Guys, my face is like freaking out. This is worse than period acne. I can't recall if this happened in my past pregnancies.
It's happening to me too. Nothing helps. It will almost clear up for a day and then freak out all over again. I've never had acne this bad...

I know! One day my skin is glowing, the next it's BAM! 4 new pimples.

@honeybeewebb2424 Is it like it's spasming? I know muscle spasms can be common during pregnancy. Are you getting enough vitamin D? Drinking a lot of fluids?
I think if it keeps happening it might not be a bad idea to give your Dr. a heads up just so they are aware.
  • So this is weird and happened last time I was pregnant and has happened twice again this time around. I'm wondering if anyone has had this happen or knows what it is?

My right hand from time to time will go bonkers, and I cant really control it. Its like the nerves in my hand and fingers just start spazzing out, causing my hand to move around and fingers to bend/move. It sounds super silly and strange but it is actually kind of worrysome because sometimes it will carry on for a while and almost hurts.
@honeybeewebb2424 This happened to me sometime in the last week too. A few fingers on my left hand went crazy for a couple of minutes. They just kept bending, it was like alien hand syndrome (look it up, it's real!). DH read something that said tingling, spasms, etc. can happen in hands and feet during pregnancy. I don't think it's anything to be too worried about.

  • 8w2days. Morning sickness is worse the past couple of days. I think I've kept down 1 meal out of the last 8. :( day 3 of migraine and so tired. Tylenol pm didn't help at all. Trying unisom tonight. I've tried everything I can think of to drink, but I just don't like anything. Working is tough!!! It gets better, right?
  • Thanks for not making me feel crazy ladies! It is close to a spasm but like twitching.. I swear Ill have to get a video of it! Im pretty good on vitamin D but ill have to pay attention if Im well hydrated when it happens. I did look up alien hand syndrome, and as freaky as that sounds, Its not necessarily fitting that description!

I try so hard to stay away from Dr. Google because it never ends well! I did do some looking after alien hand and it seems really similiar to carpal tunnel symptoms. Which I read can be caused by hypothyroidism, diabetes, or just being pregnant. (Typical google search, million and six ways) As I read about it, it sounded nearly spot on though.. especially when it said it can sometimes be flared up from repeated motions. Ive noticed it after writing for a while or doing dushes. Even if im on my phone for a while scrolling my thumb will start freaking out moving all over, followed by the other fingers and sometimes wrist. Its like my hands just having a dance party. Funny as it sounds It feels so weird though not having control over it! Definitely gonna bring it up to my dr and see what he thinks!

I hope this doesnt sound cocky.. but Ive never had a problem breaking out ever. My sisters both went through a terrible phase and one still battles acne but I was the lucky one I guess. But that being said, I've also never learned how to deal with a breakout as silly as that sounds. I do have sensitive skin and get rashes from most lotions or face washes though so I have to be careful what I use. I was breaking out pretty badly a few weeks ago, and had no idea what to do! I have come to realize that my skin or something must be changing with hormones. I literally cannot use any facial cleanser or lotion or I noticed it breaks out. Ive been cleaning my face with a washcloth and water only and it cleared up finally.  Im too afraid to use anything now!
    Edit words are hard.
  • @HeyBooHey my first 2 pregnancies I was in my early 20's. I was thin with no muscle and just ate whatever I wanted. I had MS like crazy with my first. This time I have been taking care of myself well for years. Eating properly, lifting weights, cardio, sleeping right and stay in well hydrated long before we were TTC. I feel that I am in better shape now to have a child then I was 10 years ago. I am also more I tune with what my body needs.

Not cocky at all. My skin is super sensitive too, so I generally use the oil cleansing method. It's been the most gentle on my skin, I can't use benzoyl peroxide which is in most cleansers. But I'm thinking I'll have to find something with a little extra cleansing power for the next few months.

Please mention this to your doctor. These sorts of things can be signs of electrolyte disturbances. Calcium, if I'm remembering properly, when it comes to hand contraction.

  • @KilgraveMadeMeDoIt thank you! Ill definitely talk to my dr about it. And if calcium is right it would make sense because I typically don't get enough.
