@britters314 thanks for the advice! I made your suggested changes and FF still keeps my cross hairs on CD 13. I'm guessing this is because of the + OPK and CM? I will likely just see if AF arrives today or tomorrow (although there is no sign right now) and go from there. My LP average is 12 days, with the most being 13 (which is today).

With the changes, is it looking more like CD 21 now?

• @beary67 Your link isn't working, but picturing it from your other post temps definitely seem to point to CD 21, but FF is probably taking the other signs into account. Unfortunately since you weren't doing OPKs anymore after that, it's a little harder to know until you get your period or a BFP. Maybe once your LP gets too long, FF will move the CH? You could also try playing around with switching between FAM and Advanced to see if it gets interpreted differently.

@mommyforthefirsttime thanks for such a supportive message. I honestly think I'm rationalizing by using our timing to not go to the doctor out of fear of them telling me something is wrong. My insurance just changed so may inquire what it all covers for some basic testing. My mom told me my whole life how easy it was for both my grandmothers (one had 5 in 6 years and the other had 4 in 5 years) and for her (on bc for 7 years and got pregnant with my sister the first month and then 3 years later got pregnant with me her first month) so I just assumed i was naturally super fertile and i would not still be here nearly a year later. Just having a hard day. Appreciate the support :) Even though I actually have 2 cousins who chose adoption because of infertility (one has cystic fibrosis and the other is unexplained) I just can't bring myself to talk to them about the struggles. (I know I'm not diagnosed as infertile but even just talking about this process) I don't want to rehash their possible feelings about it nor do I really want to broadcast what I'm going through. Why is this such a taboo topic to discuss?

GTKY: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why!? I would have to say Kurt Cobain or Freddy Mercury. They were both so amazing! I also agree with others about Amy Winehouse...her voice was one of a kind.

@leksiLwow! Glad to hear everyone is ok! And I think this snow business really needs to knock it off, it's APRIL!

@canonmom413extra sore BB's are like my only major PMS symptom, so I don't even get excited about that as a sign of being KU. FX for you!

@MommyForTheFirstTimeYessss to Whitney Houston! Love her :) Also I have really shifted as well the past few years, I use to be a stone wall when it came to crying now it could happen any time and I'm never prepared for it! I hate it haha

@cjt121413oh no I'm sorry to hear about the house issues! I'm also a first time home owner and I fear for the day that we have a crisis that we know nothing about ha! If someone came to my door and said there was water pooling I would be like ok... now what?! Hope it's an easy fix!

@slradske0626Ugh I'm so sorry to hear about the temp drop and BFN... even if you know it going into it, it still hurts to see those. HUGS

@MamaMunnMJ lover here too ;) Sorry you're feeling like crap.. with a 12 hour shift :( Hope you get some rest soon!

Also I'm freaking loving the new April siggy's, adorable!

Month/Cycle: 2/2

CD/DPO: 28/11

Timing: -1, 0

Testing: Wednesday if no AF

R/R/CS: I really hate this specific DPO day... I typically have a 10 day LP and AF always waits until night time on 11 DPO to come so I'm just sitting here all hopeful all day and it's annoying. But I have been taking vitamin B6 in an attempt to lengthen my LP so even if I'm not KU I will be pumped if we can squeeze a few more days out of this cycle :#

GTKY: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why!?

Michael Jackson. All day. Every day. Why? Because he's the GOAT in my eyes
<3 I would pay soooo much money to see him live. I saw a tribute band and they actually did a great job and it was a blast, I can't get enough of his music!
• @RatsPJ OMG. I'm so weepy because seriously that about made me cry. ***hugs***

@sarah0925 I know, it's hard to take the next step because until then you can pretend there is nothing wrong. Not that there is anything wrong... you could be fine! I would set a date and say if you aren't by then then you go in. But it all depends on you. For some people that might stress them more. My mother had 5 kids and my grandmother 8, so I thought I would be easily pregnant too... Unfortunately it's not up to solely the woman, there's a man in the picture too... plus our bodies ignore what we want and what we expect. My sister has been trying for 7(!) years and I don't know why I was still under the impression it couldn't happen to me. But it did and here I am. It's hard to talk about to even her because it makes it so much more real. I'd rather pretend it was my choice that we don't have babies yet. But it's not. We don't talk often about our issues, but we do think of each other, especially around important doctor's visits. I'll always get a text when she knows we are having DHs sperm retested or when I went in for additional testing. Just like I sent her texts when they found her DHs pituitary tumor. It's hard to talk about, but it is nice having someone close that's been there, done that. Especially someone that won't hate you when you freak out. As hard as it is, I would encourage you to talk to them. This board is great, but it can never beat real love from family. It can't beat the personal texts, the night out after a BFN, or a shoulder to actually cry on. It's rough, but I'm sure they wish you would. Though, more than anything, I wish all this is unnecessary it you get your BFP soon.

• @Schumerator Typically, if your period doesn't start until the evening or night, you mark the next day as CD 1, which would mean you have an 11 day LP and you aren't past your usual LP yet.

Interesting, everything I have read/people's thoughts on TB have usually said whatever day you get AF, mark that as CD 1. That would make me feel slightly better about my LP! I don't know why 11 days sounds better than 10 but in my mind it does ;)
• @TheJerilu I have a drawer full of wondfos, so I'll probably pee on something if I don't get my period in the next week or two. I'm promising myself that I'm not going to go down the symptom spotting rabbit hole when I can't even be sure how many dpo I am, knowing between the mc and my three day stomach flu I will probably have a longer than normal cycle, and I'm working off the assumption that I will get AF sometime soonish.

Here is what fertility friend says about it:

"Your chart starts on the first day of your period. This is the first day that you have red flow (not spotting). This is cycle day one. When you enter menstrual flow data, a new chart will be started for you.

If you start charting mid-cycle, make sure your chart still reflects cycle day one as the first day of your period so that your cycle statistics will not be skewed. In this case, you can go back and enter your period information on the date your period started and cycle day one will be reflected for that day.

If your period arrives in the night or late in the evening, you can record it for the following day.

Record, "light", "medium", or "heavy" to relatively describe your menstrual flow from day to day."

And 11 days is better than 10. At 10 days, you're right at that line where your LP might be too short, though not so short that you need to get things looked at right away.

• Month/Cycle: 1/1

CD/DPO: 25/13

Timing: -4, -2, -1, O, +1

Testing: Bfn yesterday - didn't want to see another negative this morning, just waiting for AF.

R/R/CS: I think I may have o'd later than what ff is saying. 13 days is the longest lp I've ever had, and I have no signs of AF making an appearance. I was a little BSC crazy yesterday, but I attribute that to my in-laws and not my cycle! Who knows. I don't know why I expected it to happen on the first go-round this time, but I'm bummed and it sucks. Hurry up Af so I can officially move on.

GTKY: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why!? I think I have to agree with @moofish2364, Freddy Mercury was/is amazing.

• @Zoey1019 Amy Winehouse is my choice also! Such a marvelous voice. Did you watch the major documentary that came out last year? I was weeping in the theater.

Month/Cycle: 2/2

CD/DPO: 18/2

Testing: Going to try and hold out until CD12 or so. I have no tests except OPKs in my house right now so as long as I don't visit a drugstore in the next 10 days or log onto Amazon I'll make it! Lol.

R/R/CS: Having a good day back to work after spring break. School is out early today so I'm going right home and finishing putting my garden together.

My only rant right now is against my brain which keeps oscillating between thoughts like "oh my god if we're KU this month I'll get to go public at this time and announce to DH in this way, etc" and then thoughts like "ok if we're not KU then next month we'll start doing X and stop doing Y and etc." Neither is particularly negative but it's the swing between the two that's mentally and emotionally draining.

GTKY: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why!?
As I said earlier Amy Winehouse. Aaliyah is a very close second. I was a huge fan in middle school and I feel like we never really got to see her full potential as an artist.

@meilay - I think most of us here understand what you mean when you said this (bold). After 19 (!!!) cycles, I am barely starting to have days where I'm not obsessed. I still think about it daily, I'm just not as obbsessive. However, I find that if I don't obsess during the day, it comes out in restless dreaming about it. I can't tell you how many dreams of BFPs I have had. It hurts to wake up and realize it was just a dream... or worse when it takes a while for you to realize it was a dream.
Either way, it's exhausting. You can take a million breaks but you can never take a break from your mind... :(

testing plans: soon probably

r/r/cs: 10 day LP so testing soon. Trying hard not to think too hard about every twinge and compare it to the last 9 cycles...but just like every TWW its not that easy. "I'm not sure I felt that cramp that day" etc. I am very calm (unlike some previous months) but that doesn't mean I don't still wonder if there is any chance this is it. LOL. Guess Ill know soon enough.

Month/Cycle: 5 /3 ttcal

CD/DPO: 15/? I think 1 based on cm, that's if I do ovulate this month.

Timing: great if yesterday was O day.

Testing: 9. Because I'm a glutton for punishment.

R/R/CS: taking this month easier. No temping or opk's. I was hoping it would help me relax and it seems to have worked. I realize my odds aren't as good but hopefully a mental break will help with the months following.

GTKY: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why!?

that's a tough one. I never got to see David Bowie perform. And I so loved him. His music has been there my entire life and influenced a lot.

• Hey all - I never post here anymore, but I'm lurking around - I almost feel like I should re-intro (which I'll put in the Intro thread at some point). I feel bad that I don't know anyone anymore. Hiiiiii!!!

Month/Cycle: 8/8

CD/DPO: 18/maybe 3

Timing: If 3, then -5, -3, -2

Testing: Monday maybe?

R/R/CS: FF is being a little b. I had an HSG this month and it messed with my pre-O temps - I got my normal signs but it doesn't think my temp is sustained enough yet. Oh well. Also, I'm stuck in bold text. Ah - fixed it.

GTKY: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why!? Hmmmm...Whitney maybe. Or Janis Joplin. Just because I felt like they needed to be saved from themselves.
• Hi all! I'm completely new to these forums - been reading them for a bit, but new to writing in it, and new to TTC in general. I have been tracking my CM for over a year now, but have only tracked BBT for 2 months now. We are on month 1 of really TTC, so I know my chances are pretty slim, and I feel silly even getting my hopes up... but I keep convincing myself that everything I feel could be a sign (my skinny pants did NOT fit well today, were those cramps I felt - could it be implantation cramps?) I don't know how people DON'T obsess over things like this. Good luck this month, ladies!

Month/Cycle: Since I'm new, I haven't figured this short-hand out yet...

CD/DPO: 27/8 (?) - my cycles can be irregular, so we're still learning exactly where O is.

Timing: -6, -5, -2, 0 (and a few + since we aren't 100% sure yet)

Testing: Cycle can be usually 35-39 days, so probably waiting until CD39/DPO20. I know you're supposed to O 11-16 days before the start of a new cycle, but having tracked CM for as long as I have now, I'm pretty certain I O up to 20 days before AF pays a visit.

R/R/CS: My SIL wanted to Skype this last weekend with DH and I, but she is a FH and is somewhere around month 5, so I just really wasn't in the mood to talk to her right now (not that we're super close to begin with), so avoided that all weekend... DH and I currently live in different states - finishing up some job transition stuff, so we just spent the weekend enjoying ourselves. Now back to the daily grind at work. (p.s. I just read what everyone else's posts said for this, but what does R/R/CS stand for?)

GTKY: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why!? Carl and Dennis Wilson (of the original Beach Boys) because their music can be soothing, can get you excited, and just all around is summery (even in the middle of winter) and makes my cold Midwest winters a little more bearable.

FTTA!!! Hoping for BFP's all around - especially you warrior women who have been waiting months/years!

• @AndiPandi127 I remember you from last year, welcome back! I am in and out a lot but read the posts daily, so I understand!

@MeanttoBeMama hi and welcome! Just adding my two cents, but my CM and O have not lined up perfectly in the 8 months that I have come off of BC. It's frustrating and feels like my body is working against me at times, but ya just wanted to throw that out there! I typically get EWCM 2-3 days before my temp shift.
• @MeanttoBeMama R/R/CS stands for rant/rave/chart stalk. Many people put TTC related things for their rant or rave but you certainly don't have to. Chart stalk can be if you have a TTC related question or want someone to look at your chart, if you're keeping one. I also second wondering if you're using Fertility Friend (FF). I switched apps to FF this month of trying and even though I don't temp, it's been really insightful.
@MommyForTheFirstTime thanks for that. You really said the key thing in that we can't take a break from our minds. Although I'm picking up meditation to try and do just that. Trying to explain to DH that if I could "just chill" I'd totally choose that option hasn't been all that fun either.

• Month/Cycle: 7

CD/DPO: 23 / 3 or 5

Timing: great or okay

Testing: The weekend, maybe

R/R/CS: I didn't even bother temping I got such crappy sleep last night!! My other rant is that I had to write a referral for a student today. It is literally the first referral I have had to write all year. It feels like I am breaking my streak. Normally I have a lot of tools in my toolkit to help students do what they are supposed to do, but passive non-doing--you know, the kind where kids say "okay" pleasantly but have no intention of doing anything you say--is my downfall. I can work with the aggressive kids, the hyper kids, the shy kids, the English learners, the too bright for you arrogant kids...but the straightforward ignorers are the bane of my teacher existence this semester. At least now the kid is mad at me. Mad I can work with.

Also, I am about to begin my annual Buffy the Vampire Slayer binge. ;)

GTKY: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why!? My grandpa, who was an amateur musician. For obvious reasons. (We miss you Poppa!)

• @beary67 - Why did you discard the temps at days 10 and 11? Honestly, if you keep them in CD 21 looks more like the O day to me. Oops, kept reading....I agree with @britters113

@nwegman - Creepy Buffy (Darla) hug for you, lady. Try to get rest and do whatever it takes to keep your mind off of everything. :'(

• @britters314 I have no idea if it worked, but I can't get the thumbnail to work so I just posted the url. I'm sure I'm overreacting and an extra day or two is probably no big deal, but I'm BSC and have been over analyzing everything. Maybe o was actually cd14 or 15 bc of the higher temp shift?

R/R/CS: Not much to say, just waiting for AF still. I'm sure she is on her way, but the wait is brutal. :(

GTKY: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why!? I would say Whitney Houston. She has that one of a kind, powerhouse vocal.

• @Britters314 - thanks! Mine are longer, so that makes sense! 1/1 it is, then!

@leksiL - I've been tracking CM in NFP because I have a coach that can access it and give input on it. (certified NFP teacher). Everything else I've been using Woman's Log, but think I'll try to shift it all over to FF so it's easy to share here and have you wise wonderful women help as I figure this out.

@schumerator - Ok, I took a screen shot of my BBT chart to see what other people see. I got EWCM on CD19 (which is when the temp was 97.0 2 days in a row, and then that dip to 96.8 for 1 day was CD19)

@meilay - thanks! I love that that's what it is! Always nice to have a place to vent when you're frustrated.

• @lcsrva Welcome back! And welcome to TWW as well! Just go with it... ;)

@RatParade That is so sweet about your sister. I feel like since I stopped drinking, I don't even notice much what other people are drinking anymore... unless they're starting to act like they're going overboard lol So at least when the time comes to hang out at a family party, (before announcing anything), no one will notice that I'm not drinking cos it won't be unusual for me ;)
• @MeanttoBeMama welcome! This is my first cycle really trying too and I am definitely BSC, vacillating between analyzing every twinge as a symptom and trying to convince myself Im not pregs so I won't be disappointed. So welcome to the club! No judgment here :)

• YES! That's exactly where I'm at - could that be? NO! It can't... this is only the first month. Nope it's not. But what if it is? ALSO - I'm a big runner, and I know that too much exercise can decrease fertility, so any time I go for a run I'm thinking "what if this is hurting my chances, or is this the 'moderate' exercise we're told to get"? Ahh! This is terrible! Good luck @kd0202

I think maybe Kurt Cobain, but there's a lot, Bowie would be pretty high on the list too.

• @Megs7911 I was pretty BSC myself yesterday. I felt like I wanted to scream all day for almost no reason. I'm worried that it's because AF is around the corner. It totally sucks.

@MommyForTheFirstTime I know what you mean about not being able to take a break in your mind. My DH loves to tell me to relax and not stress about it. I wish it were that easy! I told him in almost ready to try hypnosis just to forget I'm worried about ever being able to have a take home baby.

@longliveregina My DH and I have been on a Buffy marathon for the last week! It totally brings back memories of middle school/high school for me! I have the theme music stuck in my head for days.
