  I prefer Helena, but I've never heard it pronounced like you indicate. It's Hul-ee-nuh.

  I like Serena better. As pp mentioned, Helena has too many different pronunciations. I dont like Hel-eh-nuh or Huh-lee-nuh. I do like Huh-lay-nuh.

  Ahh both great, so it's hard to choose. I think I would give Helena the edge since it is the name of my angelic little niece (though if I told you how her parents chose to spell it you might gag). Can't go wrong with either name though!

  I like Serena. It sounds graceful, but at the same time reminds me of Serena Williams, and she's an epic badass.
