Wardrobe - I'm barely pregnant, so not yet. I wear scrubs, so I'll just switch to my stretchier scrub tops and then a t shirt with scrub jacket when the time comes
Office food - we mostly just have sweets, but if any sandwiches show up no one would notice or care if I don't partake. I usually bring my own food
Happy hours - I work 12 hour shifts, so if we do go out after its only because the day was horrible (had a code blue or short staffed or something). I have an hour commute so no one would be surprised if I didn't come, plus I don't drink anyway, so no problem there for me!
When/how will you finally tell your employer? I already told her and a couple coworkers. They were all incredibly supportive with my loss, so I see no point in keeping it a secret this time
If you have morning sickness, how are you handling it at work? I don't have it yet, but I'm nervous about all the terrible smells that come with being a nurse!

Wardrobes: I gained the 10lbs I lost before our wedding back after my loss, so I'm already in my fat pants. I'm banking in the early spring to start wearing stretchy dresses soon.
Office Food: I occasionally go to meetings with food, but usually there are Preggo- friendly options.
Happy hours: luckily not a thing with my coworkers! I will say that when we went to lunch last week, I felt the need to fake drink a Diet Coke because I don't think I've ever not ordered one when we've gone out.
When will you tell your employer: Let me start by saying that I work at an organization dedicated to kids, so pregnancies are celebrated with great fanfare. That being said, my bosses are both men so it's a bit awkward to bring up. With my loss, I started bleeding at work at 10 weeks and had to tell my boss what was going on because I had to leave work suddenly. Id rather they know ahead of time, so I probably will bring it up this week. My coworkers wives are both pregnant and they've been not talking about it around me because of my loss. I will probably tell them before 12 weeks as well.
I think morning sickness is just starting today, so no experience with this yet. Last time, I just had a ton of crackets around to munch on and kept food and water with me at all times. That kept things at bay.
I work in healthcare, so I immediately let a few people know so that I can avoid working with potentially risky patients. I tend to wear looser tunic-style tops anyway so I'm not worried about adjusting that.
Re: food and drink I think claiming to be on a health kick can help. But also might be worth talking to your OB/midwife directly about what foods are safe/unsafe. There's a lot of outdated information re: dietary changes during pregnancy, it might surprise you how little you have to change things.
Mr bar tip the last time around was to get a club soda with lime.
Re: morning sickness I'm stalking too! I had none with baby 1 but it's AWFUL this time around. I've recently been trying a 1/2 unisom plus B6 but it makes me a zombie.
I've had so many doctor's appointments between the fertility treatments and early pregnancy that I kind of wonder if my boss thinks I'm dying.
^This! My boss looks so concerned when I tell her I have another appointment and asks if I'm okay. And know that I'm pregnant it will only get worse.

Wardrobe - making any changes yet? - No changes yet, thankfully. This is my 3rd, with my first I made it pretty far before having to make apparel changes. With my second, I used the rubber band trick and long maternity tanks from target to cover up. (I love the Target tanks!).
Office food - if any "no nos" are brought in, are you avoiding them? This one is pretty easy because I normally eat very healthy and bring in my own food anyway. No one would notice if I declined a sandwich or anything. The idea to say you're doing whole30 is a great idea!
Happy hours - declining the event altogether? Or giving a good excuse for not drinking? - Do any of your co-workers know, or does your husband go? I would always order a drink and set it in front of me and carry it around, but let my husband be the one to drink it. Or you can order a seltzer with lemon or something, so it looks like you're having a mixed drink.
When/how will you finally tell your employer? I will tell mine when it starts to become obvious. I work in a professional and kind of old-school environment (I am an attorney) so I am a little nervous to tell them. Mostly nervous because it feels like I was just out on maternity leave with my last DD. I have only been back a year since then!
If you have morning sickness, how are you handling it at work? I feel like hot garbage 99% of the time and that has been rough! So far I have been treating with jelly beans... Let me know if you get better ideas
So, I just wanted to add I went out with my coworkers on Friday (we had been planning this since before I got my BFP) and I pulled the waitress aside and told her I was pregnant and it was a secret and said when I order a cranmaretto (cranberry juice and amaretto my drink of choice and my coworkers all know it) can you just bring me a cranberry juice in the cocktail glass.
Literally no one noticed and the waitress thought it was great that she was in on the secret!
So I just told my boss.. He is leaving in June and he took me out to lunch and I told him. I guess it really doesn't matter since I'll have a new boss, but I guess it couldn't hurt for us to already have a plan in place that the new boss will have to just deal with.
@MissAmeliaPond I am having very similar issues! I'm 8 weeks and I've missed so much work. I've even been carted away in an ambulance! Lol. Blaming it on vertigo right now, because that's the truth, but now m/s is setting in. I have to tell my boss something. I'm nervous because I run a real estate team and he's the lead agent. I know he will be stressed to know I'm not 100% available and I feel like that will cause me more stress. If we hire temps, I'll have to train them so it's a very uncomfortable situation. There are about 400 agents in the office and we have monthly happy hours too. I'll just have to decline for now as I'm not ready to share with everyone until 12 weeks. But people can tell I don't feel good and they're concerned and keep asking if I'm ok. Today I was dry heaving at my desk. Our walls our so thin!! I just left work. I'm so embarrassed!! Help!!!
