3. it's cold. my birthday is at the end of the month and it is generally warm and I can go have dinner outside but we have a freeze warning here because of the cold. cold doesn't equal April for me
4. we are a Yankees home. I hate baseball. I find it boring. dh thinks baseball was brought here by God and is a fanatic. spring and summer are always delightful
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Getting out of the first trimester!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I've had a fever since Saturday afternoon and, even though I was reassured by the on call OB that everything is ok and I'm following up today I'm still nervous!
4. GTKY: It's Opening Day!!! Which baseball team are you rooting for? I will always have a place in my heart for the Red Sox. But I think the Nationals games are a lot of fun!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? NT scan today!! And then assuming that goes well, once the Tshirt I ordered for DS comes in (it's one of those "I'm going to be a big brother!" shirts), we're going to announce on FB. Can't wait!

Red Sox fo sho. DH and I are both fanatics. The picture below is Brock Holt and DH is obsessed with him. He literally wants to name this child Brock if it's a boy. He started off saying it as a joke, but I'm pretty sure it's not a joke anymore.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have an appt on Wednesday, and my dr already said she'd do a quick bedside u/s. We declined any other testing, so it will probably be the last time we see this little bean until the anatomy scan!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I thought I had my morning sickness under control... until the last two days. Yuck! I am so over throwing up every day
4. GTKY: It's Opening Day!!! Which baseball team are you rooting for? Brewers! I'm a fan, so I'll wear the gear and try to get to a couple games. But let's be real, they're going to suck the big one this year. I can't blame Lucroy for wanting to be traded...
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I'm calling second trimester at 14 weeks (I hate that there is a discrepancy about this, @PeggyOlsonFTW, you would think we could have figured out trimester length by now).
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I told my parents this weekend and my mom cried so hard she had to fix her make-up. It was just the greatest.

not feeling the greatest with some sort of cold so it's wearing me down along with being tired from this pregnancy

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? NT scan in half an hour! Terrified, actually. If that goes well: the announcement process begins.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: So tired of waking up in the middle of my sleep cycle and not getting back to sleep. Also I had to wake up early this morning. Eight whole hours until I can come home and nap...
4. GTKY: It's Opening Day!!! Which baseball team are you rooting for? I think that all sports are stupid and I have no idea why anyone finds them at all interesting. I'll be glad when I don't have to hide so many posts on my Facebook feed.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? NT scan tomorrow, 12 weeks on Saturday and then 2nd Tri!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Half nervous/Half excited for the scan tomorrow. I can't wait to see the baby but there is still part of me that is paralyzed with fear that there will be no heartbeat.
4. GTKY: It's Opening Day!!! Which baseball team are you rooting for? GO O'S!!!! I love baseball so much. This is the first year in a long time DH and I haven't gone to opening day. I cannot wait to take this LO to games and dress it up in tiny Orioles clothes

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Well i just officially made 2nd tri, so now i'm looking forward to my next appointment on April 18th.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I don't get on here nearly as much as i wish i could, and this week will probably be even less with my husband away for work (or maybe more if i can stay up after bedtime!). I'm also having a bit of pain in my lower abs and back which i'm thinking is RLP. Nothing super painful, more of just an achy-ness. Still annoying. On the bright side, i feel like a person again and i can eat finally! super excited for that!
4. GTKY: It's Opening Day!!! Which baseball team are you rooting for? We are a Yankees family. My husband made sure to pick out our son's clothes for the day before he left so he could guarantee that our son was wearing a Yankees shirt.

Morning sickness came back on Friday. I'm so over this nausea.
4. GTKY: It's Opening Day!!! Which baseball team are you rooting for?
We're from MI so my husband and son root for the Tigers. But I'm a born and raised Giants fan!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My appointment with high-risk OB this Wednesday 4/6. I will get another ultrasound to check on little doodle and we will discuss my cerclage. I think I will feel much more confident after this appointment, or I hope I do.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I've been having horrible (excrutiating at times), stabs of pain below my boobies in my rib cage area. I don't know what it is, but, it is misery at its finest. Also, I was craving a sweet tea and have limited my caffeine intake to almost NIL, but, I had to have one yesterday. Sent DH for one, and he comes back with unsweet! ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! At that point THE WALKING DEAD SEASON FINALE LEFT US ON A MAJOR CLIFFHANGER, so basically I was just ready to go to bed.
4. GTKY: It's Opening Day!!! Which baseball team are you rooting for? I'm actually not a big baseball fan, but, I will go with the REDS!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? We did bloodwork for the simple genetic testing (just the tris series since we're not carriers for anything) and there is a box to check next to Tris 13.21.etc, and then this cute little box next to "sex identification through genetic profiling" and we checked it so we'll know the little peanut's id soon enough!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We survived the NT test despite me (apologetically) being a big jerk to everyone because I was so stressed. Happy, healthy, bouncing of the walls (literally) baby with a great heartbeat. I'm officially crossed the hurdle and am further than I've ever been before with a pregnancy! In other news, gestational diabetes makes no flippin' sense. How come a blood glucose level considered fine/desirable out of pregnancy is terrible during pregnancy?
4. GTKY: It's Opening Day!!! Which baseball team are you rooting for? I don't have a pro team. Just can't develop a loyalty so I always root for the underdog and love going to local baseball games whether coach=pitch for kids or at the local stadium.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? 12w5d ultrasound.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I am so beyond frustrated right now. I saw my Mom this weekend, which was honestly great!! I haven't seen her for about 4 months (we don't live close anymore). This is the first time in a very long time that I actually got some alone time with my Mom!! I always have to see her with my step dad. So I was super excited she was coming by herself!! She arrived Friday evening (it's about a 6 hour drive). Well, my step dad started calling her repeatedly saying the weather was supposed to be bad, and she needs to come back home. Ugh. She ended up leaving at noon on Saturday because he wasn't leaving her alone, and kept calling. It was infuriating. Also, yes it snowed a little (very little) on Saturday, but if she would have stayed till Sunday as originally planned, it warmed up very nicely and she would have had no issues driving home. It's just really irritating how he doesn't let her spend alone time with people. He also insisted on driving with her for my wedding dress fitting last year, and sat in the parking lot texting her the whole time asking why it was taking so long. He was irritated that I wouldn't let him come in. Haha, too bad. I know it's her choice, and her marriage, but it would be nice if I could just spend some more time with my Mom. Especially now that I want to talk to her about pregnancy stuff. Okay so that was a huge rant, and I feel a little better now.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Feeling the baby move...it seems like it'll be a pretty strange experience but I hear it's pretty cool and provides some built-in reassurance

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I woke up in a sweat in the middle of the night from a dream that I still had to go get my D&C done because I had been putting it off for months....took me a while to figure out it was a dream and I still couldn't quite shake the feeling but I felt a little better when I caught the heartbeat on the doppler...

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? OB appointment on Wednesday I guess, and then NT scan next Thursday. Very anxious to see baby again.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Very very tired, and cranky that DH had to go out of town for work again unexpectedly. It's a very short trip but I was still in tears last night because I missed him. Glad to have this board to help me realize that I'm not the only one who is feeling overly emotional right now.

@wegme27 - I completely sympathize with you on the cold. I've been dealing with one too and I think between that and 1st tri and my thyroid stuff I'm completely exhausted. It's so frustrated to wake up after 9 hours of sleep and still not feel rested. FX that you feel better soon!

@Pupatella - I'm so sorry that your mom and stepdad are being frustrating. It must be rough not to get that alone time with your mom. Hopefully she finds it in her to stand up to your stepdad and demand some independent time, especially once the baby comes and you may just want your mom around for a bit.

@krzyriver I'm so sorry about the brown spotting. Did you recently strain during a BM or have sex? I got some brown spotting after both and it was very nerve wracking. Call you doctor, that's what they're there for! *hugs*
