  When I nannied, a TON of families had the diaper genie and I found it to be COMPLICATED and inefficient and odor wise, it really just diffused the poop smell and/or covered it with a noxious perfumy odor.

   

  I did like the diaper champ (I think that's what it is).  Much less confusing, easier to empty/change bags, and same amount of odor as with the DG, except no cloying air freshner smell.

  I have the Diaper Genie II, and it's great.  It never lets out any odors and is very easy to use.

  I'm going to try the Diaper Genie Elite.  As PP said, I've heard it is better than the original Diaper Genie.  Hopefully, it will work out good!

  MH swears on the diaper genie, but I have heard nothing but bad reviews, so I don't even want to go there.  I would rather take the trash out every day... But if the genie elite is good I may have to rethink then we can each have our way

  I've heard WAY too much that the diaper geenie sucks a major fat one... so We're going to try the First Years Clean air.  We can use regular kitchen bags which saves money/waste and it just seems like it's better and easier to use.  Just my opinion after researching and hearing opinions on the geenie...
