Boy names - looking for opinions!

DH and I are having a hell of a time agreeing on a name. FTM due with a boy on 8/4. Here are some on our list, and I'd love to hear your thoughts. We don't agree on all of these, FTR....

Cole
Everett (nn Rhett)
Rhys

Thoughts on these plus any similar suggestions are welcome!

I really like every name you have on your list. Everett is probably my least favorite simply because I've seen and heard it a lot but again all solid choices.

I like them all, Calvin being my favorite. Cole is okay on its own but I like it as a nickname for Nicholas better.

They're all fine but the only one I really love is Cole. Everett is my least favorite on your list.

Haha my boy due July 11th is most likely going to be Rhys James! If we change our mind I like Cole or Avery. I could take or leave Calvin or Everett.

Love Calvin!! Such an underused name that is timeless but feels fresh! I was sad I couldn't get my hubs on board for it.

I like Rhys and Cole. Everett is ok but dislike the nn Rhett...makes me think of the word retch (sorry). Calvin is NMS but it's ok.

I'm actually happy that the consensus is NO on Everett - since that was my favorite but I don't think I can get DH on board. Calvin was his idea and it's growing on me a little...

We had all those names on our list! Love them all. Calvin is peobably my favorite (I like Cal as a NN). We ended up naming DS Colin.

I actually like all of these names! Especially Calvin, which you can't use because it's mine and DH's top pick

One suggestion, would you consider just using Rhett as the full name? I have a student in my class whose full name is Rhett and I actually really like it. I think it's less trendy than Everett, but I don't hate Everett either. Just an idea!

Calvin and just Rhett would be my choices. I'm still confused by Rhys, even though most people like it, and Cole is alright.

Rhys is Welsh hence the spelling. It means enthusiasm or ardor. Reese or Reece are actually anglicized versions of Rhys. It also should be pronounced 'hrees' but in the U.S. correcting people on the distinction between 'hrees' and 'rees' would be pointless. I like it because it's not 'youneek'; it's an actual masculine name with real history but it's also not run of the mill.
