Co-sleeper with a low bed

I'd planned on using a co-sleeper, but we just got a new bed very low platform bed, and I think any co-sleepers will be too high. I'd really like something that could be flush with the mattress.

My two older kids were in bed with me, but now the bed is getting pretty crowded - at 9 & 11, they're still occasionally getting in with us, especially in the morning, so I want to have some sort of co-sleeper this time.

Any ideas? Or is my best bet a Moses basket on the floor?

Ha, I have the opposite problem. Our bed is very high, so I'm trying to find a bassinet/co sleeper that reaches our bed.

I do know you can buy leg extenders for the co-sleeper to make it higher/match your bed height. We did this with DS

I know a lot of cosleeping families who just end up putting a twin bed next to their regular one...might be the most convenient option if the whole family tends to pile in there and you have the space! We actually used the cheapest basic IKEA crib as a co-sleeper (assembled it with only three sides and secured it to our bed with tight sturdy straps) and while it was the exact height of our mattress, I know others have just sawed off the bottom of the legs to make it work with a lower bed. It's a pretty inexpensive crib so you don't have to feel too bad about mutilating it.

I ended up with this due to our platform bed, it was the only one i found that both had ad ropped side to put flush wit hthe bed and would slip under the platform to actually fit! it also is adjustable hi

I think this is perfect!!! But it looks like it's not really available in the US...only through resellers...for $500!!! Where do you live? Unless it's sold under another name here.

Hubby is making ours . I saw a basic design that has two longer boards that go under the mattress and then you can screw it to the frame . That way we don't have to worry about it matching up or going anywhere in the middle of the night .

yeah is a european model. I was lucky and my husband picked it up while he was traveling for work. the link i posted seems to have it for about $250 plus $25 shipping to the US though. I haven't ordered from that company before though. You can also order it from amazon.co.uk and just pay shipping. it is not cheap, but it's definitely cheaper than the $500 price here.
