@moosette113 love your DH story!! I majored in music...if I had a nickel for the number of times I could have been found crying/screaming on the floor in a pile of sheet music, I'd be so rich

@sparty18 haha they're still best friends, and that's actually who the bachelor party is for that he's going to on Friday night! He's marrying a super sweet girl who I've become really close with over the years!
@moosette113 **fellow band geek here** your story really tickled me!

R/R/CS: The espresso machine at my favorite coffee place broke and will be out for a few days. So I have to go for plan B which is ok, but not my favorite. First world problems, right?
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?! We met in college and I was in a "I hate boys" mood after a bad break up. I was running late to the first day of my Political Science class and literally the ONLY seat left was in the front row next to him. We passed notes and he finally asked for my number. (Little did I know he asked for two other girls' numbers the same day!) He didn't call me for a week, so I changed my number (I needed a local number anyway) and made him ask for it again. Still can't explain why I gave him my number...twice! I thought he was a stuck up jock who just liked to party. Our first date wasn't even really a date. He text me to see if I wanted to eat on campus and I was still in class. I told him I would meet him by the library after class. He ate without me! I made him go with me to get food and wait for me to eat. I still didn't like him. We hung out a lot after that and talked every day. I thought it was just going to be a fling/friends with benefits situation, but I was wrong. It must have been meant to be because three months later I moved to his hometown with him and six months after that we were married on July 21, 2007. And guess what...I still don't like him. (Ok...maybe I do a little...)

@kellybean1988@thj101 I feel like our relationship can be measured in band events. First started flirting on my first overnight away trip. Telling my mom hickies were from sleeping on the bus rides funny before spring break. First major fight at the hockey finals. I'm glad there are other people who appreciate how band-cestuous we are
R/R/CS: still waiting for O, no positive OPKS yet. This is the latest O date I will have had, maybe my cycles are lengthening? Worth hoping anyway. This morning was the second day in a row I forgot to temp and ovulation could be any time so my chart is going to be jacked up. Maybe I'll just give up temping for a while.
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?! We met at work. We were both brand new and all the new people kinda formed a little clique. I thought he was so funny. Funny though because most of his jokes that impressed me then just annoy me now. Haha
@sparty18 FX that your OPK keeps listening!! I am currently fighting with mine... @kfair001 Glad you got a good sleep and workout in before work. Nothing beats getting your workout in the morning! @sldp123 That's so neat that you met your husband on match.com SO and I didn't meet online but we were young and spent hours every night talking on MSN... does anyone remember the days of MSN? lol I've always thought the time we spent just talking and getting to know each other without any pressure has attributed to the relationship we have today @mrsdaddario Good ol POF. Two of my friends met on POF and got married this past October. They actually felt the exact same way. Right before the wedding they decided that they needed to tell the brides parents the truth... they were so nervous but everyone just laughed that they thought it was such a huge deal! @l9i glad things are finally starting to clam down! @furbabymom2007 flasks for wedding dress shopping... now that is a brilliant idea. I will have to remember this one! @beff12 I am in the exact same boat. Although I am only on day 2 of temping. I keeping waking myself up at night thinking (is it time to temp yet?) ugh hopefully that stops soon!
Month/cycle: 2/2 CD: 14
WAYDTGKU: PNV, RLL Tea, Opks, temping day 2
R/R/CS: So I am currently on chapter 5 of TCOYF. I am really enjoying it so far! I got a positive on my Opk this morning so I am guessing I will ovulate soon but I just started temping so I can't confirm with that. Husband is away until Tuesday though... he works about 3 hours away.... would I be considered a crazy lady if I drove up to see him? lol
I am excited to have started temping. I just hope I can sleep through the night soon! I've been waking up all throughout the night worrying that it'll forget! Also I wish the thermometer that I have would light up so I wouldn't need to turn on a light when I am half asleep...
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?! We met on NYE 2005! it was a mutual friends party that had completely gotten out of hand. When my friends and I got to the door my SO was there basically being a bouncer and not letting anyone else in. We didn't know eachother at the time but the running joke is always that if he had known that he would end up marrying me one day, he probably would have let me in!
Me: 28 | DH: 30 BFP #1 April 12, 2017 EDD December 19, 2017
WAYDTGKU: diet, exercise (yesterday was leg day, OUCH!), PNV, progesterone (after O), and BD EOD until the end of the cycle. DH is enjoying all the BD this cycle.
R/R/CS: My proctoring of state testing is done. The kids have more tests, but I won't be here next week to help out. I am so pumped for my trip to Baltimore! I got my confirmation email, so now I just need to go through to print everything off and I'll be ready to go. FF says that my FW is next week, though, GAHH!!! We'll just have to BD this weekend and next, just to hopefully catch some part of it! I am anxiously awaiting my appointment with my RE on April 19th. The countdown is brutal!
I still think my thermometer is wigging out on me. I'm tempted to switch to my Mabis for the rest of this cycle and the next one, but I'm paranoid it will mess it all up...but I'm also nervous that I will miss when I O, which will completely kick us out this cycle.
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?! Match.com. I had been on and off again for a while (ugh...3 years after a nasty break up). We broke up in 2010. I met a guy on Match. We dated for a year, then off and on again for another year (so I unsubscribed), then we completely broke up in 2012. I was single for a while and going on a ton of first dates. Then in the summer of 2013, I noticed this guy had checked out my profile. I clicked on his profile and liked what I saw, so I emailed him. He almost didn't respond because he was getting frustrated with it and his subscription was up in a week. He ended up responding because he didn't want to be rude. He liked my sarcasm and wit, so we exchanged numbers. We went on our first date in August...and the rest was history. He's awesome. It's funny how we almost missed out on the last 3 years because he wasn't going to respond. Love that man of mine.
Now to responses! I've missed doing these!
@sldp123 - Sorry AF is being such a bitch. Can you give me more details about your treatment? Why do you need a trigger? Won't the Clomid work? Sorry if that's personal. Feel free to PM me. I'm just curious. Yay for meeting on Match!
@mrsdaddario - My OBGYN told me that PCOS might be a possibility for me, even though my labs all came back within "normal" range. He said my FSH and LH should be at a 1:1 ratio, but they aren't even which could suggest PCOS, or something like that. I'll know more after my meeting with my RE on the 19th. I tried POF at one point. DH tells everyone we met at a party through mutual friends, but I just tell everyone the truth that we met on Match. There's nothing wrong with that.
@JediAlly85 - Oh! AOL! #tbt! FX for a clear temp shift!
@Sparty18 - Are we the same person? I give pep talks to my OPKs, too! I give a pep talk to my ute after DH and I BD, so maybe I'm full on BSC?
@furbabymom2007 - Try to have fun wedding dress shopping! I loved that part of wedding planning, although I wish I had remembered to bring a flask. My mother was being a tyrant that day...
@kellybean1988 - Your doctor sounds amazing and I'm so glad she was able to put your mind at ease. She sounds like a sweetheart. FX for you!
@LadyMillil - I used eHarmony for a while. It was interesting to see who I was matched with on there.
@houseofsetters - Glad you have an appointment with an RE! FX that you won't need it, though.
@zoey1019 - Dating years DO count! And on your BD...get it, girl!
@beff12 - Keep at the charting! The more you do, the easier it gets! Plus, if you attach your chart to your siggy, we can offer advice and suggestions! I get up at 6:30am on weekdays, so I set my alarm to take my temp at 5:45am every morning. I don't think it matters the time, as long as you are consistent and get at least 3 hours of sleep before you temp.
@juliebeannn - I had leg day yesterday. As a teacher who walks around a lot, this was a bad decision. All I could think of when you said "T-Rex arms" was this:
@Dilynne - Could you try adding your chart to your siggy? I put mine there, just in case. That way, when you are super frustrated, we can check it for you and give you any possible insight. I saw that you added it as a picture to a later post, but adding it in a siggy might help make it more accessible. Let me know if you need help with that!
@kfair001 - Thanks for always taking the time to respond to everyone's posts! Glad you are having a good day today!
@mokay19- "Don't look him in the eyes or you might fall in love." That's a great line and a great story!
@aliciabehn - What grade(s) do you teach? I usually grade a few assignments while my students silently read at the start of every class. I also only grade a few assignments each week (the kids never know which ones, so they have to do EVERY assignment). I also have a printout of my grade book and will sometimes walk around and give them a grade while they are working. It cuts back on my work load and keeps them accountable. It definitely helps! It only took 5 years for me to develop this system! lol!
WAYDTGKU: Temping and trying out OPK's this cycle. We're still not super stressed about it or anything because we're so young, but I still like to optimize chances and explore new methods to get KU.
R/R/CS: Not much going on yet, FW probably starts next Monday. I ended up paying for the 90 day FF VIP because I ended up not liking the free version.
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?!
This one is a really cute story actually. So DH and I went to the same high school but never crossed paths until Spirit Week. It was "Character Day" where you dress up as your favorite cartoon character. I chose Belldandy from Ah! my Goddess. Looking back at my costume on the right, it wasn't a great attempt lol. But as I was walking across the quad, I heard a bunch of male voices yelling at me that they loved my costume. I yelled back "Thanks weirdos!" haha.
And that was the end of it until about a month later when I went to a convention with my friends. It turns our that my now DH was then a friend of a bunch of my friends. My BFs brought back in a bunch of guy friends to our room (we were only 16 and our moms were all there). Lo and behold, here was the group of guys that had hollered at me at school. We all got to talking in our large group and eventually everyone left to go to the masquerade but me and future DH, he was waiting outside after taking a nap while I changed into my dress.
Well, I forgot my key card in the room as I left, and he left his shoes in the room. I locked his shoes in my hotel room! I stayed with him for the rest of the night and we talked until our friends came back, and then less than a week later we were "officially dating". So technically, we're high school sweethearts. And that's how we've been together for almost 7 years now.
R/R/CS: I o'd yesterday. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. (Can't say that without thinking of this guy:) GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?! High school sophomores in chemistry class. Growing up in the district I thought I knew everyone, but he had just moved here the year before and I had never seen him before this class. I saw him walking across the room that day and everything stopped. The sound dropped out, I couldn't breathe, and my vision went to pinpricks. He was wildly unattractive - long hair, bad acne, awful glasses and clothes - but I just knew that he would be this really important person to me. Soon all of his off-the-cuff comments had me, and no one else, cracking up but I didn't think he really noticed me. One day we were told to choose our own lab partners and I stared at him until he saw me and nodded. It was magnetic; he had noticed me and he was unlike any guy I had ever met. This June will be our 15-year dating anniversary and I still get butterflies. Even if we never have kids I know that he's my real miracle.
Oh yeah, and he really ugly duckling-ed / Longbottomed. He's easily way more attractive than any other guy I meet.

@BerkeBaby DH and I met on match, too, with kind of a similar story. He claims that he was getting ready to cancel his subscription because he wasn't meeting anyone worthwhile, and he decided to message me and if I didn't answer, he was done, haha. Luckily he sent me what he calls a "killer first message" so I responded and the rest is history.
Anyway, yes, the Clomid worked for me last month as far as producing at least one good follicle. But I was in for an u/s on CD14 last cycle and had a 20mm follicle and a couple of smaller ones that might have caught up, and the RE said it looked like I would O in 1-2 days. Well, 6 days later, I finally did. I didn't have any more u/s during that time, so I have no idea what happened with that big follie, if it got too big or if it stopped growing and just took a while to O or what. (I probably should have called in that time to get back in for another look, but I didn't because I just kept thinking I would O soon.) So she said adding the trigger will just be one more thing to tweak, it will help with timing and give the eggs one final boost as far as maturity before forcing them to O. So to answer your question, I don't HAVE to trigger, I actually was originally planning to wait to add the trigger until we move to IUI, but I decided it's worth a try now if it has a chance of helping.

@mokay19 OMG my DH does the same thing sometimes!!! Ate too much is literally the only time he
turns down BD lol. Glad someone has that
in common with me. lol
@aliciabhen Boo for having to do work tonight when you get
home. I’m the queen of procrastination
so I’m always working at home but it’s always my own doing! I spend too much time on TB at work!
@SandwichLover Aww I love
your GTKY story. That is so cool about
your friend!
@thefarmerswife0411 Yay for CH!!! Hope to see you over there soon! GL in the TWW!
@Lecool Yay for your
massage. I still haven’t booked an appointment but I’m strongly considering squeezing
something in this weekend during an already hectic couple of days!
@MrsRoss89 I was the same way my first month temping. Constantly waking up paranoid that I’d miss
my temp time. Your mind will relax more
and more as you keep temping. Mine did
and my charts look better and better every month! Also, about driving to see DH. I don’t think it’s crazy but maybe that makes
me crazy too!
@BerkeBaby Wouldn’t be a bad idea to switch to a mabis
mid-cycle. I did that last cycle. But I’d
recommend maybe temping with both and logging both just in case it does make
your chart a little wonky. My chart was
wonky so I ended up using my old thermometer temps and then switch completely
to the new thermometer this cycle. GL!
@PaukMeKiande I caved and got the FF VIP version too. I couldn’t resist! Too many good features
that I couldn’t pass up on.
@whiska FX for confirmation of O! PS love your cute
animal GIF!
@BerkeBaby It's crazy how much there is to learn once you start wading into the fertility treatments pool. I still don't have the wherewithal to even look up what a "trigger" is but I see it here all the time! Good luck getting prepped before your next appointment!
PS - I think you won this month's siggy challenge on day 1. That is one of my favorite gifs of all time!

Thanks for all the Fx that I stop bleeding soon. I was getting nervous that I was passing clots, so I called the doctor's office and they prescribed me an antibiotic. I'm not sure how that will help the amount of flow, but they told me it's to prevent infection. Then the nurse goes, It's also safe in case you get pregnant". I realize there is a (not yet proven) chance of increased fertility after an hsg, but I had to laugh because not getting KU was the whole reason I had to hsg in the first place!
Also, I LOVE reading your stories about how you met SO/DH! Their awesome! It's also awesome other's have met their DH's on POF/other online dating sites! I also stalked the TWW, and same for over there!
@BerkeBaby Yeah, I'm thinking that's what's going to happen with me too. Normal blood work/glucose test, clear tubes, we'll see about the US, but I think I do have PCOS just based off of the visual symptoms. Though I don't have acne. Hopefully I have a mild form, if there is such a thing!
@mrsdaddario - I've been told that PCOS is a spectrum. You can fall on any part of the spectrum and have completely different symptoms from someone else. Some people have more severe symptoms than others, but they all fall under the blanket of the diagnosis. FX for you this cycle and that the bleeding goes away soon!
@kfair001 I feel
great today too, not sure what it is! Glad you are feeling that way too! I
thought the 14 day LP was interesting too. We’ll see what happens! Great story
about how your met your DH, btw!
@mokay19 ooooh I hate
it when visitors/customers ruin your plans! Argh, so frustrating. And lol my DH
does that to himself with food and tummy aches too!
@aliciabhen Yes, AF
is almost gone! Good luck on your grading
@SandwichLover Neat
story about you and DH and your friend and her DH! My LP was only 10 days my first cycle off BC,
but has gotten longer each cycle. We’ll see if this month is actually 14…
@thefarmerswife0411
yes for CH! Have fun over in TWW, hopefully I will be joining you in a
week or so!
@Lecool Oh man, I’m so glad you enjoyed your massage. How
nice!
@moosette113 yes, I
can measure our life in music stuff too! My DH is a trombonist but I play viola
(womp womp) so he has way more cool band stories than me. I never got to
experience band life since I am a string player. But he played in orchestra with me and we sang in chamber singers together so I have those stories!
@bfhensen isn’t that
funny how their jokes that made us laugh then are just annoying now? If I had a
nickel for every time I heard “you USED to think I was funny, remember?” from
the hubs I’d be rich--still love him though
@MrsRoss89 agreed
about turning on the light when you’re half asleep to read the thermometer.
Just wait until you fall asleep with the BBT in your mouth—I have done that now
more times than I am comfortable admitting…lol
@BerkeBaby Oooh your
trip to Baltimore is so soon! Can’t wait to hear about it!
@PaukMeKiande I
broke down and did FF VIP too because I don’t like the free version either. Lol!
@whiska OK your
story about meeting your DH is seriously epic. And I Iove that you said he “Longbottomed.”
AWESOME.
This is a late one - work was too busy to bump and I have acupuncture straight after work so this is the first chance I've had to get on here.
Month/cycle: 7/7 CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: Iron, PNV, temping, acupuncture, CM, sex, OPK's - the whole shabang.
R/R/CS: I spoke to the private clinic today and they had availability for next week! but it's too soon for us to be able to book time off work for the appointments so I have asked for appointments in May for cycle 8 instead. Who knows - maybe cycle 7 will be lucky for us.
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?!
I came to London for my birthday and met him on a night out - didn't think for a second it would go anywhere due to the distance (I lived in Leeds) but we stayed in touch and he got in touch as he was due to travel north one weekend so offered to keep driving up to where I lived and see me. After that date we saw each other every week - I would go to London one weekened and he would come to Leeds one weekend.
He asked me at the end of our second date if he could start calling me his girlfriend and I had a minor freak out (wasn't expecting it so soon) and asked him if we could take it slow. Then on my way back home I thought "what the hell am I doing? He's such a keeper!" So I called him to tell him I'd like to be called his girlfiend.
Eventually I moved down to London and we moved in together, I'm just patiently waiting for the ring and proposal now...we got the order of things a little mixed up - I'm sure it is coming...any day now....
I will catch up later when I get the chance to, but this is on my mind and so I just wanted y'all opinion. I tried to use the search feature but either I suck at it or there's nothing recent that answered anything to me.
Anyways, I have been spotting for 4 days now and am currently on CD 26 since AF last started. It just occurred to me yesterday that maybe I just had an anovulatary cycle and may be experiencing a withdrawal bleed? Or could I just be randomly spotting in the middle of the cycle for who know whatever reason? I'm still getting to know my body without birth control since I was on the pills for so long before DD then the IUD after until last fall. I would greatly appreciate any insight, so I can decide whether to continue my long cycle or start again and say CD4. Thanks.
@sldp123 Sorry AF is
still sticking around. Like you said, with all the extra monitoring/meds you
probably don't need to temp. But if it makes you feel more comfortable- stick
with it.
@mrsdaddario Glad
your bloodwork came back normal. Although it sounds like it's only one piece of
the puzzle. My hormones are "normal" as well and yet they are not
"cooperating" at all as far as cycling goes. I guess you will know
more after your ultrasound and then the Dr can put everything together.
@berkebaby Enjoy
your trip next week. Fx you don't miss too much of your FW.
Month/cycle: 4/1 CD: 96
WAYDTGKU: PNV, stiiiiiiiill waiting
R/R/CS:
I've been trying to stay away from Dr Google regarding long cycles and also PCOS because I don't think I'm ready to go there yet. However I got sucked in a bit today and nothing I read was really positive. I did read some articles on ways to get your period back/"recovering" from birth control so may be adding/changing a few things I can do on my own. Not sure they will help at all but if I can cycle again before 6 months without waiting for help that would be a GOOD thing!
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?! I guess the condensed version is we met through a mutual friend. I was out getting coffee with said friend, and he had stopped in to grab a coffee on his way to work. I guess he had seen her and I there, and texted her after that he thought her friend was cute. We ended up stopping in at his work the next day and hit it off. Eventually found out we went to the same highschool, but missed each other by a year and that I went to a party thrown by his best friend's little sister (which he and his friend had to break up before the cops came). Not sure we would have hit it off as well if we had met then!
Love all the GTKY answers today. I really don't think there is a "bad" way to meet your SO/DH. However quirky, it's always going to be a part of your story and got you to where you are today! ETA: corrected month/cycle
R/R/CS: I'm just going to hang out here until I know what's going on with my body. i think O is due today but I haven't really got a clue... I was going to bench myself this month, but DH and I decided to more NTNP
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?!
at a rodeo, Both of us went with our SO at the time, he'd gone with a group which included a few mutual friends so we were introduced that way, that was October, nov I broke up with my SO, met DH again in nov, at a mates place when we all let up to go to a car show, met again at a Christmas party where we really hit it off, he broke up with his GF a few days before that as was supposed to move across the country, but ended up staying for a few week, he then invited me to his place for New Years where a few people were supposed to turn up but everyone else bailed, ended up just being us, and we've been together since. 4yrs this year since we met :-)

@BerkeBaby I teach primarily freshman. I teach Honors Geometry, and Algebra 1. The grading in Algebra 1 is minimal. A project here and there, quizzes and tests, entrance and exit tickets, etc. I spot check their homework everyday. In honors geometry I collect and grade every homework assignment through quarter 2 because the homework is so important in that class in terms of synthesizing the information. In quarter three I collect HW weekly and check two problems from each assignment. And then finally in quarter 4 I stop collecting it all together but I give daily homework quizzes. Plus the honors kids do more projects and assignments than the non honors group. Today it's just quizzes I'm grading so unfortunately I have no choice but to grade those. Luckily Quarter 4 is right around the corner so I'm almost done grading homework! I like the keeping them on their toes aspect though. That's what I do with my algebra 1 kids! What grade(s) / subject do you teach?
@aliciabehn - Holy cow! That sounds like so much work! I teach 9-12 English as Second Language. I mostly do spot checks, but I also do a lot of projects and in-class assignments. The work is nonstop, and as I get to the end of the semester, their essays and assignments get longer and more detailed. My seniors will have a massive end-of-the-year research project that is required by the district, so between reading To Kill a Mockingbird and completing the written test and essay for that, they will also have the big research project to do for the district. They will hate me by the end of the year, but I feel they will all be ready for the expectations in their college classes next year. They hate my class and my expectations now, but I've had a few students come back to tell me that college was easier than they expected after 4th quarter with me. Lol! I usually take that as a compliment.
@aammyy33 Yeah I'm really just waiting to hear what my OB has to say about the blood work because I interpreted the results myself. I truly do believe I have it, but to what degree I'm not sure. At the end of the day I just want to get everything regulated so I can start ovulating. As I'm sure you feel the same! As far as the PCOS thing for you, did your doctor hint around to it at all? Or did he/she just say if you make it until 6 months with no period, then we'll look more into it? I'm really keeping my fx you get AF soon and on your own. Did you have a withdrawal bleed after stopping BCP? Have you bled at all since stopping? You don't have to answer if that's TMI!
@BerkeBaby That's awesome! That honestly is the best part about teaching, when you know you've genuinely helped them become better students and people, even if they don't appreciate it in the moment. I feel similarly because my honors class is a culture shock to the students coming from the middle school. They hate me for a while because of the work load, but by the end of the year they have learned to manage their time so well and more importantly how to study. Also it sounds like our rolls are reversed, my end of the year grading is less and yours is more!
WAYDTGKU: trying bbt and OPKs this month for the first time. Will try BD EOD if I'm feeling up to it in the next few days
R/R/CS: I know it's late but been sick all day and just now rolling out of bed. So tired of being sick!
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?! High fives to all the rest of the match.com crew! DH loves to tell everyone how I messaged him first! I remember thinking how he had a gorgeous smile and looked like such a happy person and I was right.
@kellybean1988 - Your doctor sounds awesome! A good primary Doctor is so hard to find. I recently moved and both me an DH are looking for one and procrastinating because we can't decide on one.
R/R/CS: My rave: I think I O'ed today! positive OPKS yesterday morning and afternoon, ovary pain last night, and I still have fertile cm today. Here's hoping I get to travel to TWW soon. (Not that I don't like hanging out with you ladies.) As for a rant, I am really frustrated with my students. Spring Break was soooo early this year (the week before Easter), and its like they all think summer is around the corner. Um, no. Our last day of school is THE LAST WEEK OF JUNE. Reel it in, people.
GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?! Nothing crazy--we went to undergrad together. We were both history majors. We started seeing each other during the second semester of senior year! (Crazy considering that we only had a few more months living int he same town, but it clearly worked out.)
WAYDTGKU: all the honeymoon sexin'. 9 days in a row. Pretty sure this is a record for us. We have to do it once tomorrow in order to have a perfect game.
R/R/CS: I'm reasonably certain that I O'd yesterday. I'm still well within the window of the ol' O fake-out that my body likes to do, but I've had mittelschmertz today and yesterday, and that is usually a dead giveaway for actual O. But I always move over to TWW with the fake-out O, and then I get sad and move back. So I may lurk for a few days, and I may hang out in WTO. We'll see how motivated I'm feeling when I get back to the states on Saturday.
NBR: Italy has been f'ing magical, yall. Tomorrow is our last full day here. We're leaving Orvieto in the morning and headed back to Florence for one more night. Pretty stoked to get back into the city - I am a city girl, forever and always. The countryside blew me away, and I loved staying on a farm for a couple of nights, but this is our third night in Orvieto, and something about this medieval village in the dark freaks me out a little bit. Looking forward to cleansing the palate with one last night in the city before going home to my dog. My mom keeps sending me photos and threatening not to give my pup back to me. Rude.
I'm also looking forward to properly rejoining yall. DH and I had a sweet but long talk about TTC stuff today, and while it's been nice to have a break from thinking about it, the conversation made me realize that I need to get back into processing my many and varied emotions on all of this stuff instead of pushing it aside with all the activities. I'm a classic overthinker, and I don't do well when I don't take time to process. It'll be good for me to come down to earth, and you all help so much with keeping me grounded and focused.
Also: hello to all the new folks who have popped in over the last couple of weeks!! I look forward to getting to know you.
GTKY: since I wrote a novel above, I'll spare you the details. We were introduced by a mutual friend, who is still our BFF.
Just one photo from today. Civita is a straight-up fairyland:
@mrsdaddario - LOL, your husband sounds like mine. But just look at how many people we know on TB (and IRL) who met their partners online? It is no longer a weird thing for socially awkward people.
@furbabymom2008 - I'm not sure why I didn't notice this before, but we are totally twinsies in our cycles. (I really am 8 cycles TTC, but decided not to count the first one for TB purposes because it was annovulatory and super long.)
@Dilynne - if I were to guess, I would think that it is determining fertile or not fertile based on your CM. Honestly I use OPKs to help predict ovulation (they aren't 100% guaranteed to be accurate because you can get a positive and then not ovulate, but I like to have some idea when ovulation could happen). The real benefit I think to ff is not so much predicting fertile days as it is detecting when ovulation happened after the fact. Also if you enter CM data every day of your cycle you will be able to start to see patterns of what your body does every month. Unlike @nwegman7878 I don't like to track my CP because I feel like ti changes too dramatically even within a given day. Like I can check, pee, and then check again and it seems in a totally different position. And FF advanced settings s
Catching up now! Hope you guys had an awesome pre-Friday! Sorry if I missed anyone.
@sldp123 I keep watching your siggy gif over and over. I love it so much.
@mrsdaddrio Yikes, sorry about your bleeding. I hope it stops soon. *Read your update* Glad you were able to get some medicine! @JediAlly85 Glad you could get a BD session in before O!
@Sparty18 FX your OPK keeps listening to your pep talks!
@furbabymom2007 Sounds like something my sister would do. I don't blame you for keeping that wedding dress box closed until a little closer to the wedding.
@kellybean1988 I'm so glad your appointment went well, and that you have such a good connection with your doctor!
@zoey1019 Yay for your good timing! FX that you O soon! My H and I are about to have our 10 year "dating" anniversary in June, so I also always add that on when people ask how long we've been married (only one year!).
@beff12 I set an alarm for temping, that way it's at the same time everyday. I set it for before I actually need to wake up, and just go back to sleep after. I think it's worth it, that way you have consistent temp timing and no open circles!
@thj101 Love your story about how you met your DH!
@juliebeannn The soreness struggle is real. I could barely put on a bra today.
@canavara Wow, those are really weird dreams. You guys have an awesome story! So cute.
@kfair001 Love your story! So cute. Also - Get that massage scheduled, girl!
@mokay19 That sucks! I'd be frustrated too. Hope you were able to reschedule!
@longliveregina Yay for O! @lcsrva SO glad you're having an awesome time. Your photos have looked amazing. Also, holy sh!t to 9 days in a row. Get it girl!

@Lecool, I think I'll start doing that next cycle! I don't want to yet because I'd have to set my alarm for about 4:00 am to beat my random wake-ups haha. I'm going to let myself get used to it for the next couple weeks and hope that my brain will let me sleep, and then I'll find a good time to set my alarm for! The open circles make me sad.

WAYDTGKU: Just waiting for AF to leave.

Haha
edited to try to format the mess a little better
@kfair001 Glad you got a good sleep and workout in before work. Nothing beats getting your workout in the morning!
@sldp123 That's so neat that you met your husband on match.com SO and I didn't meet online but we were young and spent hours every night talking on MSN... does anyone remember the days of MSN? lol I've always thought the time we spent just talking and getting to know each other without any pressure has attributed to the relationship we have today
@mrsdaddario Good ol POF.

Match.com.
Now to responses! I've missed doing these!
@sldp123 - Sorry AF is being such a bitch.
@l9i - FX that work calms down for you!
@thj101 - What a cute story! I love that!
@juliebeannn - I had leg day yesterday. As a teacher who walks around a lot, this was a bad decision. All I could think of when you said "T-Rex arms" was this:
@sammajane19 - FX for your appointment on Monday!
@canavara - I think your story is pretty cute!
@mokay19 - "Don't look him in the eyes or you might fall in love." That's a great line and a great story!
It only took 5 years for me to develop this system! lol!
@SandwichLover - Cute story!
@thefarmerswife0411 - Yay CHs! I'll see you over in the TWW...eventually...if I ever O!
@Lecool - Glad your massage was so great!
@moosette113 - I love your gif! That's Firefly, right? It's on my list to binge on this summer!
@linzrunz - Oh no! I don't know what I would do without my favorite coffee place! Be strong!
Be back later for more responses!

GTKY: How did you and SO/DH meet?!

@Lecool Yay for your massage. I still haven’t booked an appointment but I’m strongly considering squeezing something in this weekend during an already hectic couple of days!
@moosette113 Glad you’re temps are evening out!
@linzrunz Haha first world problems is right! Had the same situation yesterday with me tea. :sad:
@bfhensen FX for O soon!
@MrsRoss89 I was the same way my first month temping. Constantly waking up paranoid that I’d miss my temp time. Your mind will relax more and more as you keep temping. Mine did and my charts look better and better every month! Also, about driving to see DH. I don’t think it’s crazy but maybe that makes me crazy too!
@BerkeBaby Wouldn’t be a bad idea to switch to a mabis mid-cycle. I did that last cycle. But I’d recommend maybe temping with both and logging both just in case it does make your chart a little wonky. My chart was wonky so I ended up using my old thermometer temps and then switch completely to the new thermometer this cycle. GL!
@PaukMeKiande I caved and got the FF VIP version too. I couldn’t resist! Too many good features that I couldn’t pass up on.

@kfair001 I feel great today too, not sure what it is! Glad you are feeling that way too! I thought the 14 day LP was interesting too. We’ll see what happens! Great story about how your met your DH, btw!
@mokay19 ooooh I hate it when visitors/customers ruin your plans! Argh, so frustrating. And lol my DH does that to himself with food and tummy aches too!
@aliciabhen Yes, AF is almost gone! Good luck on your grading
@SandwichLover Neat story about you and DH and your friend and her DH! My LP was only 10 days my first cycle off BC, but has gotten longer each cycle. We’ll see if this month is actually 14…
@thefarmerswife0411 yes for CH! Have fun over in TWW, hopefully I will be joining you in a week or so!
@Lecool Oh man, I’m so glad you enjoyed your massage. How nice!
@moosette113 yes, I can measure our life in music stuff too! My DH is a trombonist but I play viola (womp womp) so he has way more cool band stories than me. I never got to experience band life since I am a string player. But he played in orchestra with me and we sang in chamber singers together so I have those stories!
@thj101 another music person, woot!
@linzrunz lol love your story about your DH!
@bfhensen isn’t that funny how their jokes that made us laugh then are just annoying now? If I had a nickel for every time I heard “you USED to think I was funny, remember?” from the hubs I’d be rich--still love him though
@MrsRoss89 agreed about turning on the light when you’re half asleep to read the thermometer. Just wait until you fall asleep with the BBT in your mouth—I have done that now more times than I am comfortable admitting…lol
@BerkeBaby Oooh your trip to Baltimore is so soon! Can’t wait to hear about it!
@PaukMeKiande I broke down and did FF VIP too because I don’t like the free version either. Lol!
@whiska OK your story about meeting your DH is seriously epic. And I Iove that you said he “Longbottomed.” AWESOME.
@mrsdaddario for the record, this GTKY was great!
TTC January 2016
BFP May 17, 2016
DS born January 31st, 2017: Rory "Mac" MacKinnon
Month/cycle: 7/7
CD: 4
TEAM: PINK!!
Thanks.
@sldp123 Sorry AF is still sticking around. Like you said, with all the extra monitoring/meds you probably don't need to temp. But if it makes you feel more comfortable- stick with it.
@mrsdaddario Glad your bloodwork came back normal. Although it sounds like it's only one piece of the puzzle. My hormones are "normal" as well and yet they are not "cooperating" at all as far as cycling goes. I guess you will know more after your ultrasound and then the Dr can put everything together.
@l9i Hope work calms down for you.
@Sparty18 LOL! Glad your pep talk is working!
@Kellybean1988 Thanks for filling us in about your appointment. Sounds like a very productive day and glad your Dr is so supportive!
@Houseofsetters Glad you got your appointment booked!
@berkebaby Enjoy your trip next week. Fx you don't miss too much of your FW.
Month/cycle: 4/1CD: 96
WAYDTGKU: PNV, stiiiiiiiill waiting
R/R/CS: I've been trying to stay away from Dr Google regarding long cycles and also PCOS because I don't think I'm ready to go there yet.

4yrs this year
since we met :-)

WAYDTGKU: The norms
CD: 22

@furbabymom2008 - I'm not sure why I didn't notice this before, but we are totally twinsies in our cycles. (I really am 8 cycles TTC, but decided not to count the first one for TB purposes because it was annovulatory and super long.)
@juliebeannn At least you can do the Creep ;-)
@houseofsetters FX you don't need that appointment!
@SandwichLover That is such an awesome story! Love it.
@thefarmerswife0411 FX for you! Good luck over at the TWW!
@linzrunz Oh no! I feel you on the broken espresso machine. That is awful.
@BerkeBaby Have fun on your trip!
@whiska I love your story so much. That's amazing. Also - "Longbottomed" YES.
@babymish FX you won't need that appointment!
@Aphillips95 Sorry your cycle is so confusing. I hope your body cooperates soon!
@safire3 Sorry you're sick! Get well soon!
@longliveregina Yay for O!
@lcsrva SO glad you're having an awesome time. Your photos have looked amazing. Also, holy sh!t to 9 days in a row. Get it girl!
