DH and I are down to 2 names we both agree on, but I'm still not sure! Which one do you like? Thanks!

I really dislike Marlie/Marley.

i think of a dog or Bob Marley who while I love isn't what I want the first thought to be when hearing my daughters name.

I think Lainey is better as a nn maybe Delaney or Elaine with nn Lainey?

Marley has a dog association for me, so Lainey is better, but it's better as a nickname for

Marley is associated with a dog or bob nothing cute about either

so lainey by default(it sounds so juvenile to me)

Neither are my style, but I would say Lainey over Marlie. I know a little girl named Marley, and the first two things I thought of were a dog and bob.

I would do something like Elaine or Marlena nn lainey. Lainey sounds like a forever 5 year old, and Marlies sounds like a dog.

I am not a fan of Marley. But then again, I think that Lainey sounds like someone stuck under the age of five. So I am going to go with Lainey, as a nickname for something else (like previous posters have mentioned).
