6/6 TTCAL)

    CD: 16

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, temping, charting, saliva microscope, checking cm/cervix, BDing when possible

R/R/CS: I think I ovulated 2 days ago but I'm waiting for another temp to confirm since my temps are a bit ambiguous. But having O'd 2 days ago makes the most sense with all the other fertility signs (cm, OPK, advanced OPK, cervix). Hopefully you ladies don't mind me hanging around another day while I wait on CHs. :)

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage? If I can count things I can't drink anymore and may never be able to drink again (why interstitial cystitis, why?! :'( ) then I'd say my favorite alcoholic beverage was either a mascoto wine or sex on the beach. Alabama slammers were my favorite shots. And my favorite coffee beverage was either a white chocolate mocha or a caramel latte. Seasonally pumpkin spice lattes or peppermint mocha with raspberry white chocolate mochas a close runner up. I know this is probably way too many to count as a "favorite" no matter how you look at it but I just couldn't pick. There are so many things I miss SO MUCH. It's so hard and it isn't fair!

  • @kfair001 I'm not sure if she can do that. I know she turned in the paperwork with my file so I have literally all my fingers and toes crossed that they'll see I'm the issue and that we have no reason to assume my husband has anything wrong. In almost 8 months I've had 2 periods and they were both induced by Provera! In my opinion, it makes sense to go on without the SA... But the military doesn't always make sense like that haha
  • Month/Cycle: I am thinking I'm not counting this correctly and may need to adjust but for now it's 6/5, +3 NTNP

    CD: 4

    WAYDTGKU: Nothing yet.

R/R/CS: I had a somewhat heavy for me, but 2-day AF.  Don't know what to make of that.  DH isn't worried, MD wasn't worried when I mentioned a 3-day AF.  Apparently I'm the only one kind of weirded out by the shortness. I don't want it to keep getting shorter and shorter and eventually stop.

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage? Moar wine please!

Never met a glass I didn't like.  I also love champagne cocktails - a bar down here used to make one with champagne, Chambord, St. Germain, and vodka.  It was so good.

  • Month/Cycle:  2/2 ( I am changing this from 4/2, I misunderstood the month/cycle relationship....I still don't know if this is right, was TTC in Jan, TTA Feb and March, TTC in April)

    CD:  12

WAYDTGKU:  BD ED this week, OPK, PreSeed, PNV

R/R/CS:  **Possible TMI** but I am really proud of myself for peeing in a Wondfo wrapper at work. This is my first month using OPKs and the line was darker than the last line, but not as dark as control. I know some ladies here say they never get a line darker than the control though? I have been taking pics on my phone (just for comparison, not to post anywhere!) so hopefully I can see a progression when they are all lined up?  I know I should be temping as well, just haven't yet.

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage? I love wine and my favorite cocktail is a Negroni. For non-alcoholic: seltzer or lemonade. And I love chai!

  • @mrsdee15  I feel you!!  My AF has gone from 4-5 days to 2.5 days over the last 2-3 years.  My OBGYN wasn't concerned either but this last AF was just one day of actually using pads with another day and half of just spotting.  I'm concerned but no one else seems to be.  Shrug.

R/R/CS: Despite how busy I've been this WTO seems to be going so slow! I'm not even in double figures yet.
I just got home from a spin class and I am pooped - I love the feeling of crawling into bed at night shattered from the gym.

GTKY: (stolen from TWW) what's your favorite adult or nonalcoholic beverage?

Alcoholic - I love cocktails, especially carefully made cocktails with pretty things stuck in them. I'll pretty much try any cocktail. If we are talking neat alcohol I love honey metaxa.

R/R/CS: I just ate plain greek yogurt for the first time (part of my 22 minute hard corps eating plan) and I never want to put that in my mouth again. Ever. Bleh. Even if it has bananas and blueberries in it.

Plain greek yoghurt takes some getting used to if you don't usually have it - I grew up on the stuff and love it. You can put a little bit of greek honey in it to sweeten it up which is gorgeous - and then its common to dip fresh bread (baguette style) in to eat it with instead of a spoon! Sooooooo good :)
